Anyone else notice how many balls are getting hit to the warning track and run down by the outfielders. While it's a good sign about our outfield defense and hopefully not missing Rowand too much out there, it's a little worrisome that the Royals are clocking Buehrle's pitches so hard.
Why all the hate on Crede? Great defense, as usual, and even laid down a very nice bunt. He did what he had to. He was better than Mueller, at any rate.
A friend of mine goes to school in Boston and just called to give congratulations and say he'll root for the Sox in the ALCS. He's not a diehard or anything, but it's nice to know that the Sox are getting some props.
Kong was huge!!! We wouldn't have won either of the last two games without him. Even his defense was stellar. I can think of three great plays he made off the top of my head.
It's worth noting the Sox are 11-2 and since Little Papi was placed in my avatar. He's been very good offensively and defensively for the last couple months.
I think Kenny deserves some serious props:
2000:
1. Jim Parque
2. James Baldwin
3. Mike Sirotka
2005 (in no particular order):
1. Mark Buehrle
2. Freddy Garcia
3. Jon Garland
4. Jose Contreras
5. Brandon McCarthy
6. Orlando Hernandez
I'll take anyone from 2005 over 2000
I'm thinking we should go with the man with big game experience...he's started Game 1 before and I think you all know who I'm talking about.
Jim "Butter" Parque
It sure is nice not having to stress about things like Podsednik falling down in the outfield or wild pitches. They still suck, but I don't want to punch myself in the face over them or anything. Gotta enjoy it for the enxt four days or so.
