I've been quiet for awhile, and HOPEFULLY this will be my last posting on this issue. My first point is this...I resent Apu calling Sharon a war criminal, when he (Apu) shows so much love for Arafat and his terrorist regime. Sabra and Shatilla were unfortunate events, I admit. However, with re. the lastest intafada, to even imply that Sharon was the cause is absolute lunacy. Sharon went to the Temple Mount, a historically significant Jewish holy place, to which he had EVERY right to go. "Palestinians" went "nuts" because of this, and with Arafat's urging/support. Fast forward to the "Road Map", wherein the PA agrees it will disarm ALL terrorist organizations simultaneously with the Israelis dismantling illegal settlements. Immediately upon agreeing to this, the PA says it won't disarm the terrorists because they don't want a civil war, but that Israel should dismantle settlements regardless. Then the PA wants all it's prisoners held in Israeli prisons released as part of the "Road Map", (even though there is NO MENTION OF PRISONER RELEASE in the Road Map). Once again, the Arafat and the PA expect the Israelis to capitulate to all it's demands, and to do NOTHING in return. Which leads me to today...I originally posted on this thread in the hopes of educating some of you, and maybe changing minds. I (not so) quickly learned that a lot of you are deadset in your opinions, as erroneous as they may be. But, my mind was changed a bit, as a result of some of your opinions and the personal attacks on me and My People, and here's how; 1) I am a Zionist, and VERY proud of it. I would rather die than see one square foot of Israel go under Arab control, and will do evrything in my power to prevent that from happening. Thus, I will donate $1.00 for each posting on this thread to the following organizations...The American Zionist Association, The Friends of the IDF, and the LIBI Fund (for strengthening the Israeli military). 2) A great Jewish leader once said the Arab problem in Israel is like a cancer. (If you have cancer, you have to remove it or destroy it, or it will kill you.) He was 100% correct. (Kahane chai!). I will also be donating money to the Kach Party, and dedicating the donation to my "Friends at Soxtalk.com". 3) Keep up the bashing of Sharon...maybe if world opinion sways so heavily against him that Israel will remove him from power. Then...get ready for BINYAMIN NETANYAHU, a war hero and genuine bad ass! Then "it" will hit the fan, and I'll sit back and enjoy every minute of it. SHALOM!

For the last time...IT MAKES NO SENSE FOR THE SOX TO TRADE FOR AND KEEP NOMAR! 1) He doesn't want to play here, he's a Californian, as is his wife! 1a) Why would he want to play here? 2) He will leave after 2004 season, and we'll get NOTHING for him...if Reinsdorf won't pay Maggs (one of HIS OWN), why would he pay (more for) Nomar?

But...won NONE of the games. Zero, nada, nothing! Pastime...I totally respect where you're coming from. I love the Sox, and still go to 15-20 games a year, (I'd NEVER go to Wrigley!!!). JR has to do more, to entice me to more games...fielding a team in which I could be the #5 starter just isn't that enticing. (Although I might be able to break a pane of glass with my "fastball".) I believe in the theory of "If you build it, (a competitive team), they will come.".

BrandoFan...I have been a Sox fan since 1972, you probably weren't even an acccident then! If you want to have a mature discussion about the Sox, I will do so, and will teach you about baseball AND business. If you just want to have a "battle of wits" , I'll kick your un-armed ass! It's your call. If you think that JR will spend money on players if more people come to the Cell, you are either naive or stupid. Like you said before, he's a businessman. The more money he earns form attendance, the richer he'll get. JR has never shown any inclination to re-invest in the team! So, keep on lining his pockets; I'm sure he appreciates it. IlliniBob...let me ask you this... Have you ever played in a sports league, i.e. softball, basketball, whatever, where your team was so bad that you knew you were gonna get pounded every game? I have, and it's NO fun. I compare that to the current Sox...is it fun knowing that at your team's best, they're nowhere close to being a viable playoff contender? II am not trying to discourage you; keep on coming to the games and spending your hard earned money if you enjoy doing so. Steve Bartman's my idol is damn right! First point, it was 3 years ago; MY point, it was winning the AL Central...that doesn't mean dick! It's like kissing your sister, nice, but it means NOTHING! People: My father was a holocaust survivor, who was able to escape Poland and get to Israel, to fight for her independence in 1948. BrandoFan...do you work for the Sox? I have put a lot of money is JR's pockets, and have NOTHING to show for it. The more money he gets, the more he pockets...he doesn't spend it to make the Sox better. "Fans" like you want it both ways; you want the Sox to spend like a small-market team, (even though they are a big market team), and you want them to compete with the big market/big money teams. That is both absurd and impossible! If you go to a restaurant that has average (at best) food and service, would you keep going back there, hoping that if you do, maybe the food/service will improve? I didn't think so! The ONLY way you can show JR that you don't approve of the direction (or lack thereof) that the Sox are going...you HAVE to stay away from the Cell. If not, enjoy a .500 (barely) team that will NEVER be a serious playoff contender. Don't buy into JR's bulls***!
