I think when they delt Dessens....... the dealt their chance of making that deal. Dessens could have been the corner stone to their packege.

ADD PAUL WILSON!!!!! Jesus Christ...I don't know how to get that point across. Wilson is a good pitcher who could put up a good record with a good team behind him. I'd take him over all of the above. Helling will put up a 5.00 ERA, Finley's like 40 and probably won't come here because of the Whitesnake thing, Valdes is decent(but I'd rather have Wilson over him), Rogers will probably make $5-$6 million and Robert Person could be the next Todd Ritchie. If you want an inning-eater, get Suppan. If you want a good pitcher who will cost a bit more(probably $3 mill....and he's better than the Cubs $3 million man, Shawn Estes), than get Wilson. He is a pretty good pitcher when healthy....I believe he was drafted in the first round by the Mets several years back....you don't just waste your first round pick on nothing(unless you're the Sox and you draft Mark Johnson or Matt Ginter, though Ginter may become a decent pitcher over time, or you're the Twins and you draft Todd Ritchie). Paul Wilson, IMO, is the best option out there right now that will cost $3 mill or less. He's the kind of guy that we'll get if we don't get Colon. Wilson really turned it on late in the year........ I don't think he's the "answer" but if we can't get that guy....... he's better than alot thats out there.

Im kinda depressed he isn't coming to Chicago....... I read that he's doing a bunch of movies, so that might be why his schedule is kinda lite. looks like someone's gonna have to come out to california... I might consider it......... maybe during spring break. Dane Cook does rule.

Amen to that. I've come to the same conclusion FRF...... were not going to win with this regime of penny pinching and club-house spying........ just not gonna happen. On that note, I think we should all just enjoy Sox Baseball and put all the anxiety of actually "winning" on teams who actually have some to lose. For Example The Yankees, a team that will be a total dissapointment if the do not win the WS. Instead of "WhiteSox Baseball, these kids can play" it should be "WhitesSox Baseball, we're not gonna pay"

This is way after you asked the question, but I had this same problem with people who used to live across the street from me who played thug rap blasting all day long and I could hear it in my house even with the tv on. (And I love rap, but as you say, they were playing the s*** of the s***.) I put my speakers in my windows and on my porch and played, full blast, opera (helps that I love opera and have some cds) every time they played their thug rap. They came outside and looked a me, I looked at them, they said, "oh, maybe we are playing our music too loud" And the problem was solved forever. That's because they weren't real thugs. I am now a Dane Cook fanatic Cali....... and I owe it all to you. Over the holidays I was home alot because Im going through a weird time, and I downloaded alot of Dane's stuff.
