  1. What does that have to do with him doing it for the money? I think he’s clearly getting special treatment because he’s been with the Sox for so long. When you’re his age and have been as loyal to a team as you have been, you tend to get some special privileges. He’s pushing 80. He’s made generational wealth. I don’t think he even has any kids? I don’t think he really cares about the money.
  2. I don’t think Steve hates his partners as much as people online seem to think he does. Sure sometimes it seems like he might be slightly annoyed. I don’t think he overtly dislikes John, Jason, or even Hawk. Otherwise he wouldn’t have stuck around for 2 decades.
  3. I wish the cubs and sox were in the same division. Would make these games so much more meaningful, fun and exciting. Even moreso than they already are. And there would be more of them.
  4. I debated on doing this exact thing at the beginning of the season. Kicking myself for not doing it now haha
  5. Was at the game yesterday. Dude behind me was wearing a cubs jersey but rooting for the sox. I asked him if he lost a bet. He said “yeah that’s it” then proceeded to scream “I LOST A BET” the rest of the game. It was phenomenal.
  6. I’m not saying they should have gutted the farm system. Development year or not, having barely half a starting rotation is just extremely poor planning.
  7. Cubs did their homework. “Just keep throwing splitters”.
  8. That’ll happen when your main catcher who’s supposed to be an anchor in the lineup and in the field is hurt for the majority of the season, and when the backup you thought was going to be good isn’t even on the roster when the main guy is hurt after bringing in two other catchers.
  9. They need to figure this pitching out if they are serious about winning in the postseason. This is negligence and unsustainable.
  10. They need to go full bore with just getting all the pitch calls correct. Enough of the human element bullshit
  11. It’s so stupid how there is even challenges for balls and strikes. Just use the damn k zone on the tv to get every call right. It’s the same zone they use with challenges anyway. If we have the ability to get every pitch call correct why are we not taking advantage of it.
  12. I would prefer no rainout Tuesday thank you very much as I will be traveling from out of state to see the game.
  13. As someone who missed the game, I would love to hear more context or info about the dominos conversation
  14. Oh my God. We are actually having legit conversations in August about playoff seeding.
  15. Sam is the unsung hero of this entire season. He may not do “sexy” things like Mune or Vargas or Colson or even Chase, but he’s a huge reason why we’ve been competitive this season.
  16. I, for one, think it’s been a complete s%*# show. Not that my opinion matters.
  17. Not able to watch the games this weekend but am scoreboard watching and I am so happy. My tigers fan friends are sad. Life is good. Add insult to injury tomorrow. Start running away with this division. Go into the crosstown series on a high and kick the cubs in the nuts. Show them who’s town this is.
  18. Well…… f*** that newsletter 🤣
