  1. What is this talk with the Skins? I see there apparently a 50/50 chance according to some sources with the trib that a deal goes down (I read this on the trib, I don't have any football sources).
  2. QUOTE(BobDylan @ Apr 26, 2007 -> 09:27 PM) Fox gave "It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia" a chance. It initially aired on FX, but got poor ratings in the first season. They re-aired the first season on Fox and saw the same trend. They signed it for a second season though. (Maybe because Danny Devito was added to the cast?) And it paid off big time. I'm not sure what the deal is, but FX has a pretty good line-up of shows. Rescue Me, Nip Tuck, It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia. I wonder why they put these shows on FX and not the national network. Because I don't think these shows could get away with the stuff they do on a national network (in terms of the type of jokes/language/violence, etc.
  3. Personally I could give two craps, especially since the comment about champagne was said after the effect. But thats just me. I know the rules are made for a reason but I don't think that reason was to prevent what Torri did.
  4. I'll be there Fri, Sat, & Sunday...one of those weekend days I'll be tailgating if all goes well.
  5. Well done...it may not have been pretty but it was a nice come from behind win by the Sox, even though in the middle of the comeback they blew the game and than had to come back again!!!!
  6. QUOTE(danman31 @ Apr 24, 2007 -> 10:23 PM) Agree that the Royals have the most boring announcers known to man? I'd say Yes, but I still take them over Hudler (although his stupidity makes him interesting). The thing I noticed is just how much the Royals announcers repeat themselves.
  7. Alex Gordon (The Gun appears to be pretty accurate): 94 MPH - FB up and away 94 MPH - Strike 90 MPH - Cutter or sinker (couldn't quite tell which) - Strike 86 MPH - Nasty Curve into the dirt (batter didn't bight though) HE GAWN on a 95 MPH fastball down in the zone.
  8. For those curious, Royals cast has this: 94 MPH - FB 86 (breaking ball) - Ground out
  9. Now it is just misting. Sanders flies out to Mack in RF.
  10. QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 24, 2007 -> 10:20 PM) How close was he to being in fair territory? And I agree, you can't judge where the ball will go. Chip Ambres It was close, but he was clearly in foul territory when he was drilled.
  11. QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Apr 24, 2007 -> 10:19 PM) You just know nothing will be easy this upcoming inning. I'd bet more for Jenks giving up a run than him pitching a perfect 9th for the save. Perfect inning...book it.
  12. QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 24, 2007 -> 10:18 PM) Seriously, how do they rule that? If it hit him in fair territory (even if it looked like it was heading foul, it would have been fair and the opposite would hold true as well). I'm 99% sure on that.
  13. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Apr 24, 2007 -> 10:17 PM) If they stop it for the night, it would start in this exact same situation now right and they'd finish later. Tho at this point I imagine they'll try to do everything to get it in. Me too, but either way I don't like having to restart games because you never know what happens...momentum changes plus you have to use extra arms and all that jazz.
  14. QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 24, 2007 -> 10:17 PM) This is insane!!!! BTW, how do they rule on a ball that hits the ump like that? If he's in fair territory its a fair ball. For god sakes Joe...swing at whatever the hell is thrown here.
  15. Beautiful...now lets f***ing get out I don't want a rain delay ruining this. Please just swing at whatever is thrown Joe...just swing.
  16. QUOTE(caulfield12 @ Apr 24, 2007 -> 10:15 PM) I don't think Gordon has ever played 1B...at least not in the pros. Ya, he recorded his first put out as a first baseman at the major league level this inning (on Erstads shot to the pitcher).
  17. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Apr 24, 2007 -> 10:15 PM) Shoulda been a basehit anyway No doubt, that was crushed.
  18. Was anyone else screaming really really loud when that ball rolled away from first. WHOOOOO Now lets get some insurance and than let Bobby shut er down.
  19. QUOTE(Jimbo @ Apr 24, 2007 -> 10:13 PM) ummmm where is JD? He was pulled.
  20. Given the conditions (raining now) I have absolutely no doubt they should put in a pinch runner for Paulie because you got to make sure your guy scores when Pablo singles.
  21. Wise move by the Royals pitcher. If there wasn't 2 outs I'd be tempted to put in a pinch runner out there for Paulie and than put Thome out in the field just because with a speedster out there, a gapper would give the club the lead.
  22. QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 24, 2007 -> 10:08 PM) Tough break on that grounder up the middle. Ya, that was a nice play. By the way I just want to point out that Boone is only 22 and I'd bring him out for the 9th but the Sox are going to take the lead this inning.
