What a crappy game NCAA Football 2005 was. I traded it in after about a week.

You thought it would happen at Wheeler? Wow that is a small school for something like that to happen. I was suprised yesterday at school that we didn't do anything major, all we did was talk about it in our first hour classes. It was hard to work for the rest of the day because it was hard to focus. It turns out that I knew three of the victims, the third one I didn't know by name, but see him all the time in the weight room. The worst injury was one girl who lost a big chunk of her nose and had to have a lot of stitches all over her face and arms. Another boy who you might have seen on the news had two big gashes on his face and torn tendons in his fingers. It was weird yesterday driving up to school in the morning with news trucks all over and reporters walking around. In my opinion, James should be tried as an adult and be locked up for life. He was a bright kid who knew well what he was doing, he was even on our Science Olympiad team with one of my friends.

I got my liscense this summer, so this afternoon was my first real experience driving in snow. It was different to say the least. My truck is rear-wheel drive so that makes it all the worse. I haven't put weight in the back yet either because I wasn't expecting a snowstorm in November. At least I made it home safely.

Nope. He just moved here this year from Chicago. According to reports, he was a good student who got all A's and B's. My only guess is that maybe he had no friends after moving here? What really bothers me about this whole thing is the fact that this kid got two large knives into my school. One was even a machete. Also, all the slashings were on the students faces and heads. Some had cuts on their hands from trying to protect their faces. He had an intent to kill. :headshake

He is in the psych ward right now, but I'm sure he will be in JDC very soon. The police took him off in handcuffs..

Illinois is playing Valpo's punching bag of the Mid-Con. We are undefeated against Oakland since they joined the Mid-Con, which was about 6 years ago. I think we are about 16-0 against them.

OK, I finally got Soxtalk to work. Here is what happened. At about 8 this morning, we hear people running down the hall and yelling. I don't think much of it because my class was in the freshman hallway and the little freshman always go running by and yell at their friends and such. A few seconds later, a teacher comes running into our room and tells us to lock the door and keep all students in the classroom. I was in German class at the time. Little did we know, we were 2 doors down from where all of this transpired. For the next 4 hours, we were locked in our classroom not knowing what the heck was going on. When I got up to look out the door into the hallway to see what happened, I saw a trail of blood streaking down the hall. The janitor eventually mopped it all up. Announcements kept coming on that there is a crisis and everyone should stay in their classrooms. At about 8:30, they came on and told us they had things under control, but to stay in our rooms until the police finished their investigation. Now all sorts of terrible things were going on in our minds. The faculty wouldn't tell us anything. In my sisters class, one of her friends brothers called and told her what was happening so the public knew more than we did. After the four hours were over, they let us out of lockdown and we could go home. I just got into my car, loaded in my buddies and we went over to my friends house to play some poker to get our minds off of it. In all, 7 of my peers were stabbed and thankfully 6 of them are out of the hospital now. 7 of the 8 involved were freshman and one sophmore. I knew the sophmore and one of the freshman. Thank the lord everyone survived, this was one hectic day. This freshman class at our school is nothing but trouble. As Cerb said, earlier this year a freshman brought a gun to school, gave it to his friend who then went home, got stoned, and blew his own head off. That kid was in two of my classes and the kid who supplied the gun was in one of my classes. Please keep my classmates and school in your prayers. Thank you.

Like I said, I'm not gonna go out and read a bunch of books. I play poker to have fun with my friends, not to take all their money and win a lot. Winning is nice, but having fun is better. I have a job to make money, I don't need to win a whole lot playing poker. I have enough reading and studying for school, I'm not gonna do it for poker. Anyways, I'm inviting a bunch of the newbie poker players and plain bad players to play at my house Wednesday instead of playing in the "Tournament of Champions" my friends were having.

IMO Wallace should have just as big a suspension because he started it all. If he didn't push Artest that hard none of this would have even happened. There is no way Jackson, O'Neal, and Artest should all have much longer suspensions. Ron did not foul Big Ben that hard.

And Danman, I raised $2.50 before the flop and he called because he was chip leader and it was suited clubs.

I just want to play for fun, not to make money, that's what my job for. He is the only one in our group that does that kind of stuff and it shows I guess.

Yeah I checked my newspaper then and saw that it was Sportsline mistake. How could they make that big of a mistake when one team lost by almost 20 points?

:banghead :headshake Wow this afternoon sucked major f***ing monkey ass. I played cash games at my friends house with about 10 other people and played amazing all day. I bought in with $10 and got that up to $55. About a half hour before I had to leave, I got dealt pocket 9's. Flop comes and it is 9-7-5. I bet $5 and another kid raises me to all in. Having flopped top trips, I had to call. After much deliberation and pressure from my friends I called and of course he had 8-6. Straight. The kid who beat me took about $20 from me each of the last three weeks when I got up huge and then lost it all. This sucks so bad, I want to f***ing kick the kids ass. He's a f***ing nerd that studies poker like it's his job, buying books and researching. And to top it off I was urging my friend who hosted the game to not invite him and he did not until we did not have enough chips and had to invite him because he had chips. :puke :fyou :fyou :fyou :puke :fyou

Ok, now I'm really confused. Sportsline put us as winning 88-70 and then I went to the universitys site to get a recap and apparently we lost 88-70. Oh well I guess, we have a solid freshman class that can do good things later on.

Valpo won their opener last night 88-70 at Cincinatti!!! Look out Duke and Illinois!

Yeah I agree. I just saw the same thing during the Kings game and the announcers blew it way out of proportion.
