And Manning is the all-time quarterback in the game where stats, and not winning games is what matters. Oh wait that game doesn't exist.

A lesser name player I think the Sox should get...

I've been a Chonny fan since 2002. He'd be better than Willie, that's for sure. -
Just because you people have an irrational hate of Carl Everett doesn't mean you're right when you say he's not a good player. Tell me, what are Rowand's career averages?
-
f*** no. Burkett was awful last year. If he made it to the fifth inning, that was a good outing. This is rarely the case, but I'd rather throw a rookie out there and see what he could do.

I think Kerry beats the angry man in the white people election.

Centenary. And I didn't look that up either.

Kurt Thomas and Lee Nailon both did it at TCU, if I remember right. Though TCU is hardly a small school.

Are you kidding me. Everett hit .287-28-92 last year. With us, .301-10-41 in half a season. OBP of .377, third behind Magglio and Frank. Not that good, give me a break. I mean, I know he's no Aaron Rowand but still. Give the man some credit.

so what do you call a team that hasn't won a playoff game in ten years, and hasn't even been to a conference championship in sixteen?
-
It's Musin not Mushin. And don't worry about the Eagles. Tugboat.

I should clarify too. I'm a Giants fan first and foremost. But as the Giants showed no heart, quit after the second game, I've watched the Pats all season, beginning with the debacle and through all the games they pulled out on a wing and a prayer. They were fun to watch, the way they worked together and didn't quit. And at the same time this was going on, while they were winning 13 in a row, all I heard about was Peyton Manning and the Colts. All the pundits, all the so-called experts have prattled on about Manning, giving Brady and the Pats no respect. It was like I was trying to call a spade a spade, while everyone else called a spade a club. Now, finally, the Pats have gotten it done and shown what I was saying all along. That is why I'm so into it, why I'm so happy about this win. It is vindication.

Really? I don't think so. But that's fine, I don't really care about excuses. I care about the fact that the Patriots are holding the Lamar Hunt trophy, and the Colts are going home. Now I can stop hearing about Peyton and his stats against the pee-wee defenses in Denver and KC. Hoo-rah.
-
Beeeeeeeeeeeat it Ponies. I said all season that Brady was the MVP. f*** Peyton, f*** Marvin, f*** that sorry excuse for a defense. Manning overrated, like his entire team. I said it all along.

Is that convincing enough for ya?!?! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Hooray ACC, best conference in all the land.

I know what it is, haven't seen in it but Boone definitely does have some of the rattiest hair I've ever seen. It's like a living thing on top of his head.
-
He's one of the best in college ball, but he does get a lot of respect from the refs offensively and defensively. He didn't get his first foul until 14:30 or so of the second half.

Kentucky with bad loss to Georgia today. Also, UConn did have a comeback left in them. B) 61-60 Tar Heels.
-
Oh, that's wicked lame. UNC is up big for now, there's been some s***ty calls. I think UConn has a comeback in them though.

No check CBS dude.

I always find it interesting how PETA attacks people who wear fur but not people who wear leather. Maybe it has something to do with the kind of people who wear each kind, and whether or not they could kick a PETA member's ass.

Duke held on against a Wake team that fought back more than I thought they would. Also, St. Joe's is fighting off a tough Xavier team on ESPN.
-
Also, Vitale brought it up, but how crazy would it be if both finals (men's and women's) were Duke-UConn?
-
Yeah, the early jumps to the assocation just highlights the importance of having senior leaders (Kansas last year), really good young players (Syracuse last year), or just a lot of depth (Maryland a couple years ago).
-
Yeah I was just thinking about how Duke could easily go all the way. Duhon, Redick, Deng, Dockery, Randolph, they have a ton of weapons. Carolina with the big 3 is always dangerous but like you said there's a lack of depth. If May gets in foul trouble they aren't nearly as dangerous, but the game against Illinois showed just how explosive they can be. Stanford obviously deserves some consideration being undefeated, I don't know how strong the Pac-10 is though. I do like Josh Childress, he's got the intangibles that come in handy in the tournament. Also, UConn with Brown, Gordon, and Okafor are well-equipped. Two stellar guards and a defensive/rebounding monster. Not to mention Villanueva, who they didn't have yet when they lost. Right now it's easy to say because they are ranked that way, but I think Duke and UConn are the best two. Teams like Pittsburgh and Louisville could surprise in March though. Also, UConn-UNC should be a really telling game later today. Lookin forward to that one.
