Charlotte over Syracuse 4-1. Gavin Floyd goes 7+ IP, 1 ER on a home run, 2 BB, 4 hits, 4 k's, ERA down to 3.07, 6-3 Record.

Anderson 0/3 with 2 k's and an RBI

Sweeney 0/3, 2 BB's

Owens 2/4 with a walk

Birmingham up 5-1 in the 7th. 6 innings, one run for Gio. Someone else can fill in the rest.

Floyd is the man... how bad is that trade looking for the Phillies right now?

I want Richar, Sweeney, and Floyd up in July.

I want Iguchi, Podsednik and Contreras gone in July.

With Contreras, Gooch, and Dye gone, correct?

Either of those works.

I agree on the latter two for sure. Richar, if we trade Iguchi or Uribe, bring him up. Otherwise, keep getting him playing time down in Charlotte b/c I don't think Ozzie would play him over Iguchi or Uribe.

Btw, I just noticed the "Best thread ever" link in your sig, and I love it. Just read all 11 pages of that thread, and it brings back some great memories.

Richar's second game in a row with a triple, yes?

Gio pitched a really good game against Jacksonville tonight, who has won 11 out of 12, so that is also very good news.

I'm ready for Floyd's next start to be with the White Sox.

To follow up in Balta's post, Knights win 4-1

W-S lost 3-2

Valido 2-5 HR, R

Schnurstein 0-3 BB

Richard pitched well 7 IP 7 H 2 R 2 ER 1 BB 1 SO

Kanny lost 7-4

Gartrell 2-4 HR, 2 RBI, R, 2B

Shelby 2-4 BB

GF still in progress

Gallagher 1-3 2B

Bristol lost 5-4

J. Martinez 4-5

Morales 1-5 R

L. Johnson 0-3 R, 2 BB

Someone else can follow up on the B-Ham game if there still playing.

:cheers

Looks like some promotions are in order for the likes of Gartrell as well.

As for Floyd, well he's doing what he's been doing, and it's working. Time to move Contreras, use that money to sign Ichiro in the off-season, and call up Floyd.

Ah yes, the last time I was happy.

RICHAR!

Miranda was promoted to Kanny.

The A ball players who are doing well are not getting promoted for some reason. Schnur, Carter & Gartrell are stuck. B'ham just added two minor league free agents to fill their open roster spots.

The sad thing is that thread is shorter than most of the White Sox loser threads...

I'm guessing White Sox fans who were posting on an internet message board right after the team won the World Series were a very small minority. Of course that World Series victory also cause most White Sox fans to have higher expectations for the team for years to come which make the losses harder to stomach.
