My own Jesus debate thread
Now I am being deadly serious: I have actually seen kids at my school wearing these shirts and trucker hats. The first time I was like, what the holy goodness is this? But then I realized what it was. I have no clue, one boy is fairly religious, the rest, well I didn't even want to ask. Why would you wear this? I just don't know. Ack.

Twins Joe Mauer leaves game with sprained knee:
Matt LeCroy is a friggin moose--if he went up north during hunting season he would be in serious danger. Um, that's all. And here's the latest from Roto: MINNEAPOLIS (Ticker) - Minnesota Twins rookie catcher Joe Mauer has a torn meniscus cartilage in his left knee and will be sidelined indefinitely. Twins general manager Terry Ryan confirmed on Wednesday that Mauer, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2001 draft, will undergo surgery at a date to be determined.

Now it sounds a little more serious than 3 weeks... from rotoworld

"Go out and get drunk, do whatever"
Why not? Our pitchers got lit up during the ninth--why shouldn't the rest of the team get their turn.... Oh, wait...

The light at the end of the tunnel
Sad but true....And funny.

Twins Win
Yep, just unlucky I live in Minnesota till May... :puke I love my Soxies, but I don't love stupid fairweather Twinkies fans. Sigh, at least my season can only improve.

So the Sox boned opening day
Oh, funniest part of my passover seder: So, Moses has a speech impedement in the Bible (not that you'd know by Charlton Heston), and the group that put on the Seder did a dramatic reading of the Exodus story. And the kid that read Moses did it with a speech impedement. I can honestly say it was the best Biblically accurate thing I have ever seen in my life. Ever. Ever. Ever.

The OFFICIAL bitch and moan about how much the sox
Jaysus, if I wanted to hear this much b****ing I would go to a Cubs board. It's the first game of the ever-loving season! Pessimism is not the new black--so KNOCK IT OFF! You'd think by all of the carrying on by some people (not this thread so much) that for our next game we would be introduced by the 4 horsemen of the apocoplyse. Okay, just needed to get that out of my system.

Twins Win
7-4 in 11.... I'm not going to class to avoid all the horrible Twins fans. I don't rag on them, but they don't seem to return the favor. Rats!

UCONN VS. G.TECH NAT'L CHAMP. THREAD
Go Tennessee! Oh, wait, sorry, I was confused.... I'll pick the underdog and say Go yellow jackets! Edit: Hm, guess who didn't watch the game--yeah, totally posted this after the game had ended. Ooops. I stand by my Go Lady Vols, though...

So the Sox boned opening day
Shoot, that wasn't in my book! Of course, I can't read Hebrew, so I wouldn't have noticed anyway.... But some of the songs were kind of peppy...

forget the game
You would... I like the one with the English lady...I wonder what the American one would be...

So the Sox boned opening day
Went to a Pasech Seder, ate matzot, drank Morgan David, had my bitter herbs, heard about the ancient Isrealites being freed from Pharoah, and had a lovely time...I figure I'll just keep trying religions until they win....

More Slackhawks
Neverending winters yes....Prince, hmmmmm, he's not even that exciting since his conversion.

More Slackhawks
Blech, I can't watch basketball--it's the most boring sport in the world, in my honest opinion. Yeeeeeeeech. I do think Kevin Garnett is pretty cool, though, but as a rule wouldn't go even if I got free tickets.

More Slackhawks
Doesn't surprise me, there really isn't much else to do here. But the Wild is one of the best reasons to come up here...
- Wish me luck...

Very true.... My best friend has season tickets so we have amazing seats, and that helps...But I don't think anyone loves hockey as much as Minnesotans! Games against Vancover are the craziest though... And I don't know if they show it on tv, but the State of Hockey song is probably the best song in all of professional sports. Dear Gawd, it's just pure kitsch, it's amazing. Yeah, I love thsoe games--not quite Sox level, but I have a very special spot in my heart for the Wild. The Stars game had a great atmosphere since they used to be the Northstars, lots of people where wearing Northstars jerseys. But yeah, it's crazy. I've seen the Govenor at the games (he sat a few seats down from me a couple times) and rumor has it Norm Coleman goes when he's around. But, yeah, Wild games are definitely an experience. Go if only for the song... MINNESOTA WILD ANTHEM We were raised With the stick And a pair of blades On the ice we cut our teeth We took our knocks In the penalty box Our mother was the referee This sport was here Before we came It will be here when we're gone The game's in our blood And our blood's in the game Lay us down under A frozen pond We will fight to the end We will stand and defend Our flag flying high and free We were born the child Of the strong and wild In the state the state Of hockey A big blue line runs around our state A line that can't be crossed The day they try to take this game Is the day the gloves come off We will fight to the end We will stand and defend Our flag flying high and free We were born the child Of the strong and wild In the state the state Of hockey.

Besides the Sox who is your favorite MLB team
Yeah it would have been my dream WS: Expos-Sox with the Sox winning in 7... Man, what could have been.
