  1. Yeh why not give 'em Valentin for Mota? I'd deal with that.

  3. The same association I was making in my head, not to mention we'd have to give up a lot more to get him.
  4. That's why the trade was contingent on being able to sign him to an extension. And anyway I'd rather have one year of Nomar than five of Odalis Perez. How can you say, "Yes, they're 'inflated' for pitchers, so what?" when you based your whole argument to that point on devauling Nomar's numbers at Fenway. Odalis "The Messiah" Perez Home 6-3 2.73 ERA .99 WHIP .215 AVG against Road 6-9 5.59 ERA 1.45 WHIP .297 AVG against Sign him up.
  5. As opposed to pitching stats at Dodger Stadium?

    Nomar

I am not one to speculate, but if he did that, and traded Nomar for Guiellermo-f***ing-Mota, that might be the last straw.
  7. Where's my Anger Management award dammit.

  9. I agree for the most part except Fullmer is off the market and Borchard is pretty expensive, IIRC it took a big contract to keep him from going to Stanford.

    Madden 2005

It can get frustrating on the toughest difficulty because the computer will execute ridiculous moves you could never pull off, like running backs not going down after being hit by six or seven players, defensive lineman throwing tackles to the ground etc, or your own teammates will do idiotic things you can't control to hinder you.

there's still two settings above that.
  12. Ugh Danny Ainge is so retarded. Give up two of the hardest workers on the team in E and Batman, who supply defense, rebounding and some decent scoring for a hot-dog 2 guard and another tall white guy. Hoo-rah.
  13. My point was the punishment doesn't fit the crime, but my scenario is the only one some people seem to sympathize with. But reverse the original one, say a woman cheats on her husband and gets her nose broken or something, it seems less likely that anyone would make a comment along the lines of "well that what happens, play with fire you're gonna get burned..."
  14. That's like saying to an abused woman, "Don't mouth off and your face will be fine."
  15. A text message from another woman is not proof he was cheating anyway.
  16. Clearly, the Falcons are the ultimate test of testicular fortitude. Super Bowl Champs? Hell, the Colts may be the best team to ever step on the field.
  17. christ calm down people, all i've gotten is a couple anger management nominations and it doesn't bother me one bit.
  18. actual article I don't see him making a pitch for the Cubs to sign him. People need to get their facts straight before they go railing against someone.
  19. J.P. Riccardi is way too smart to trade for Koch.
  20. I was not offended by your posts as much as Sox2004's. The reason he's doing better is because he IS a better player than LaFrentz. That is my contention, you can rag on him all you want but the fact remains that they made a dumb trade. And even with numbers that are down from his career averages, he is still much better than Raef. LaFrentz is a career .356% 3 point shooter, but is only shooting .200% this year, his FG pct is right on with his career pct (.459% to .460%), and his free throw pct is better. Yet he still is not close to as good as Antoine. People contended that the Celts got the better of this trade, and when I said that wasn't true, they jumped on me. It's obvious now that a guy who scored 20 pts a game for you last year is more valuable than one who scores 8 a game this year, and vice versa.
