Sox could speed up the process of removing the seats by hiring this guy:

Free Agent Predictions
JD Drew will be signing with LA. That's one of the main reasons why they are involved with the three way trade.

seats going green
The seats look great and I also like the idea of changing the Sox logo for each row.

Despite earler "for Hudson only" statements...
He also got hurt in 2000, which is why he only pitched in 13 games in 2000.

Well how is 05 season looking
I believe KW said something along the lines that "it gives us an opportunity to add players when June and July rolls around." He didn't say he wasn't going to add players right now. You said that KW is saying he's not going to spend the money until July. That's two different scenarios. A.J made $3.5 million last season, and Cora made $1.3 million in 2004.

He didn't put it into that context. (You always f*** up quoting people out of context.) If he doesn't get Perez, he'll spend the money on a catcher (A.J,) and another second baseman (Cora.) That's my gut feeling.

You got a source on that? Or are you just making s*** up as usual?

Waive the White Flag after finishing one game out of first? :rolly I sure as hell hope KW NEVER does anything like that as long as I'm a White Sox fan.

Well how is 05 season looking
You said "but trading Lee for Podsednick was a complete failure." How so? The season hasn't even played out yet, and KW hasn't used the money on somebody...yet. If Pods has a .370 OBP plus 100+ SB, will it still be "a complete failure?"
-
Well how is 05 season looking
It was a "complete failure" despite the fact that KW has yet to spend the money he saved on the deal, and THE SEASON HASN'T EVEN STARTED YET?!?!?!

What's your source on that? I went through his game log again and came up with a figure of 3.07. The only bad outing he had at home was against the Yanks (7ER.) That is still impressive for a pitcher in a non-pitcher's park.

I can't see how anyone with the exception of an A's fan would defend Billy Boy trading away his top two pitchers (two of the best in the league) with one of them still having an option left on his deal. I could see the A's doing these moves if Hudson was making $12 million, or the A's just came off a dismal season. They finished one game out, made a blockbuster trade to get Kendall, and then they dump their two best pitchers?!?!?! What sense does that make? Was Billy Boy intimidated by Seattle's signings of Sexson and Beltre? Was he afraid of Anaheim being able to free up a ton of payroll (Glaus, Appier, Percival, Guillen) and add guys like Steve Finley to their team? I sure as hell wouldn't be happy to be an A's fan, and I don't know how anyone could defend Beane's trades after his team only finished one game out.

First off the Coliseum isn't a pitcher's park because it has a home run factor of 1.089, and that's based on stats from a team that 13th in the MLB in home runs, and a home rotation that included great pitching from Tim Hudson (Extreme groundball pitcher,) and Mark Mulder (another ground ball pitcher.) Secondly, when Mulder was healthy during the first half, his home ERA was 2.67. Is that impressive to you?

Uhhhh, because they hardly have any MLB expierence? I don't see how an A's fan (some of you) could be thrilled with Beane trading two of the best pitchers in the AL. Oh I forgot, A's fans get to look forward to Juan Cruz and Dan Haren for 2005 while the team goes from finishing 1 game out to potentially in the basement. I wish I were an A's fan right now.

Mulder to the Cards
I didn't realize all of these guys were locks to become stars for the A's for years to come. Do you honestly believe any of these guys will be equivalent to Hudson, or Mulder (and in a couple years Zito?)

Mulder to the Cards
I wonder if the A's have more of a fanbase away from Oakland.
-
Mulder to the Cards
Because we weren't going to trade a boat load of prospects for Randy Johnson. What the hell is Beane going to do with Garland and Konerko?

Based on what? Holds, ERA, Saves, blown saves, K's, WHIP?

Too bad they're not going to have any leads to protect.

How long has Beane been a GM? There's no question he has made some great trades, but he can't get his team past the first round of the playoffs. Like I said, I didn't like KW until the Colon trade. We had a s***ty manager in 2003, that KW wanted to fire bu JR wouldn't let him, and in 2004 the Sox were in first palce at the All-Star break before officially losing Frank and Maggs for the rest of the season. KW and Beane don't use the same system to put a team together.

fifth starter
:dips*** Schoeneweis got hurt after he was pitching well throughout May. Are you trying to blame KW for Scott getting hurt?

Sabermetrics is a gateway drug. It can lead to other, harder drugs like "Moneyball," and it will eventually cause the abuser to withdrawl from actually WATCHING the baseball game, to cramming a bunch of numbers together to come up with the "next best stat."

Mulder to the Cards
LMAO! I'm gald you're not the GM. I'm sure if KW was reading this right now he would be saying "and this jackass rips on me on a daily basis?" :headshake

Mulder to the Cards
:headshake :dips*** I'd bet you'd be the first to complain about giving up B-Mac and Sweeney talking about how KW gave away our future for an injured pitcher with declining numbers. How the f*** do you know if Beane wanted to trade either of these guys to an AL team? :headshake
