What I have said a million times already and I will keep saying is that the dishonor he brought on everyone who served in Vietnam with his phony war crimes accusations and his throwing away of his combat decorations is the issue, especially from a man who is trying to act like he's Rambo or something on the campaign trail.

That is a very interesting question. There are only two democrats who I'd ever vote for ( Bill Lipinski and Mayor Daley ) and one of them is now retiring but I want to see Obama win this election by a huge margin just to stick it to the Illinois Republican party for picking this lunatic when they could have gotten Judy Baar Topinka to run instead and possibly won the seat that way.

I am one of the biggest Republicans around here but I can't bring myself to vote for Alan Keyes. He's a nutjob from Maryland who parachuted into the state to run for Senator. Keyes and his blowups reminds me of that South Park episode with the "Passion of Christ" in it where Mel Gibson acts like a total whack job. I will abstain in the Illinois Senate race.

I love this. You are worried about our soldiers having old equipment but you also want to cut the defense budget 15%. I totally agree we have a lot of old equipment and we need to modernize it badly ( there's a lot of stuff out there that stays running simply because of the ingenuity of our soldiers ). I also agree that the DOD wastes a lot of money. What should happen is that there should be a DOD-wide audit to find ways to cut fat out of the budget and instead of taking away this money use it to add more troops and buy new equipment. The Air Force was given 100 new mid air refuelers that it didn't need? That is complete crap. The Air Force's fleet of mid air tankers dates back to the 1960's. THE NINTEEN SIXTIES!! and is in desperate need of an upgrade. The big flap over the tankers was that the DOD wanted to lease them from Boeing instead of buying them outright which was massively more expensive, hence the scandal.

Hopefully they dont try to use gas like they did in that theater when they killed everybody.

Stomping up and down about how rich the rich are isin't going to improve your lot in life or mine or anyone elses so I fail to understand why you people spend so much time worrying about it. Punishing success with aggressive taxation and wealth re-distribution may make the socialist class envy crowd happy in the short term but it hurts us in the long run. What incentive is there to be better than the next guy when you will be no better off for it? What incentive is there to take risks and innovate when you will be robbed by the tax man for your trouble? It's those risk takers and innovaters that make us better than all the rest and they dont deserve to be punished. Bush was totally right to go after the death tax. Is it really fair to have someone's money taxed twice by the government and at a much higher rate the second time around? I think not. Ronald Reagan signed the largest tax increase in American history? You are losing it my friend. Bill Clinton did that in 1993. You want to talk about health care costs skyrocketing? How bout you stop blaming HMO's and drug companies and start blaming trial lawyers and their frivolus lawsuits. You have men like JOHN EDWARDS amassing a 8 figure fortune suing the health care industry, an industry which is forced to pass those costs along to their customers. But you won't even hear about tort reform will you? Thought not.

Bull f***ing s***. Bush inherited a growing recession, the country got attacked shortly after he took office making things worse and he trashed the economy? Spare me. That is total crap and you know it. Bush and his tax cuts helped bring us out of the recession, started creating jobs again and now things are far better economically than they were. Hell yes we're safer now. Before 9-11 we deluded ourselves into thinking we couldn't get hit here and that terrorism was .......ISREAL'S........problem. Now we are far better able to combat terrorism than we are taking the steps necessary to eradicate it where it lives.
