  2. if we want a cf for the cheap, bring back ricky henderson.
  3. that was a harsh comment. so unlike you.

    Rod Beck

a nice article. at first i thought the worst.
  5. CHICAGO WHITE SOX Scouting Director: Duane Shaffer (now senior director of player personnel) Players who have reached the major leagues: OF Joe Borchard (1). First pick: Borchard. The White Sox gave the former Stanford quarterback a record $5.3 million bonus as the 12th overall pick. He has as much raw power as any prospect, and showed it by homering in his first major league at-bat last year. Best late-round pick: LHP Heath Phillips (10). A draft-and-follow signed in 2001, Phillips has posted an 8-23 record in two seasons but has drawn comparisons to Mark Buehrle for his approach. Biggest disappointment: RHP Alvin Jones (4). Drafted out of a Texas high school, Jones is 1-6, 8.39 with 84 walks in 84 career innings. The one who got away: C Tony Richie (5) had first-round aspirations in 2000, so when he fell to the fifth round he headed for Florida State. He is projected to go in the second or third round this time around. 3B Kyle Boyer (24) and RHP Tom Gorzelanny (38) could be drafted even higher than Richie. Interesting developments since 2000: Doug Laumann took over for Shaffer as scouting director after this draft when Shaffer was promoted. Grade/Assessment: Beyond Borchard, it doesn't look like the White will get an everyday player out of this draft. Because he has the power to be a middle-of-the-order run producer, Borchard alone could save this draft. 2B Tim Hummel (2), whom the White Sox were projecting in the Jeff Kent mold, hasn't lived up to expectations and might fit better in a utility role. Depth: D. Impact: B
  6. i quit responding to him a long time ago. i kick myself in the ass for starting today.
  7. hmm last time i checked JESUS CHRIST was crusified............so you can quit with your holier than thou attitude.... we never said anything about holding people responsible for their actions was wrong............you just apply the punishment to the crime....a house party when parents arent home is not a serious offense.....geez us every kid in america has tried it at least once or twice.....unless of couse they were locked in the cellar...... Yes, Christ chose to be crucified to atone for the sins of mankind. What is your point in bringing that up? by your hollier than thou attitude, i thought you were trying to be him
  8. well i gues you are up for sainthood. you are soooo perfect. give me a break.
  9. oh come on ldf wheres your sense of humor these days??????? i stated you may not think my opinion was a feeling one in that post....should have been your first clue to how i meant the comment..........turn around is fair play and all things happen for a reason and what comes around eventually goes around.............hes payin for past sins.. the sox im sure are a minor part of it though .........lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol...........i still find this too amusing.. well maybe its the timing of it............... ok i take back what i said about your post.
  10. i hate the guy with as much passion as anyone, but to say this is faith b/c of the way he screwed up the team is reaching. if he was a jerk to his kids, which we really don't have this info, then i might say other things.
  11. no-one is saying that they shouldn't be punished. you said; i am saying and said that this might be the reason to tow the line, a second chance of being a good citizen. just b/c they did something stupid doesn't mean they are harden crimmals. i know of kids that went straight after a weekend in county, b/c they got the s*** scared out of them and they are outstanding citizens and fathers.
  12. Young people who ruin their lives by doing stupid stuff like this likely didn't have bright futures ahead of them anyway, so they might as well break the law at a young age and end up behind bars where they belong. that is an assine thought. kids do stupid thing and then they grow up. with the 16 yr old his record will get clean up after he becomes an adult. the older may learn an important lesson here.
  13. if you know his son personally, are they that type that steals and breaks in? what is the take on them.
  14. oh yeah that is a great article and proves everything about what a handful of posters been saying. esp on the trades
  15. its been the history of the game to boo opposing players and the home team. it is part of the tradition to do so. the fans that are booing are showing their anger at the way the sox are playing, if they didn't want to hear it, then play better, win more games. the fans are feed up with losing and any player should feel the same way.

    Does anyone know...

thing is most men works on the abs and forget to work out the back. the trainer for bulls or sox i can't remember who said this, but what he said is you need to work both sides of the muscles. which means the abs and lower back. he mention that you see a big increase in players who suffers from a hammy, b/c they work on the front part of the muscle of the thighs and forget about the hammy and groin.
  17. I have the curtains drawn tight and am wearing sunglasses. LOL LDF, I work midnight shift, and kill hours upon hours on this board and other places on the net. I usually have to kill 4 to 5 hours a night. It's boring as hell, but it pays the bills. i know what you mean bud, i did midnights for 9 yrd and i system is still all screwed up. but atleast you have access to a puter to kill time.

    Does anyone know...

when you are working out, do some for the lower back. the one thing that most forget you need to do the same amount of exercise to the opposite side of the muscle. so the bottom line if you are doing regular sit-ups, then do the invert sit-up. i can't think of what it is called. then do a slooowwww streching exercise for the lower back.

i have been guilty of calling someone names, but with reasons and they were made public. if you have a prob with wsf, state it! if not, then calling someone an idiot for an opinion is sure bs.
