  1. Cavs in 6. Bulls play them really close however. The key to the series IMO is Deng. Rose is gonna get his. Noah is gonna do his thing. But if Deng can limit LeBron to 30 points, I think we make it a terrific series. You just can't let LeBron go off for 45 points or something crazy.
  2. I am becoming a real big Donny Lucy fan. I think he is a lot better than Castro. Notwithstanding Freddy's crap today, I really like the way he calls a game. He seems to have a great approach at the plate.
  3. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Apr 15, 2010 -> 08:38 PM) i thought a slider was supposed to "slide" Reminds me of the line from Little Big League, "I don't like your curveball. In fact, I hate your curveball. You know why? Cause the damn thing don't curve."
  4. QUOTE (knightni @ Apr 15, 2010 -> 08:27 PM) How about stealing a base, Pierre? Not down four. Can't run into an out with so few left.
  5. I think the Sox bullpen might set the league record for Ks by a pen. Seriously, we are ridiculous there.
  6. Recap of the Cavs v. Bulls this year: Game One = win 86-85 @ Cleveland (and that with a hobbled D-Rose, Cavs fully healthy) Game Two = loss 101-87 @ Cleveland (w/out Hinrich/Tyrus Thomas, Cavs fully healthy) Game Three = Loss 92-85 @ Chicago (No Rose, no Shaq) Game Four = Win 109-108 @ Chicago (No Shaq/Lebron, Bulls at full health) Based on this, you could argue had both teams been fully healthy, they still would have split the season series. Bulls likely would have lost the last game against Cleveland when the Cavs rested Lebron, but the Bulls probably would haev won the third game between the teams when the Bulls didn't have Rose. This series will be a lot closer than people think, kinda like last year. I see the Bulls taking them to six while playing tight ball games all the way through. There is no doubt that they will come hard every night, especially with Noah's enegry/vocal leadership and Rose's silent leadership of just taking over games.
  7. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Apr 14, 2010 -> 12:24 PM) Same as the Bulls beating the Cavs. I do not understand. All the Bulls making the playoffs does is enable management to pocket more cash after more sellouts for a s*** team. I'll stay out of this thread now. I would much rather make the playoffs that the take the 1.7% chance or whatever it is that we land in the top 3 of the lottery. It's good for the team to get more playoff experience before what hopefully is a long run next year in them, looks better for free agents and gives the team a better mindset going into next year even if they get swept. And who knows, if the Bulls play the Cavs tough and the crowds in Chicago are nuts, maybe it piques James' interest a bit more. As far as I am concerned VDN is gone no matter what, so that shouldn't be an issue of playoffs vs. non-playoffs. The only good that comes from missing the playoffs is 1.7% and we are not going to see lighting strike twice.
  8. Luckily tonight will be all Bulls, no Sox for me. Hopefully by not watching they win.
  9. Can we get Toronto's closer again? He sucks.
  10. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Apr 13, 2010 -> 08:06 PM) Jayson Nix sighting. He went opposite field only because he swung so badly he nubbed it off the end of the bat.
  11. QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Apr 13, 2010 -> 08:04 PM) Derrick Rose just made one of the best dunks of the year. Y'all missed out. I saw it. It was great, but it was not contested, so I wouldn't put it in the best of category.
  12. Perfect irony that it's Rios. Now let's get two more.
  13. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Apr 13, 2010 -> 07:58 PM) And it's certainly not going to make KW jump up and say, "AHA! I've seen the light! We need to upgrade the offense now." Realistically, there is no way we can upgrade this team now. San Diego isn't trading Gonzalez yet nor is any other team trading top players yet. We have no one in AAA who can come in and make an impact, maybe Flowers but he isn't going to play over AJ or disrupt Ozzie's DH combo. We're gonna be stuck with a s***ty offense all year most likely.
  14. Alexei Ramirez needs to be benched so he can get his head out of his ass. Although that would put Vizquel as the starter which won't be better.
  15. I am hoping for a hit, being no-hit is terribly embarrassing. I think KW will get the message even with a one hitter.
  16. I hate Jannero Pargo (oops wrong forum).
  17. Well two runs with the at-bats we've been having likely mean this game is over. Hoping I am wrong.
  18. Back to .500 tonight! Let's hope the middle of the lineup produces tonigth with everyone else, though Romero is a solid pitcher. He's a guy you really just gotta concentrate on taking to the opposite field and not try to hit a homerun of off every time. Also surprised no Nix yet, he hits lefties pretty well (power department at least), would much rather have him playing than Omar, but hopefully I will be proven wrong.
  19. Interesting article, but I am still not sure that Teahen was more valuable/heroic than Jones was.
  20. QUOTE (JPN366 @ Apr 12, 2010 -> 11:10 PM) There was a D-Backs scout watching our hitters tonight. Is something up??? Probably nothing more than customary scouting of teams' minor leagues.
  21. Whew. But seriously Bobby needs to be on a very short leash.
  22. Please just K him here Bobby. That big hook would be nice right now.
  23. Well that was quick. Let's get a run or two please.
  24. Do I dare watch the bottom of the 9th? I just know there is gonna be something bad to happen...
  25. 6:15 CT: Charlotte vs. Norfolk Hudson (0-0, -.--) vs. Erbe (0-0, -.--) 7:05 CT: Carolina vs. Birmingham Smit (0-0, -.--) vs. Lowe (0-0, -.--) Winston-Salem Off 6:05 CT: Lexington vs. Kannapolis TBA vs. Collop, J (-, -.--) Looking forward to Hudson though tonight.
