QUOTE(JimH @ May 31, 2005 -> 09:20 PM) Ever since we started making fun of the Angry Politte picture, he's been lights out. LOL that picture is great.

QUOTE(Dam8610 @ May 31, 2005 -> 09:13 PM) Cliff Politte just finished off another solid outing in which he went 1 2/3 without allowing a baserunner. I say he should be given the 8th inning when the Sox are trying to hold a lead and get the ball to Dustin to shut the door. He's got microscopic batting averages allowed whether he's facing lefties or righties and Hermanson is the only pitcher on the team with a lower ERA. I think Politte in the 8th followed by Hermanson in the 9th would = many White Sox winners. If they keep it up and the sox have a one two punch like that we could be deadly. Just think, how good have the Twins been since having Romero, Guardado and Rincon, Nathan. We are in lots of one run games and to go into the 8th knowing they can shut the door for the win most of the time would be unbelievable.

QUOTE(sox-r-us @ May 31, 2005 -> 09:12 PM) If Dye heats up, this team can really roll off a 6-7 game winning streak again If we can get two more such streaks, the division will be won. Hopefully Frank comes back tomorrow, and Everett sits. Not exactly because we do play the Twins a lot in the last month and they are always the hottest team after the break but if we can hold a 5 game lead into the AS break we have a great chance. -

If the sox pull this one out I think everyone will ease up big time, I am still worried about Garcia though. :headshake -

QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ May 31, 2005 -> 08:33 PM) Cotts was pitching well, I think he should've been kept in. I'm not blaming Marte (even though I thought he had pitched more recently). I don't think Ozzie should've changed pitchers when the current pitcher was rolling. Ozzie's moves at this point are being questioned left and right, he deserves it but if he would have left Cotts in and got smashed then people would be crying about how he left him in there so long. -

What was said about this teams success about their strong bullpen has become very unbelieveable, we only have a few reliable guys down there and since we do play lots of one run games, were f***ed unless we get some help fast. Is Garcias injury serious or what, we can't afford to be anymore hurt again. -

So how many times has he been cs? Even though he was safe he needs to think twice about stealing on some of these catchers... -

Garcia at 84 pitches, hopefully the sox can hold on and take this win and try for the sweep tomorrow, I am not worried about that though. -

QUOTE(Tadahito15 @ May 31, 2005 -> 07:12 PM) Twins just had runners on 1st and 2nd with no outs, but failed to score. Yay The Twins like the sox have had some pretty bad hitting this season as I remember when we played them they kept on getting the bases loaded in multiple games but contstantly failing to score. If the pitching wasn't so dominant at times for both teams they would be horrible. -

QUOTE(Soxnbears01 @ May 31, 2005 -> 07:10 PM) nah. freddy isn't "miserable" at home, he's just not as good. he's still very capable of getting a W, especially against this team. This team isn't exactly a cup of tea. Garcia has dissapointed me so much since we acquired him. -

QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ May 31, 2005 -> 06:50 PM) Another SB. Pierzynski has no shot at all. Our pitchers have been so bad at keeping runners honest I feel bad for Pierzynski, it makes him look like he is just horrible. -

QUOTE(sox-r-us @ May 31, 2005 -> 06:40 PM) Crede Ks :urgh I feel sorry for him, he seems like a real good guy but his swing is so damn long. I will be very mad if Lackey puts it in cruise control after that 1st inning.
