  7. anyone seen the previews for this???? Literature's hero's team up to fight evil.......seems pretty silly to me. Dorian Gray from the self titled book - Oscar Wilde Tom Sawyer from the self titled book - Mark Twain Dr. Hyde.......etc All these characters from these great books!!!! in a movie..... pretty stuuuuupid.
  8. I think this Joe Borchard is going to be a close resemblence when he puts it all together. Maybe not....but It seems that way to me.
  9. Yeah that didnt make awhole lot of sense to me either... I cant believe that guy hit 4 Slams in one season.... thats some heavy damage in 4 atbats. He was an offensive monster!! It was/is a shame he's done. He played through so much pain though. He's definitely better off now. He was in danger of not being able to walk right. His aunt suffers from it to. She's had 3 operations, still in so much pain. Wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. You don't EVER want to have problems with your legs, knees, hips, etc.. Two Questions For ya Steff.... 1. Where is ALbert Living now... 2. When was the last time u saw/talked to him.
  10. If I recall corrrectly, the Sox thought they had a deal done for Ortiz. I can't remember what held it up. If it was just that Atlanta came in and made a stronger offer or if it was something else. It was reported that the deal was as good as done until the braves offered Damian Moss..... so Gammons was right on that one... just things changed real quick.
  11. If Robbie goes to the Royals......i'd be shocked...thats alot of payroll to add to KC's financially strapped situation.
  12. Yeah that didnt make awhole lot of sense to me either... I cant believe that guy hit 4 Slams in one season.... thats some heavy damage in 4 atbats.
  13. Was it his hip? Yep. And, he's done, by the way. Thats a shame...I know he wasn't very well liked because he was pretty cold to the fans and the chicago media.... but the guy was a monster at the plate. Hope his time away from the game is good. Golfin all day and gamblin all night doesnt seem like a bad way to live though!
  14. Were talking alot about caballo.....so i thought "hey" who were some other great left fielders in Whitesox history......Albert Belle is one! But whats he been up to..... Is his knee getting better? Is he Done Done...? I dunno just bored and wonderin. Best season by a ChiSox Left fielder in 1998 .328avg 49HR 152RBI....ouch

    To all

    Im in love
  16. I think 2nd base is the spot we need to strengthen now. Harris, although speedy and talented is not hitting and shows no sign of being a hitter yet. I don't see Jimenez as the answer either and am losing faith and patience with him. I see him as a super sub just like Graffy is used. Alomar might be a great fellow, but is on the downside of his career so if we did go after him we shouldn't give up any young talent. I think Roberto is batting about .260 with 2 homers. Heck, D'Lo is batting better than that powerwise anyway. I like Miles and the reports we get on him. He is aggressive and brings spark to a line up. As far as walks taken are concerned think about Ozzie Guillen. Couple things..... As far as walks are concerned, if a guy hits.320, who the hell cares. If he hits .270 then that is a big difference. If Miles is to get the chance, due to his lack of walks, he will have to hit and hit well. .270 won't cut it. Not saying Alomar is the answer and I have never been a huge fan of his, but getting him out of that hellhole called New York and the Mets might do him some good. Reuniting him with his brother can't hurt either. But what you do get with Alomar is defense as well. He has the ability to not only help at 2B but to make other guys better. I don't think he would be a bad addition, but I am not sure he is the right one, when you take money into account as well as other factors. Is Robbie allowed to veto any trades......because in that case the Mets may be more eager to deal him here because of Sandy and the family connection.
  17. Lets ease the tension with a little humor why dont we?
