  1. QUOTE(knightni @ May 10, 2006 -> 01:59 PM) However, make sure that you burn your clothes, gargle mouthwash, plunger your mouth and cry in the shower afterwards. Knightni about what to do after impersonating a Cubs fan.
  2. Yet yesterday they had the largest paid attendence since 1978 (according to the Trib). Go figure.

QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ May 27, 2006 -> 08:30 PM) I think the real goal is not so much peace but replacing the current assholes with OUR assholes. Which has worked so well in the past.
  4. Happy Happy Birthday Flaxx!

QUOTE(IggyD @ May 26, 2006 -> 04:26 PM) Here ya go...how he and Tony pre-planned this WAR. I think it is your responsiblity to research these things as an American. However, too many rely on the MSM...which all they pump out of that tube is entertainment and not many facts. I am so sick of that Duke thing...give me substance. Downing Street Documents I know about those. I was not the one, however, making arguments without facts and references to support my argument, and that was what I was commenting on about your post.

  7. Woohoo! Today is turning out awesome. And Queen, I'll keep my fingers crossed for Brian to get the job.
  8. QUOTE(Cuck the Fubs @ May 26, 2006 -> 01:25 PM) That's if he wins. If he loses, he has to serve right away and it can't be retroactive to the last game played. My question is how would you feel if the roles here were reversed? Barrett slams AJ, AJ punches Barrett? I would be pissed at AJ for doing something that merited a 10 game suspension in the middle of a tight divisional race.

    What???

I'm as liberal as the next, but enough. If you're going to make these kind of claims you really need to factually back them up and make a more cogent argument, otherwise you really aren't helping or adding anything constructive to the dialogue.
  10. QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ May 26, 2006 -> 08:27 AM) Wow, you guys just missed having the coolest birthday day of all time by JUST ONE DAY! But a mighty fine birthday to you all just the same! Hey, they can't help it if they were born a day too late.
  11. Happy happy happy birthday you three!!!
  12. Taylor's biggest fan? Web Exclusive| Nation Taylor Hicks' Biggest Fan? Condi Rice was among the millions who watched the American Idol finale — and her man won By ELAINE SHANNON/WASHINGTON SUBSCRIBE TO TIMEPRINTE-MAILMORE BY AUTHOR Posted Thursday, May. 25, 2006 Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice took time out from matters of war and peace to catch this week's finale of American Idol. Unlike many adults who claim they watch the show only because their kids commandeer the TV, Condi is an unabashed fan. Rice was rooting for fellow Birmingham native Taylor Hicks and will soon send him a congratulatory letter, says a State Department official. The Alabama connection helps explain why she has long been glued to the show: last year's runner-up Bo Bice is also a 'Bama boy, as was the winner of the second Idol competition, Ruben Studdard. But Condi is also part of nationwide Idolmania, as Tuesday night's competition drew some 32 million viewers — the biggest audience of the show's five seasons. According to the State Department official, Idol isn't the only junk food on Condi's TV diet. She also watches Law & Order and was a fan of The Bernie Mac Show before its cancellation. But while there are no plans at the moment for a Condi-Taylor duet, Idol fans cast a total of 63.4 million votes Tuesday night — which host Ryan Seacrest pointed out was "more than any President in the history of our country has ever received." And since 35% of American Idol fans believe the votes cast in the singing competition count as much or more than in a Presidential election, maybe those itching for Condi to run in '08 will try to get her a guest appearance on the show.
  13. QUOTE(Mplssoxfan @ May 25, 2006 -> 11:52 PM) How did you ever survive your undergrad days in the land of passive-agressiveness? I don't know. But I miss it. Oh, land of 10,000 lakes and passive-aggressive scandanavians I miss thee.
  14. I expect to see exponential improvment in you're grammar. (heehee) Congrats! And seeing all the cool stuff you did without a college degree (this website), you're going to be a certified world beater with one.
  15. Is it better to be passive aggressive or aggressive? I'm going to go with aggressive. I *hate* passive aggressive people.

QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ May 23, 2006 -> 10:35 PM) That sounds good. I got a 25 nd my GPA is 3.7 on a 4 pt scale. Last I've heard, a senior at my school got a full-paid scholarship with a 21/3.9 GPA. I'd say my chances are ok. Now that I got my score, I'll be less tentative and maybe broaden my choice. I plan on applying to at least 4 schools. Are you a first generation college student in your family? Sometimes that can add money to the scholarship pot (and help you get in).
  20. I'm a Mazda RX-8 You're sporty, yet practical, and you have a style of your own. You like to have fun, and you like to bring friends along for the ride, but when it comes time for everyday chores, you're willing to do your part.

  22. The new Dixie Chicks album is really good. A lot more mature than Fly and Wide Open Spaces and Home (I think that was their third one). It's a lot less blue grassy than the previous ones, but still distinctly Chicks.
  23. QUOTE(Rex Hudler @ May 23, 2006 -> 08:56 PM) I am a big Taylor fan, but is anyone else sick of hearing him yell Soul Patrol 10x after he sings? Once, maybe? But this is a little overkill. And speaking of too tight, how about Kat's last dress?? I don't think that was flattering at all for her. Yeah, Kat's dress made her look much more pear shaped than she probably is. . .
  24. Ouch, I thought Kat's last song was awful. If I have to hear that song all summer I will stab my ears out.
  25. Taylor, your pants are too tight. But I've enjoyed him far more than McPhee so far.
