  1. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Jul 31, 2017 -> 10:41 PM) No s***. I said I was more nervous about a fracture at the time in the GT. Sorry man, late night reading comprehension issues. Glad you were chill about it
  2. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Jul 31, 2017 -> 10:31 PM) Schwarber's knee twisted though in his collision with Fowler. I remember as I watched that game. Moncada's knee didn't look nearly as serious. But you never know. I'd be shocked though if something was torn. I was more nervous about a fracture. X rays are already negative. They said during the game
  3. QUOTE (steveno89 @ Jul 13, 2017 -> 12:01 PM) Sox were the only team out there actively selling off premium pieces when many teams should have been more proactive. Hahn waited, and ended up getting a major return. Sale/Eaton/Quintana netted the Sox: Moncada Kopech Basabe Diaz Giolito Lopez Dunning Jimenez Cease Rose Flete Combine that with signing Luis Robert, and drafting Burger/Sheets WOW Add to that list, not that it's direct from any player, a likely top 5 draft pick next year.
  4. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Jul 13, 2017 -> 11:23 AM) Actually it does since he was recently ranked #45. ah, didn't see that, thanks for the update.
  5. QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ Jul 13, 2017 -> 11:07 AM) and that doesn't include Hansen who is my favorite guy Fullmer's failures seem irrelevant now It also doesn't include L. Robert
  6. When I was a kid it seemed Melido Perez started almost every game I went to, and those often didn't go well, but it did seem I always saw Pasqua hit a homer.
  7. I usually go to Brewer's opening day (something like 10 of the last 12 years) with a group of friends from WI, but my father passed away in November and he use to take my sister and I out of school for Sox opening day, so had to go to the Sox opener this year! I was very happy when I saw they were playing in Milwaukee as I'm going to Saturday's game with some friends. Staying at the casino and got a real decent rate for a Saturday night.
  8. QUOTE (steveno89 @ Feb 27, 2017 -> 09:55 AM) I highly doubt that Quintana gets traded until closer to the deadline, unless a team overwhelms us with an offer with the teams who have the value to get Q, this is obviously a narrow possibility, but if a contender has an injury in ST to a top of the rotation arm.
  9. QUOTE (Brian @ Jan 26, 2017 -> 04:35 PM) Plagiarism? In My thread?? Not saying he did or didn't, just struck me odd it's the same matches in the same order as the Observer.
  10. QUOTE (iWin4Ron @ Jan 26, 2017 -> 03:43 PM) I could see them having finn balor win the rumble as well, but that is slightly unexpected. If they had built it up a little bit better they really could have had an amazing WM moment with Sami going over Owens for his first title victory. Would be a big time face win. Unfortunately, they haven't really developed it going into the rumble as a storyline. Also, they'll likely have Owens lose to Reigns and we've seen Zayn vs. Owens now like 3-4 times. Ah well. I'm realllllly curious to see how they fit everyone into great matches at WM. We already have a WM card looking like: Goldberg vs. Brock Lesnar Undertaker vs. Roman Reigns Triple H vs. Seth Rollins Chris Jericho vs. Kevin Owens Bray Waytt vs. Randy Orton Big Show vs. Shaquille O'Neal Charlotte vs. Bayley vs. Sasha Banks vs. Nia Jax That leaves out potentially Ambrose, Miz, Balor, Cena, Samoa Joe, AJ Styles, Shane McMahon, SD Live Womans Title, Tag Titles on both brands. Same list, in order, Meltzer had in Observer today.... Add Braun to the list of someone that needs matches.
  11. QUOTE (Brian @ Jan 26, 2017 -> 04:17 PM) It'd be funny if Omega was in the Rumble and got no reaction. Well, will have to be 2018 for that to happen, he's announced he's staying in NJPW "at least for one year" (Credit Wrestling Observer Radio)
  12. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jan 26, 2017 -> 03:53 PM) In 1 hour, Kenny Omega set to "announce his future", whatever that means. Unless his NJPW contract ran out earlier than the reported 1/31, there's really only 1 option of what his future can be if he's announcing it today.
  13. QUOTE (Brian @ Jan 25, 2017 -> 01:22 PM) I'm refusing to believe they will waste Styles at Mania on Shane, so it's probably happening. Ugh According to Meltzer and Alvarez, not currently the plan, but the plan is for Shane to wrestle at WM.
  14. QUOTE (Brian @ Dec 21, 2016 -> 04:54 PM) I can barely sit through Raw at home. They aren't hyping up next week as much as SD is. Agreed, but my friend's wife has never been to a wrestling even and she likes Enzo, so we figured we'd go and just have fun with it.
  15. QUOTE (Brian @ Dec 21, 2016 -> 03:12 PM) Yeah. I wish I could go to that but I'd be worn out at work the next day. We'll see. I'm going to both Raw and Smackdown, I know I'll be burnt out but two different groups of friends wanted to go the separate nights, so what the heck.
  16. Great choices already on here, a couple things outside WWE/NXT that came to mind (although the ones listed I could for sure agree with ): Superstar: Kenny Omega, he's been so great in NJPW (also, as far as consistent work-rate goes, Mascara Dorada (Grand Metallik) has killed it in CMLL and his spots in cWc) Tag Match: Either Ladder Wars 6 in ROH (this might actually be flat out match of the year with no qualifications) or Young Bucks and Adam Cole vs. Ricochet, Osprey and Matt Sydal and BOLA Night 2 Breakout: I agree with Alexa, she's so awesome!
  17. QUOTE (Brian @ Nov 1, 2016 -> 09:31 AM) Can't argue with the last line. Although I blame a bad match on Nia. She couldn't even cover her right at the end. If she wasn't The Rock's cousin, she would be nowhere on TV or in the company. Oh yeah, totally this and it's so apparent that's the reason.
  18. QUOTE (Brian @ Nov 1, 2016 -> 06:51 AM) People need to be patient with Sami and Bayley. I feel fans are behind them and will have their time. Especially Bayley. No reason to hot shot them. Nia just looks reckless in there. I thought she killed Bayley with that Samoan Drop. Her leg drops and splashes look like trash. Hot shotting would be giving her the title with little to no build as a last minute decision. Not what I'm talking about at all. They are trying to book both of them like they "booked" Daniel Bryan (stumbled onto, actually, as the fans wouldn't let them bury the dude and they finally relented) but I don't see that working, DB was unique in many ways. Bayley should not be in arm wrestling segments with Dana Brooke getting "boring" chants or having bad matches with Nia Jax
  19. QUOTE (Brian @ Oct 31, 2016 -> 09:28 PM) Nia Jax is the worst And I was told zayn and Bayley were ok in their pushes...
  20. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Oct 25, 2016 -> 02:16 PM) Heyman/Lesnar segment was just awful even Heyman could not make it work. Supposedly Vince cut it short because it was such a train wreck. I have no idea why they thought fans in Minny were going to, in any significant number, boo Lesnar and/or support Goldberg.
  21. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Oct 20, 2016 -> 03:56 PM) I'm sure they've asked him as apparently they ask him all the time but he's been pretty adamant about staying retired. Things change and it is in SA so you never know but with him I doubt it. Vince hates teasing matches he can't deliver. If teasing goes on, it has legs.
  22. Welp, as if TNA can't get any more convoluted, Billy is suing Dixie and TNA. http://www.f4wonline.com/tna-news/billy-co...e-carter-222666
  23. QUOTE (The Critic @ Oct 10, 2016 -> 12:19 PM) 2nd Wellness pop for Paige. 60 days this time. She's on Twitter saying "don't get prescriptions or doctor's notes, not acceptable" and "rules apply based on your status with the company". She's obviously done with the company. I guess we've all been young and misguided, but not sure what her endgame would be. Obviously there's TNA and indys/conventions where I'm assuming she'd do OK, but she's come out and said she needs back surgery. She's much better off getting her downside while she's sidelined, especially since she's already going to miss 1/4 of her pay this year with the two suspensions.
  24. QUOTE (scs787 @ Sep 29, 2016 -> 05:59 PM) One of my all time favorites, Eddie Kingston, is finally getting a tryout. He's a guy who I think could be a top heel if used correctly. Heidi Lovelace who is almost equally awesome is also getting a tryout. Yup, excited to see Lovelace get the shot, she wrestles in a mask as Sally Stitches, in Freelance at least, and also couldn't be a nicer person.
  25. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Sep 29, 2016 -> 12:03 PM) Ibushi is back for the Dusty classic, tagging with Itami. That should be fun. That's awesome!!!!! Sound's like Ibushi wants to work a limited schedule due to his neck, so may never get him on main roster, but really cool they're giving him spots still.
