Most unpleasant bunch of people I think I've ever seen. Good god, and here I was thinking that sanity had been restored a bit, we just get more people who do nothing but b**** the entire game.

QUOTE(fathom @ Jul 4, 2005 -> 10:09 PM) How many hits can one pitcher allow with 2 strikes? That's a huge difference between the minors and the majors. Well, he should have had strike 3 but the ump blatantly blew the call.

Longley was a stiff.

QUOTE(ScottPodRulez22 @ Jul 3, 2005 -> 09:27 PM) The Widgenator damn right

QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jul 3, 2005 -> 08:37 PM) Welcome to Soxtalk Mr. Oswalt Well, thank you much, pard'ner. I reckon this is a nice cozy place to settle down. What the f*** am I talking about.
-
Hi, I'm Roy Oswalt. I have 10 wins on a s***ty team, a 2.54 ERA in ten-run field, and a WHIP of 1.07. But you won't find me on the all-star team because LaRussa hates the Astros.

The new Sage Francis album, my god. So good. The most poignant lyrics I've heard since the Slim Shady LP. And the music itself, better than 99% of the rap beats out there. http://www.epitaph.com/bands/index.php?id=410 Listen to Slow Down Gandhi. The whole thing is stellar, but it's a good example.

QUOTE(aboz56 @ Jul 3, 2005 -> 05:54 PM) Rooney makes a great point. We've played 6 times in Oakland in each of the past two seasons, yet they've only played us at home 3 times each of those years. Someone f***ed up the schedule making process. That's just pure bulls***. I was just thinkin about that Friday. It seems like the Sox play out there a whole lot, considering the unbalanced schedule. 6 games in Oakland before any in Chicago. What gives?

QUOTE(jerseysox @ Jul 3, 2005 -> 05:42 PM) we're not going to score enough runs to beat good pitching in the postseason. your mother. Way to counter anything I said, especially the part about the walnut-sized brain. If anything you just reinforced it. Well, I guess the proof is in the pudding. You hate this team, you hate the people here, I guess there's no reason for you to be here.
-
QUOTE(jerseysox @ Jul 3, 2005 -> 05:37 PM) game over because we can't score runs against decent pitchers. happy? No I'm not f***ing happy, not as long as you're around. Shut the f*** up already. I'm sure everyone is down enough without braindead f***s like you coming around with death warrants for them to sign. You're always ready to lead the funeral procession for this team and it's not doing any good for anyone. So no, I'm not happy and if you hate this team so much, take your walnut-sized brain and your foul disposition and go somewhere else :finger .

QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jul 3, 2005 -> 05:36 PM) Who the f*** gives a s***.
-
That was almost more painful than Contreras, only because there was stuff nobody control (ie: the umpire) involved.

QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jul 2, 2005 -> 07:56 PM) Does anyone know if individual performances will ever be put online from Live 8? I'm watching some of them right now on the repeat, but I don't want to wait through like 6 hours of London performances in order to get to The Who and Floyd. This repeat on ABC is only gonna be 2 hours.
-
I love the Who, but somehow I don't think it'd be the same without Moon and Entwistle.

QUOTE(Fotop @ Jun 29, 2005 -> 02:53 PM) That's a pretty sweet poster. I'm a sucker for a good movie poster. [/enduselesspost] (I'm allowed one every once and awhile. ) I was thinking the same thing. The movie looks so-so, but the poster is awesome.

I'm not surprised at all. Rove doesn't get mad, he gets even, in spades.

QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Jul 2, 2005 -> 11:42 AM) I remember when SD got May from KC. The ESPN "experts" were going crazy saying what a solid pick up he was. He sucked in KC, he sucked in SD and he'll suck in NY. Not only that, but Quantrill makes $3 mill this season, while May makes $3.225 mill. Nice trade, Yanks.

QUOTE(JohnStamos @ Jul 2, 2005 -> 12:10 AM) I want to rip my f***in head off. We can't throw strikes, we walk in two runs, we take 2 hours to play 5 innings of baseball, and THAT f***ING HORN IN THE BACKGROUND IS GNAWING INTO MY BRAIN. JESUS CHRIST, can't they edit that s*** out of the background noise or something. Haha, almost as bad as the singing vendor in Detroit.

QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Jul 2, 2005 -> 12:07 AM) You have to admit, when the walks start to pile up like this, plus a few wild pitches, most umps wont call the close ones. And Hawk and DJ just commented on this. They won't, but I wish they would.
-
The pitchers suck, but the ump aint doing them any favors.
-
QUOTE(qwerty @ Jul 1, 2005 -> 11:53 PM) Ozzie must figure the game is a lost cause anyway with bringing walker in. Yeah, I'm pretty sure he'd rather save the other ones (with ability) for Garland and Buehrle. Right now he's just seeing if Walker can keep it close.
-
QUOTE(Soxnbears01 @ Jul 1, 2005 -> 11:37 PM) it starts at 10 PM! what do you expect 10 is when the party starts B)

There is nobody at this game.
