bos is mention and i am surprise that the sox were mention. but kw did a good job.
  6. b/c he has major league experience and success. Yes to the experience, but certainly NOT this year to the success. He's a far cry from the 14 game winner he was last year, and he even had 12 losses. yeah he been having a bad yr, but he might be the better choice instead with a rookie. I agree. That's why I'm saying "after danny throws some more 54 Footers." If he get's rocked against Seattle, and whoever he starts against after that, than Kenny should maybe consider Cotts. ok i see now what you were saying. with that, you are right.
  7. b/c he has major league experience and success. Well, personally...I'm for loyalty..so if I can get Robbie back here at a decent price, then that leaves the money that it would cost for Vidro to resign other parts of this team, your CLees, Buehrles, etc...Don't get me wrong, Vidro is a talent, but I have no problem at all having Robbie patrolling second base at the age of 36. Keep the team intact, sans Everett, Roleplayer White, and maybe Jose...but only lose Jose if we can get a nicer name in here at SS...which probably won't happen. i am for keeping roberto, and keeping jose at ss. jose brings alot to the team. believe me on this. i have never been toooo impress withjose vidro.
  8. it was those comments made in the press that got the players to vote no.
  9. and they gave up alot to get shannon stewart for the run.

  13. I was referring to the incident where Fisk and Donn Pall were not allowed into the clubhouse during the playoffs. They were both part of the team that year. i remember something about that, maybe somebody could tell this better than i. if i remember and i am giving the opportunity to be wrong, but i think there was a vote and the players didn't want them there. with fisk was the way he was forced to retire and they couldn't allow pall in after they did that to fisk, I'd certainly be interested in having that story confirmed, if it is correct. That's the first I've heard about that. you know what, i remember that, but as i said, i may be wrong on this. the situation of forcing fisk to accept retirement was a distraction and was ugly. i know that the sox took a hit on the pr side, but it was a deed that needed to be done.
  14. do you think that may happen. i am for keeping him. question, what would you do if you can get jose vidro for the cheaper or the same.

maybe its time to admit he is going bald and doesn't have to cover up anymore. but the big picture is if it helps brings the team even closer and brings fun to the clubhouse, i am for it. do you remember when the sox had kangaroo court with robin venture being the ' judge. that was the yr when they were doing good and i believe the strike killed the season.
  17. the fisk problem was bad and i am sorry for fisk, but it needed to be done. i am saying this in ref to him being forced to retire. his fault is his total trust in his employees, his gm. both on the bulls and baseball.
  18. i cringed when i saw the prospect the yanks traded for williamson. i know we could have countered with some of ours. interesting read on what we gave up in potential http://espn.go.com/mlb/columns/downonthefa...rm/1580231.html
  19. the thing that i am trying to figure out is our 2b situation in the offseason.
  20. i am looking foreward to the arz fall league and spring training. we are going to have soooo many options. btw thanks
