QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Nov 22, 2005 -> 02:21 PM) In that case, I'll have my people read it. Damn, I wish I had "people" that could do s*** for me like that. Aren't they called graduate students? (she typed bitterly)

QUOTE(Iwritecode @ Nov 22, 2005 -> 11:56 AM) I think he did it because of the unwritten rule that Chrismas decorations (especially trees) are not allowed to be put up until the weekend after Thanksgiving at the earliest. Thanksgiving is becoming a forgotten holiday... I'm coming to your house next.

QUOTE(Rex Kickass @ Nov 22, 2005 -> 11:51 AM) It WAS a Santa Chomsky actually. Ooops, my mistake. But I did succeed in ruining your Christmas, and that was the main point. . .
-
QUOTE(Rex Kickass @ Nov 22, 2005 -> 11:43 AM) So that's why you ran into my apartment and threw my Christmas Tree out the window and broke my Santa Claus gnome? Yes. Well, that and all gnomes MUST be named Chomsky. . .

Just wondering. And, if you picked food--make sure to tell us which one is your fave!

That's because I am the only authorized ruining Christmas agent.

QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Nov 22, 2005 -> 04:05 AM) And oh yeah Soxy, the guy I'm sitting next to, he's Scottish (but he's a Hearts Supporter). The question is: how tall is he? I kid, I kid. No, seriously, how tall is he?

QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Nov 21, 2005 -> 06:31 PM) Actually, if you study the Old Testament the Hebrew people were perpetrating some world-class evil against their neighbors, backed by God of course. Of course if you sicced Old Testament God on us he'd have us wiped out for allowing the religous freedoms we do. Mmmmm, I think that it's not so much you should repay evil with evil as much as evil comes to those who are evil. So, it's not condoning the use of evil, but saying that it's a sort of divine retribution that will befall the evil. If you look at the Proverbs and stuff it's not the evil should have evil things done to them, it's more of a God will take care of them. And ultimately, I think that's a huge difference between the SOA and what's up in biblical times. There God it handing out the retribution and in Juggs case we've replaced God's wisdom in "punishment" with our own subjective judgements of evil, repayment, and a very relativistic sense of morality that, in my opinion, is not at all based in the Judeo-Christian ethos.

QUOTE(JUGGERNAUT @ Nov 21, 2005 -> 03:45 PM) Sometimes you have to fight "evil" with "evil". If you don't have that capability then "evil" can use that which you hold dearest against you. I'm going to need a Bible verse to back up that statement. Or some other moral source from which you are justifying that statement. . .

QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Nov 20, 2005 -> 06:15 PM) Glad you found it and gave it a spin. Ours just showed up today, so we will get a chance to tray a bottle or three over the next couple of days. I'd be lying if I didn't say my friend and I each drank a bottle last night. Nice little tasty treat. However, neither of us had a hangover. So, rock on, Beaujolais Nouveau!

Drank a bunch of that last night. Really a very light tasting wine and pretty tasty. Very easy to drink a lot of it though. . .A lot. Thanks for the recommendation Flaxx!

QUOTE(qwerty @ Nov 19, 2005 -> 07:21 PM) People of all ages read these books... so i would say no he isn't. Plus there are a lot of clever jokes (I love all the latin names and spells). And I think the last 3 books (so far) have been far more "adult" in content than children's books.

QUOTE(Rex Kickass @ Nov 19, 2005 -> 03:08 PM) I love shopping at Wegman's. One day, I'll be able to afford the 20 dollar cheese. Or the Olive Bar. When people come to visit me, and I am not kidding, Wegman's is part of the why Binghamton doesn't suck tour. Wegmans = the best grocery store EVER!
-
Meh, Subway will do if I'm driving long distance and want some fast food. But for my money the best subs = Wegman's. Mmmmmmmmmmm.

Analyzing the second half of an experiment (the first half worked so hopefully this trend will continue!!!!!)! E-mailing some people about their methodologies. Revising a manuscript. Getting wasted on cheap wine and watching all the Harry Potter movies.

They should have gone with Mr. Rochester, although Jane is quite scrappy. Hahahaha.
