QUOTE(fry the twinkies @ Jul 18, 2005 -> 07:42 PM) Shingo Takatsu: 1- Year worth 1M- will make 700K in 2004- includes 2005 Team option worth 2.525M or a 250K buyout- Option was EXERCISED by CHW on 10/28/04 Agent: Joe Urbon Service Time: 1.000 He doesn't have a no-trade clause. Why didn't they just send him down? Prolly has something to do with the 40-man roster or something, I don't know how it works.

QUOTE(sox4lifeinPA @ Jul 18, 2005 -> 06:41 PM) have you ever heard the song? If no, do it. If yes, I'm sorry that you're listening to the Millewakee Best of music...instead of enjoying a Yuengling Lager. Wow, that's a butcher job of a spelling on Milwaukee

Funny email regarding this on Jim Rome's show along the lines of: I've been pretending to be an NFL quarterback for three years. Signed, Joey Harrington

QUOTE(kapkomet @ Jul 18, 2005 -> 03:11 PM) Why would this happen - unless Brown initiated it. Cause Bill Davidson (owner) is fed up with Brown and all his distractions.

Will Bulls make playoffs this year?

In other news, who wants to predict whether it will rain on November 17, 2007? -
I don't see Takatsu being able to bring a top 5 prospect in return.

are you people f***ing serious

QUOTE(qwerty @ Jul 15, 2005 -> 09:37 PM) Widger is a mother f***ing beast. You heard it here first.

QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jul 14, 2005 -> 12:32 PM) Right now in my Cd changer My Chemical Romance Flogging Molly Millincolin Rise Against Motion City Soundtrac Fall Out Boy (cork tree) I'll go ahead and take credit for most of those And that street scene thing sounds wicked badass. Social Distortion, Flogging Molly, and Rise Against are the three best live bands I've ever seen.

Awesome exchange in the Peoria Journal article thread... QUOTE(The Critic @ Jul 15, 2005 -> 12:26 PM) It's ABSOLUTELY true about the women at Sox games! Every bit as HAWT as women at Cub games, if not better!!! The Sox seem to draw more Latinas to the games, and that is OKAY BY ME!!!! I luuuuuuuuuv the Latin ladies....that's why I married one!!!! QUOTE(Soxnbears01 @ Jul 15, 2005 -> 12:27 PM) settle down. that first paragraph is pretty stellar, especially with the reverse gender bit. QUOTE(The Critic @ Jul 15, 2005 -> 12:29 PM) Well, YOU go ahead and reverse the gender, I stand by my original comment....

QUOTE(black jack @ Jul 10, 2005 -> 01:55 AM) there isn't an option (that i can find anyway) for editing your ea tracks...turning certain songs on and off. just the whole thing..ea tracks or bands when you switch them back and forth it does play a song. here's what i saw on there: de la soul (me myself and i) no fx superchild guided by voices mt experience jaw breaker pixies lush clash (train in vain) it's neat. when you first turn it on you get a THX sign and the noise like a dvd or film. then when you reach the menu it shows actual gamefilm/highlights. this game rocks. takes some getting used to, but man is it fun. haven't played any race for heisman (except for creating my character) or dynasty since i'm waiting for my rosters. Wow, guided by voices, pixies and the clash, that's f***in awesome

I cannot stand when people add -gate on to any situation or scandal. So unoriginal and annoying.

QUOTE(Soxnbears01 @ Jul 9, 2005 -> 09:22 PM) glad to hear the game is fast because last year's version was god awfully slow. I'm sorry but i don't need a 5 second cutscene of nothing after every play. Well if they didn't do that, you would have no idea how everyone got back to the huddle. BTW tonight's Sox game just makes me want this game more.

QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jul 9, 2005 -> 08:57 PM) Instead of blaming Pablo, who isn't a 3B by any means and shouldn't be playing there in the first place, people should be blaming Buehlre if they're going to blame anyone at all. He's a great pitcher and I love him on our team, but he s*** his pants again against the A's. He really sucks dick against them. No I blame Ozuna because a major leaguer should be able to field a ground ball. The.End.

No problem.
-
It definitely is, which is why I had to double-check before I actually tried it.
-
Well I vaguely remember LaValliere, I was just pumped that I remembered he was on that 1993 team at all, considering I was 9 years old at the time and I never got to see the Sox on TV.
-
i tried...

QUOTE(ChiSoxFan @ Jul 9, 2005 -> 11:23 AM) The batter looks like George Bell, judging by the batting stance. Actually yeah you might be right about Bell because I double-checked and LaValliere batted lefty.
-
Looks like it was Mike LaValliere batting, but that's just a guess. I think they said the catcher's name was Orton. And a quick check of the Angels roster that year tells me that #19 was Joe Grahe.

QUOTE(AbeFroman @ Jul 8, 2005 -> 08:04 PM) The wife works for playboy? To that I say... well done! You read my mind.

QUOTE(Randar68 @ Jul 7, 2005 -> 11:59 PM) As of today, Valido is too low, and Nick Lemon is about 20 spots too high, IMO. Nick Lemon is a better prospect than Harrell, Russell, Cunningham, Brooks, Andy Gonzalez, etc? Where is Jenks? I was wondering where Valido was on the original list, but I didn't say anything cause figured there must be somethin I didn't know about why he wouldn't be there.
