QUOTE(Vance Law @ Aug 21, 2007 -> 05:47 PM) Not sure where you're getting those numbers from. When I look at ESPN, he's batting an awesome .300/.463/.591/1.054 against righties. Basically twice as many at bats against righties as lefties. dunno what you are looking at, but against righties he is batting .236/.348/.399/.747 in 313 at bats. Against lefties he is batting .330/.436/.637/1.073 in 91 at bats.

I hate how Poreda is still starting in rookie ball. He needs to be in low ball right now. Gio/Egbert need to be in AAA and other moves could be made too. What is the Sox's deal with so little player movement?

QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Aug 13, 2007 -> 02:20 PM) You'll just have to trust me on this one. I hope your right, you know when he may committ? Also, there has been talk about Darius Miller being an Illini lean and talk that he wants to committ to UI, but his dad wants him to wait. This was from a Kentucky forum. If Weber could get those two, it would be a great class, but still you gotta wonder why he can't get the instate players.

College Move In...
All the journalism hate is completely understandable, but its a nice degree to have if you want to go to grad school because good writing is essential for every single job. That is my theory, I came into school with the mindset that I wanted to be a sports radio host (still could happen) but its not what I want now. I switched from Broadcast Journalism/Spanish major to Newspaper Journalism/Spanish witht the intent on getting an MBA or law degree. As for move in, I go Thursday the 16th and have mixed emotion. For me I loved Freshman year and my friends there, but I love home as well, so its always hard to leave, especially since all last week I was gone. But no matter, being on your own and having tons of free time to do whatever you want is always fun.

Like Kalapse, I will go and guess the prospect. I say it will be A ball reliever John Madden, who has okay numbers but a strong arm.

Dye Trade Thread
If the deal is Dye for Delcarmen, then just dont do it. The two draft picks are more valuable in my opinion, but the way we draft, we prolly would just screw up the picks. so i don't know any more.

Dye Trade Thread
QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Jul 31, 2007 -> 11:05 AM) The Sox can still take their time with Contreras. They can pass Contreras easily through waivers, so getting a Conde deal done by 3:00 today isn't a huge deal. The Dye deal, OTOH -- I'm really hoping for Delcarmen and WMP at this point. I think the Sox would do very well to grab an OFer who has a crapload of potential -- the nice thing about the White Sox' situation is that they could guarantee WMP everyday at-bats, something he's never consistently had -- as well as a nice second or third righty out of the bullpen. That is what was reported on the ESPN radio update (the national one, not local) according to the Suntimes. that would be a sweet deal.
