  1. Way to go Sox! Garland, you're awesome!
  2. Awesome game! Great to see that a pitcher completely owned us, but he made one mistake and out hitters made him pay for it!
  3. I don't blame him for not wanting to leave. He is better off in Arizona than in NY, why leave?
  4. Great to see! Ond bad thing is the pitching has given up the most home runs.
  5. Yes, that would be great. I have always dreamed that one day my life long favorite player would start an All-Star game.
  6. I am one of the people who wanted Ponson, I'll admit it. I even drafted him on one of my fantasy teams and he has taken the team down with him... I would have liked to see Colon back, but not for the money he was demanding.
  7. If Giambi doesn't start whether it be because of injury or just turning down the invite, I really think Thomas should start. Frank, Pauly, and David Ortiz are the three most deserving 1B/DH in the AL this season.
  8. He is hitting close to .500 with RISP. That is outstanding for a bench player. Congrats to Timo.
  9. I think however said it earlier was right, Mauer hit a fastball for the rope double, but Lee could have cut it off and held him to a single. Secondly, another thing Shingo does well is piss off hitters. It is discouraging for MLB hitters when they cannot hit a 60 MPH "frisbee"
  10. Haha, yeah. Most of mine are old and wringly. But there are some hot student teachers and student aids.
  11. Frank and Konerko should both make the team and have Ortiz be the other 1B. Damn Yankee fans and Giambi.
  12. Happy Gilmore, but it was a tough choice. Caddyshack and Hoosiers were very close to being my favorite.
  13. Ah, okay. Thanks for clearing this up. Hopefully's FG's love will help with him signing an extension.
  14. Let's never look back and run away with this thing!
  15. I think Oz knows we have seen the Twins come back on us way too many times. I don't mind seeing Shingo in now. This is a huge game, why risk it?
  16. Is that a new commercial they just showed? I really liked it.
  17. I just got in. Looks like Buehrle has been a stud once again. Hunter robs Uribe there, heading to the bottom of the ninth, 6-2 Sox!
  18. I blew a four point lead to Yahtz on Sunday, and am now only 41 games back. I predict a comeback.
  19. It set in late last night. I realized that we have a badass starting rotation and when Shoe comes back we'll have a great one through five, not just four. I think Scott can pitch like he did at the start of the season after his off time and help us out a lot in the stretch run.
  20. I am thrilled with the trade. I believe it puts us over the top in the AL Central and maybe even in the whole AL. Garcia is a stud and was the best option out there.
  21. I know, not too many people do it at all anymore. Maybe it will start again now that we got Garcia, especially if we have a good roadtrip.
  22. The Times! I should go get my paper right now, it's still in my driveway. Yoda, since you get The Times you must live in NWI. Which town? I live in Valpo and was just wondering.
  23. Ah, the 2000 roadtrip. I remember it well because I was staying at my grandma's house in Northern Michigan because my parents were in Italy. We stayed there 10 days, the week roadtrip and then the next series. I would try to watch the games on WGN, but my grandma would yell at me because she hated sports. So the only part of the entire roadtrip I saw was when the Sox came home and the standing ovation tradition started. What a great feeling that was, but then my grandma saw I was watching baseball and switched the channel back to CNN.
  24. I decided to watch the show today and was suprised to see the Sox being the "first word". Mariotti's response also stunned me as he said Chicago is a Sox town right now. We even were mentioned before the Yankees!
