True, I try not to get too worked up about what the media says, because I know we're considered "The Second City's Second Team;" however, it's nice to get some praise every now and then.

I understand where you're coming from with this. A mediocre year for Thomas, for example 1999, was not great by Thomas' standards; however, many batters would have gladly taken his numbers that season. It's kind of the same ordeal Tiger Woods goes through; he's expected to win tourney after tourney. So if he doesn't win one in two weeks he's in a slump.

I just saw this on ESPN's game notes...."Getaway day" has been great for the White Sox: They are 12-2 in the final game of series' this season.

Agreed. I really liked Kip, and he's really become a great pitcher for a mediocre ballclub. I would love to see him don a Chisox uni again.

I didn't see a majority of the game, but we had it on in the background at my graduation party. I saw the score at one point where it was 6-3 Twins, and I came back in the house to see us up 11-6. That was GREAT; way to close out the series Sox!

Oh not at all. Our coach is military on us; we run 8 tours after every game, regardless of the result (foul pole to foul pole, running along the warning track)...

Mine's doing terrible, hence I haven't mentioned it much...we're 4-17 going into the final 4 regular season games of the season; it's still fun as hell though.

Oh I know, I've been here; seen all the same threads. It's going to happen; I'm not sure why but some people believe we should go 162-0 and win the World Series every year. They forget this is the real world, and even the Yankees lose at least 60 games a season.

This reminds me of something about hotels. The most germ-infested thing in hotel rooms and causes the most illness is the TV remote. Because it's almost the first thing everyone grabs, and the maids never think of cleaning that.
