uh, listen meathead. you were the one who came on here predicting championships for k-state. they then proceeded to get beat down at home, by a non-conference team. fsu losing on the road to miami in overtime (big difference between them and fresno state) is not nearly as bad, choke or no choke. in fact, all three teams you were slurping (k-state, dolphins, and ravens) got beat down this weekend. i'd advise you to stay out of the prediction business. -
http://www.boston.com/news/globe/editorial..._gollum_voters/ Solid metaphor that I think applies to alot of people (at least around here).

hang in there, hopefully you've seen the last of these things for a while.

don't save it as a bitmap. in fact, start over and just print screen right into Paint. then save it as a jpeg, but make sure it's smaller than 200k.

It's a good thing I'm around.

thank you. now as far as posting your desktop, just hit the Print Screen button (up next to F12) and then paste it in a graphics program (IE: MSPaint). Then you save it and upload it here. You might wanna resize it (like I did) to make the file small enough to fit on here.

Tex, I edited it to make the format easier to read. Don't worry though I didn't change anyone's picks.

This is probably the most mysterious game of the day. New weapons for the Lions, new coach for the Bears. Anything could happen here.

I don't care what you say, being a fan of a powerhouse team is the easiest thing in the world.

Going to a school and being a fan of the athletic teams are two totally separate things. Just like living in a city and and liking the sports teams are two different things. I don't give a s*** about UMASS football even though they are pretty solid (for I-AA). If I all of a sudden turned around and started being #1 fan after they won the national title I would be a front-runner. And I'd be the first to admit it. This s*** we are arguing about is stupid but I take it seriously. If I was a fairweather fan I would have switched allegiances to the Red Sox by now. If I was a fairweather fan, I'd eliminate all the questions about, YOU'RE FROM MASSACHUSETTS AND YOU DON'T LIKE THE RED SOX?? and just switch over. But I f***ing don't. I take all the s*** about how I should like the SAWWWWWWWX and explain that yes, I like the White Sox. Frank, Crede, Konerko, oh they got plenty of ammo, but I shoot right back at 'em. Yeah, I'm a real sucker for the easy way out. I only celebrate the easiest teams and I change with the breeze. Go through the s*** I go through, following teams on the internet and highlight shows with nobody around you who cares whether they win or lose, and then tell me I have it easy.

What does that have to do with anything?

haha, K-state got absolutely pummeled by Fresno STATE. thank god we can put all that s*** to bed about K-State being a good team. -
You go ahead and do that. I don't care. I'm not insecure enough to go running around questioning people's loyalties on sports teams. You do whatever the hell you want, but don't tell me I only root for them because it's easier, that's a bunch of garbage.

No, you're right. Without ESPN, people might still be relegated to box scores in the paper and 5 minutes at the end of the local news. It has many annoying personalities on it, but on the whole it's the best thing to happen to sports in this century. It brought athletics from a sub-culture of cult-like status to a mainstream, marketable way of life. It cannot be overstated the path that ESPN blazed in 1979. You take the bad with the good, and the latter far outweighs the former. So ironic, that the people on this board curse out ESPN's shortcomings every possible chance they get, but they wouldn't even know half as much about sports in the first place if Shell Oil hadn't launched that satellite up into space a quarter-century ago.

No I don't think anyone can. It's a whole different level of expectations. 10 wins means nothing compared to that 1 loss. Not everyone could deal with that. You want to know why it's there? I'll tell you. 1995 Orange Bowl against Notre Dame, CBS in the pregame runs a story about Warrick Dunn, the 5'9" running back for one of the top programs in the country. It turns out that Dunn's mother was a police officer in Louisiana and was killed while on duty while Warrick was in high school. Dunn raised his brothers his and sisters like a father, the father that he never knew. He earned a scholarship to FSU, but still made the drive back to Louisiana often to check on his five siblings. Right then I knew that was a person I wanted to root for. And I have continued to. From being drafted by the Bucs and now on the Falcons, he remains my favorite football player of all-time. He drew me to the Noles, and I got behind them after all the memories he provided (ie: the 1996 game in the swamp). If you want to question my roots further, go ahead and hate. I don't have to prove s*** to anyone.

haha, I love the little two-second clip of michael moore dancing.

I didn't grow up in Chicago either but I like the White Sox. So-the-f***-what. It behooves you not to take this any further and test my mettle. Living in a team's area makes you a good fan? Then why is everyone always ripping on Cubs fans. If they live in Chicago, they must be great fans, right? Part of being a fan of a good, really good, team, especially in college football, is living and dying on every play and every game. I can deal with this loss, believe me. I still bleed garnet and gold, my sig aint goin anywhere. I almost got in a fist fight tonight with some total stranger who ripped on FSU. You tell me what's more gutless; putting yourself out there on every minute of the game to be crushed, or resigning yourself to another 6-5 season and laughing off a loss like nothing.

Amen to you shutting the hell up. Wait til the Northwestern-Northern Idaho thread when Northwestern gets beat down. Oh wait, there won't even be one because people don't even care enough to make one.
-
I don't believe the people here that rail against the Yankees for being cocky assholes and then root for Miami. Disgusting.
-
whatever, fsu doesn't have to prove s*** to you people

Finland says, that's how the f*** we do. MIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIKKA stands tall again. I bet on Finland before it started, 5 to win 75. We'll see what happens against Canada.
