IF Hilliary Rodham Clinton....
There's a long time between now and 08. Lots of things could happen. In any case, despite the apparently weak field on the Dem side for 04, the economy could still sink Bush II just like it did his dad. He's not a complete lock from where I stand.

Cwsox/Vince
I try to go out of my way to be decent while still giving my opinion. I've probably been over the top a few times. The situation you describe Steff is a big reason why I don't post on Whitesox.com and basically stick here. (Still lurk on WSI) I hope all the hard feelings are smoothed over. The whole White Sox SS situation has been a touchy subject (among many others!) for several seasons. The team is imploding and everybody is getting in a foul mood. Yesterdays game was just a brutal one to lose. YASNY and CW are great WS fans in my book. Hope everything is cool now and I don't mean to ignore anybody else who posted here. Lets win one today, Cleveland is one of my favorite teams to beat. I remember the great rivalry we had with the Tribe back in the day.

nice catch jose
Thanks for all the info. Because of my cable situation I'm limited to WGN games and since we moved south I can't seem to get Rooney and Farmer for the nite games. Got to depend on Soxnetters to fill me in.

World Crossing Sox Fans
I checked out your link and found a great story on Minnie Minoso. I'm one of the "older" White Sox fans here and I wish I could get some of the young bucks at Soxnet to appreciate what a great player and great person Minoso is. Probably the most popular White Sox player ever and good enough to make my Hall of Fame, if not the official one.

nice catch jose
I plead guilty. I have been one of the biggest supporters of Jose and was one of the biggest trashers of the man called Royce. I finally got to see the play last nite on WGN. He's got to catch the ball. End of story.

How screwed we are for the future
All I know is that our really good position prospects that will be All-Stars for years and years in a row are Reed and Webster....and Borchard, if you count him. Otherwise, I am f***ing clueless. First lessson. None of them are all stars for years to come. A LARGE majority of cant miss prospects, actually MISS. Paul Konerko was a can't miss prospect. Now he always misses...the ball that is(offensively and defensively). Or if he isn't missing the ball, he's grounding into a DP. I remember seeing the first round of the 1998 draft...and like half the guys are in the league and are putting up solid numbers somewhere. That was the year we drafted Kipper....and now he is pitching lights out in Pittsburgh. Will somebody please tell me what the hell happened to that guy? I've heard some rumblings about a hip condition similar to Albert Belles, but I would like more concrete info. Anybody know?

Frank Thomas new Sox record
And lunging at outside ones.

Good news
And to think this was supposed to be their strength.

FUCK YOU ARMANDO
I warned about him several times, saw him in Pittsburgh, real nice guy but not a good ballplayer of late. Very one dimensional, if he ain't hitting then he's not worth it.

True sox fans
Peter Gammons recently proposed just that. He said 4 teams should be contracted including the White Sox. He's a blowhard but he was right when said something is "terribly wrong" with the franchise.

Upcoming Draft
Here's a list of the top thirty draft prospects according to Baseball America: http://www.baseballamerica.com/today/draft...ttracker03.html CWSOX45 I depend on certain folks at this site to keep me updated on the draft, prospects, the minors, etc. Thanks for linking this list. I see there is a kid from Mass and another from Pa in the top ten. Other than that, a modern trend is continuing, very few American kids from the north making it to the majors when compared with other areas of the country and Latin America.

List of Excuses
I don't know if anybody did or didn't but welcome to Soxnet and hope you stick around. You were one of the best at Whitesox.com IMHO. Oh well better late than never. I did a search and see you got a proper welcome, which of course you deserve.

Bob Hope 100 years old today
I turned nine the month they were in the WS. Thought it was the first of many. The joke was on me.

What if Pinella?
Piniella is my favorite in the game today. Wish we had him.

Series Preview: Cleveland Indians
He was looking real good in his last start and then his teammates made him pitch for about six outs in the sixth inning. That was about as awful an inning as I've seen the Sox play defensively in a long time. That's saying something.

A Deeper Look: What Should Kenny Do?
Either that or go on a long term scouting assignment in the Amazon Basin.

List of Excuses
How about the dog ate my homework? Seriously though, I'm still a Sox fan after all these many difficult years, but I'm just damn tired of the excuses. Win something already. As far as I'm concerned the last team to actually win something was the 59 team. Sad.

IF ya get "squeezed or patted" in the bottom....
Times sure have changed since I was your age, which was of course in Medieval times. Not only was nobody grabbing my butt, I thought twice about grabbing some young ladys rear end. It usually meant a quick sock in the jaw. Of course if you were going "steady" and promised eventual marriage then something might be worked out.

SN Report: Alomar Headed to the DL
Sandy on the DL. What a surprise.

Managerial Candidate
Perhaps you were thinking about Gary Templeton the old San Diego SS. My wires get crossed sometimes too. Pendleton was MVP I think in 91, the year the Braves turned the corner. By the way, even though the Braves have one only one WS during their long run of success I greatly admire that organization for continually adjusting and staying in the thick of things. I wish our White Sox could do the same. Back to Pendleton, he definitely wouldn't be the wallflower type. He was a winner all the way, not real great natural talent, but did the little things and knew how to win. I'd like him in some capacity for our team.

NBA FINALS
Spurs in 6. By the way, what was with that 3rd and 4th quarter meltdown by the Mavs?
