2-1. Now that my baseball seasons are winding down with the tounaments this week, I will probably go to a lot more games in the second half.

No, he is from Romania. He lived there until he was 3. And then lived in Germany for a few years. You would never know it though. He is a typical American 22 year old. I'm not sure, but I think he still has his green card. I know he did at one point, but he doesn't talk about it much, so he might not have it now.

I wouldn't mind Konerko going to the game because it's not like he's on a schedule of pitches or whatever. Buehrle and the other pitchers, especially Shingo, need the rest, Konerko doesn't really need the full three days. As long as he doesn't f*** up his swing in the HR Derby if he's in it.

Good for him. Beltran really got screwed, almost more than the White Sox organization. Now if only Giambi comes down with some more parasites. But the Sox players do need the rest because they don't have a day off the rest of July after the All-Star game.

Konerko would have to be in the All-Star game to participate anyways. The only reason Palmerio is in the derby without being in the game is because of the whole "500 home run club" idea that the MLB is milking.
