  1. hopefully we can add Kobe in Chicago to that list next year
  2. i was just talking to a friend about this game... i've been looking forward to a good baseball game, it looks like EA might have finally made it
  3. We straight up suck right now. Having Kenny Lowe go out hurt, but even with him back last night, we couldn't win a close one. Unless we go 5-1 the rest of the way out, which would include a victory at MSU or Whisky, I don't think we deserve to make the tourney. Also, the Duke team we beat in Alaska is nowhere near the Duke team that's out there now, HUGE difference. All I care about now is beating IU on Saturday... but there's not even that much hope left there either.
  4. Like others have said, he's been pretty on when it comes to stuff like this... I still won't believe it 'til I see it in another source. I just thought I'd throw it out there for people to discuss.
  5. Don't know how much validity there is behind this, but it'll be interesting to follow: CAMPAIGN DRAMA ROCKS DEMOCRATS: KERRY FIGHTS OFF MEDIA PROBE OF RECENT ALLEGED INFIDELITY, RIVALS PREDICT RUIN http://www.drudgereport.com/

  7. JR put the blinders on and just saw the attendance the late part of the season when the team was doing well, thus thinking demand was up. That or he's getting pointers from Bill Wirtz again.
  8. NL: MVP - Pujols Batting Champ - Helton HRs - Bonds RBIs - Pujols Cy Young - Prior Wins - Prior Saves - Gagne NL Champ - Houston AL: MVP - ARod Batting Champ - Vlad HRs - ARod RBIs - Delgado Cy Young - Pedro Wins - Pedro Saves - Foulke AL Champ - Boston World Series - Houston over Boston in 6 Comeback Player of the Year - Konerko ...Can Frank win this again?? I didn't pick ROYs. Also, I have a feeling ARod's too much of a gamer to care about the trade crap, he'll just go out and continue to produce. I'm sure by picking these guys now I just cursed at least one of them and they'll be out for the year mid-way through Spring Training.
  9. MB: 19 Loaiza: 16 Garland: 17 Shoenweis: 12 Group of 5th starters: 10
  10. now i have to decide if i want to go with just Purdue across the top and 129 in the middle or Purdue129 w/different number decisions, decisions
  11. The new jersey looks awesome! Well done Cheat!!
  12. I'd agree. I've been to the Cell(obviously), Fenway, Wrigley, SkyDome, Miller, the Jake, Busch and SBC(I still want to call it PacBell). SBC is the only park I've been to that I'd rather see a game in than the Cell. I'm sure there is some bias on my part, but the Cell is a great place, especially when full. Fenway was a cool place to be at, but I was down the 3B line and the sight line wasn't that great... and the inside of the stadium is falling apart worse than Wrigley. SBC puts everything together. I've been to 3 games there and sat in 3 different areas, every seat was a great view.
  13. looks like i know what i'm getting my girlfriend for v-day
  14. A couple of good ones: Pulp Fiction: I was reading an article with Samuel L. Jackson that he has never had anyone come up to him and be able to say that whole thing verbatim. There's a ton of them from that movie that I love, but would probably get me banned for content. Usual Suspects: Godfather:
  15. It's always interesting to hear a Sox fan's point of view on the whole situation. I agree that he should be let in before Rose(if Rose ever is let back in). BTW... Shoeless Joe hit .375 that series, didn't he?
  16. ESPN is probably just quoting the Seattle Times article. They were quoting the Trib and Sun-Times during the whole a-rod/nomar/manny/maggs ordeal. I could be wrong, but it looks like the Seattle Times is the only source.
  17. I agree, I think that may be the one thing we can believe coming from KW.
  18. KW better hold up his promise to do whatever he can to keep Maggs here... we'll see. I just hope Maggs doesn't hold out for more money and end up somwhere like detroit
  19. Yeah, i've been looking into all those sites. Southwest seems to be the cheapest for air. I just didn't know if the team had anything else. I've been tossing around what to do for Spring Break this year, somehow I hadn't thought about going down to AZ 'til now.
  20. Does anybody know if the Sox offer any kind of discounts/specials with any of the hotels in the Tucson area? I didn't see any on the website and I didn't take time to check out the booth at SoxFest.
  21. Exactly what I was going to say, including thinking that Garland will step up. If the team plays anything like Ozzie is gunning for(aggressive w/lots of emotion), I don't think 86 wins is a stretch.
  22. Just got back from SoxFest not too long ago. First off, I want to thank aboz56 for hooking me up with his extra tickets today, we an awesome time. It was cool to see aboz and Steff(at least I think it was her) as questions to KW. Things apparently didn't get as heated today as they did last night, but it was still a little testy at times. I actually got to talk to Jose for awhile near the Grandstand booth. He was very receptive and said he doesn't care about trade talks, when another fan asked him. I don't post here a whole lot, but always enjoy reading what everyone has to say. Keep it up. If all goes well a pic of me(not so flattering) and Black Jack should be attached.
  23. Nets are officially off the table; Trump's officially not involved: http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news;_ylc=X3oD...ov=ap&type=lgns for anyone that cares
