  1. Well they just changed the caption in the box to "Coming up: Phil Jackson to LA?" :sleep Who gives a s***?
  2. I'll keep you guys updated. I'm loving this recognition!
  3. QUOTE(qwerty @ Apr 25, 2005 -> 01:17 AM) Chances are if we had a higher obp we would score more runs. No chance way in hell our pitching holds up like this all year. We can't rely on winning all of these one run 2-1, 4-3 games. Don't know about you but i am already sick of uribe, pierz, rowand, and dye first pitch swinging. The more pitches a batter sees will help them in the long run. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well you can keep staring into your crystal ball as long as you want, but like Hawk says "Don't tell me what you hit, tell me when you hit." I hate the first pitch swinging s*** too, but I don't understand how that relates to OBP%. Would you rather have a groundout on the second pitch to advance the runner, or an 8 pitch AB that results in a K?
  4. Jose looked like a totally different pitcher after Cooper gave him an earful the other night. I hope he pitches the rest of the season like he did from the second inning and beyond.
  5. The Only team stat I care about it W-L. What good is a high OBP if you're not going to get the runs in? I love watching our guys go up there putting the ball in play.
  6. QUOTE(aboz56 @ Apr 24, 2005 -> 03:49 PM) How about a hit Pablo. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> PETEY!!!
  7. Time to light up this left-handed Jon Rauch. (except Rauch can't pitch)
  8. WTF Ozzie? Politte pitched close to 2 f***ing innings yesterday, and after that deep flyball from Sweeney you send him out for the 7th? I'm f***ing shocked that Guillen didn't bring in Cotts to face Stairs for the fact that it would be a lefty-lefty match-up. Terrible managing today. :headshake

  10. When was our last homer, Crede in Detroit 4 games ago?
  11. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Apr 24, 2005 -> 03:02 PM) Duque is painful to watch. I dont care if he isin't giving up many runs, he's straight UGLY to watch. That's gonna bite him in the ass when we start playing real teams. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Like the Twins? :rolly
  12. QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 24, 2005 -> 02:44 PM) Like I said before the game, I can't stand our 3rd game of the series lineup. Unbelievable amount of below average players on the field at one time is never a good thing. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I agree. This reminds me out Manuel's "hey we already won the series!" lineups.
  13. Timo bashing.How original. I agree that his play was bad, but the guys he is playing for today has been an automatic out. El Duque is throwing way too many pitches. :banghead
  14. QUOTE(knightni @ Apr 23, 2005 -> 09:33 PM) The 'pen and especially Marte save the day! Rowand comes through!! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Knightni, I told you we would go on a 6 game winning streak!!!!
  15. QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 23, 2005 -> 08:35 PM) Nice to see that the Cubs didn't keep Sisco. He sure looks to have some dynamite stuff. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Ever notice that just about ALL of Hendry good moves have been in situation where a.) Small Market team dumping salary (Lee, Ramirez) b.) Players aren't wanted on their team any more (Karros, Garciaparra) ? I can see why the Royals value Sisco so much. :fthecubs
