Why not back your comments up with something substantial? Man of Steel if you can honestly tell me that you don't consider K State's game at Mizzou to be a tough game, you must be smoking something. Actually, I hope that is the attitude the entire K State team takes going into that game. Mizzou's defense is going to be much better this year and anything can happen when Brad Smith has the ball (with practices showing his arm is much stronger this year). You honestly think K State is going to be able to do the same thing to OU again???

Orton has a lot of hype behind him, especially being expected to surpass Brees' single season records. He's still going to tear it up this season. If I remember right he looked pretty good in killing U of I in West Lafayette last year and I expect more of the same against your "football team" in a few weeks. Remind me again why an Illini fan is even wasting their time in a College Football thread this year?

Sure did. Only one game though. Just wait til the game in Columbia this year, no way that s*** happens again.

A lot of it is bringing in a good coaching staff and nailing that one star recruit. Purdue was absolutely horrible for a LONG time and then they brought in Joe Tiller and got Drew Brees. Tiller realized that it was tough to recruit against ND in Indiana and focused quite a bit on Texas and other places Purdue wouldn't normally recruit. A high percentage of Purdue's best players in the last 5-6 years are from TX. The increase in wins led to an increase in interest, which led to better facilities and recruiting. Right now IU has to find some way to get around Purdue's good program and ND's legacy if they are going to recruit in-state.

Now that I'm at Mizzou I can't forget about the most exciting player in college football:

Big Ten could be won by 6 different teams this year, that being said if the defense shows up, Purdue is going to kick some ass

it won't be the same as at Purdue but at least i get to "enjoy" IU here at Mizzou this year

I turned it on as they showed the one before Dunn, Dunn's and Bond's from Sunday night @ Turner... then they cut to today and the ball is already coming off of Joe's bat

his homer is only #2 on the top 10... except they've shown it 3-4 times now i didn't realize NOBODY was at the Cell today

So ESPN was leading up to Joe's bomb with the longest HRs of the year and then cut quick to Joe's and barely get it in...

I've been looking into tix for this weekend and it appears all 3 games have sold quite a few tix already.

You could probably walk on to the football team too I will admit, Bloomington's a lot of fun. The rivalry is one of the things I'm going to really miss. Enjoy it while it lasts!
