The owners want a salary cap, because they say they've lost almost 2 billion dollars in the last few years due to salaries being way higher than revenues. The players don't want salaries based on revenue, which I think is pretty goddamn stupid. They need to step up and realize that the sport is waning in popularity, and this just might kill it.
