  1. So there is no way for him to be exonerated, if true. Like I said an impossible standard that your side of argument demands in order to maintain position that he is guilty
  2. Exoneration is an impossible standard for him to reach when prosecutors didn’t find ample evidence to even put him on trial. So by your logic any person accused can be presumed guilty. How do we know you haven’t beaten your wife and she is simply too dominated by you and the patriarchy to make an accusation? I’d have to assume that is the case since you can’t prove otherwise.

  4. I’m just going to assume every one here has beaten their wife since none of you have proven otherwise
  5. I love semantic quibbles they are so valuable. Thanks for the response
  6. IMO the first 90 feet are the most important by far, so if that .437 OBP translates at all to major league level I could give two shits about seven homeruns
  7. People forget the white flag trade wasn’t the only element of the white flag. They also traded Harold for a bag of balls
  8. If I open up a s%*# sandwich cafe in Chicago, does that mean I’m a big market restauranteur
  9. If Sox have enough players producing in order to cover 2b/3b/SS, and three non-catcher bench spots at the same time in order to bump Rojas from the roster, I will be amazed. If any of our crappy set of Ofers go down, he could be playing everyday in RF at some point for all we know. It would basically be everything going right with unestablished players and everyone else remaining healthy to have no room for him
  10. I think it’s Baldwin and Meidroth as SS until Montgomery is called up. Rojas was signed for his ability to cover multiple positions in IF and OF, not to cover SS
  11. Is it just me or is Meidroth a strange looking fellow. My first thought when i saw him was Brian Peppers and I haven’t thought of that unfortunate sod for years
  12. Meidroth played more at SS than 2b with red sox org not sure I would consider that a change of position
  13. Yeah I had thought Vlad had best OF arm I had seen during my lifetime (Clemente before my time and Evans was an old man by my time) but I think I’d go with Ichiro. Bo had some doozies too
  14. Considering Ichiro’s best season was his fourth and his second best OPS season came in his ninth, I would say we must have seen more than 2-3 years of his prime. Speaking of ninth season, he reached his 2000th career hit in that year. Pretty sure that had never been done before, 2000 hits in nine seasons. All while winning nine consecutive gold gloves. Come on now he’s obvious hall of famer I was living in Phoenix area back in 2001 and was completely hyped to see Ichiro. So I bought tickets to first M’s game at Scottsdale Stadium. Not to be disappointed, Ichiro unleashed the most incredible throw I have seen in my life. I swear to god he was standing directly in front of the OF wall in the RF corner foul territory and threw a line drive perfect strike to third base no bounce. The runner was already there but god damn that was easily most impressive throw I’ve ever seen. The second baseman in the outfield grass could have cut that throw off. That’s when I knew the hype was real
  15. Maybe he and other international players should be subject to a draft
  16. Justin Anderson put up 0.5 WAR for our Sox in 13 less innings. Comparing numbers, someone explain how possible: Anderson: 53.1 IP, 4.22 FIP, 8.1 H/9, 0.8 HR/9, 5.4 BB/9, 9.6 K/9, 1.5 WHIP, 4.39 ERA LeClerc: 66.2 IP, 3.42 FIP, 7.6 H/9, 0.9 HR/9, 4.3 BB/9, 12.0 K/9, 1.32 WHIP, 4.32 ERA
  17. 0 WAR should be considered harm since it theoretically results in .294 winning percentage. As I said in my previous post, I don’t see how he could be 0 WAR though
  18. That makes no sense to me. No way a replacement level player could reasonably be expected to produce equivalent numbers: 3.42 FIP, 12 K/9, 0.9 HR/9, 7.6 H/9. His walk rate is high, but it’s not that high imo (4.3). At any rate, seems like a good bet to produce better results (4.32 ERA). If a pitcher could be relied on to put up those numbers he wouldn’t be a replacement player
  19. Yeah but if you had you best manager at A ball you could just promote him to majors. It’s not like a manager had to advance minor league levels to adapt to better pitchers
  20. Is Siri malfunctioning? That’s not irony
