4/8 Games
Long impressive so far thru three innings, 1 run and 3 k's. Maybe his stuff is back cause when he is on, he has a deadly two pitch combination: mid-to high-90's fastball and a hard 12-6 curve.

QUOTE(SnB @ Apr 8, 2007 -> 11:17 AM) can we not have "predicted" lineups in the first post of a gamethread? That kinda gets confusing.....and annoying. Took em out, I can see how it would confusing.

QUOTE(Capn12 @ Apr 8, 2007 -> 10:40 AM) Some numbers for our lefties against Johan... Player AB H R 2B HR RBI BB K AVG OBP Thome 21 4 -- 0 3 4 1 7 .190 .261 Erstad 29 8 -- 1 0 3 0 1 .276 .276 Pods 9 1 -- 0 0 0 1 5 .111 .200 AJ 11 1 -- 0 0 0 0 4 .091 .091 Just say no to Pods today, hell Thome too if we were smart, but that won't happen. Hell, Dye has had about the most success against Johan besides Erstad, with a .227 BA in 44 ABs. Sad when .227 is considered good for us against a pitcher. Anderson was doing well in ST going the other way, so he would have to best approach against Johan. And those numbers back up the fact that Thome, AJ and Pods cannot hit Santana. Let Anderson play, let Pablo play and let Molina play. Molina especially since Johan has never seen him and maybe Molina just gets one hit, more importantly with Danks on the mound and Molina behind the plate, we can control the Twins running game, so offensive becomes that much harder for them.

Here's to Danks he is gonna need to pitch lights out to win this ball game. In this cold, we are not going to be scoring many runs, if any, against Johan. So hopefully, Ozzie gets Ozuna, Anderson and Molina n the lineup for Pods, Thome and AJ. Yeah, Thome. Stack the righties in there. No offense to Pods, but he cant hit Johan, Thome can't as well and well AJ needs an off-day, so he can play every game in Oakland. Looks like a s*** lineup, but u need the righties in there.

okay, Sisco did his thing, If there is a lefty up leave him in, but get Aarsma in there if its a righty.

4/7 - Egbert with 12 K thru 6
Broadway and Egbert are two guys that need to pitch well for us. Broadway is trade bait b/c we have a better version of him in McCulloch and Egbert could really take off this year as he has been old for his league every year. He will be 24 in May, so if he could get to AAA by mid-season (although this would take an injury or trade in AAA) he could become pretty valuable.

QUOTE(BearSox @ Apr 6, 2007 -> 11:28 PM) In place of who...? Could need a 7th bullpen arm down the stretch, or Sisco just blows and Dewon's slider makes him effective against lefties. Trust me if puts up the numbers, he will be there. Oz and KW have said our pitchers will have short leaches. Also, can't count out the possibility of a MacDougal injury with his history. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Apr 6, 2007 -> 11:32 PM) Kanekoa is my man. Best slider in the ogranization according to BA (well really Phil Rogers) and when you annoint someone that honor with Dewon Day's in the organization, that's something. BTW, Day has a plus-plus slider according to scouts, which translates to a 70 rating on the scale, which means its an all-star level pitch. 80 is the best, but those are reserved for the special like Mo's cutter or RJs slider (when in prime.)

My bold prediction: Dewon Day is on the White Sox major leaguer roster before August.

Since I keep goin, I will continue the early posting of the gamethread. Lets rough up Silva like usual and Vaz can you please make it to the 7th. I feel like although it is only one start it, this one will really determine his season. The division rivals and if he can shut them down, I think his confidence will carry on for awhile and we can finally see that dominance that he had with the 'Spos.

4/5 Games
Let's see what Floyd can do in AAA. Hopefully, he gets his head back on track and his stuff is good. Cause by the way our bullpen looks, we might need some reinforcements sooner than later.

Also, to answer the question of how long I was waiting to post this gamethread. I am a bored college student with nothing to do at near midnight, so what should I do? Of course, get the gamethread ready to post at the very earliest possible.

Can we please get into the win column. The lineup today should be: LF - Erstad 2b - Iguchi DH - Thome 1B - Konerko RF - Dye 3B - Crede C - AJ SS - Uribe CF - Anderson But somehow Ozzie will manager to get Pods and Molina out there. Can any one argue that this is not our best lineup. Granted Ozuna is pretty solid as a hitter, I just can't trust him in the field. Anyways, lets hope Mark is on his mark after that solid performace in Atlanata. We need you Buehrle.

Lets not panic after two games. Things will look better soon, hopefully.
