I love watching Fields - hopefully he has some more splash plays and builds on that 2nd half performance.
-
They never went for it this year - they took a qb who looks like a top 2 overall pick. Should have done it every time. God forbid they didn’t - next draft looks awful for qb.
-
Option B looks pretty stellar - that said I’d like the Marte / Marte combo and Scherzer. Screw it - go big or go home.
-
Quite frankly - the Bulls committing 10 turnovers in a quarter (3rd qtr) is such an outlier given how well the team has protected the ball all season.
-
Bright side is - if Bulls were going to lose - lose to Portland. One small step to trying and ensure that 1st round pick conveys to the Bulls this year (lottery protected - so need Blazers to get final playoff spot).
-
Trout to the Sox - book it haha
-
This - I think they are going to take a serious swing at Max.
-
There is no way Sox are trading Kimbrel for Segura straight up. I get that there contracts line up (cost wise) so I think that is probably a move the Phillies make, but Sox paying that much per year for a 2B seems odd. He is a good player though, but I feel like a lot of his value comes from the premium defensive position he plays so you lose some of that moving him to 2B.

He really looked out of shape in the game, the dunk's in 4th quarter came from nowhere. No knock on THT - because like Coby - he is coming back from injury and clearly out of shape but you are right, even out of shape THT looked athletic relative to the rest of the team.

They are very much like the 2010-2018 White Sox (pre Sale/Q trades). They just keep trying...given their approach, it isn't awful but they should have ripped the bandaid a few years ago and hit a reset button. Moreno does many things well, but he has also been a huge detriment with his short term approach to all things Angels.
-
Yeah - the pick is the only major downside. Otherwise it is a 1 year deal to see if he's healthy. He should have no excuses in terms of the actual arm injury but obviously the Angels need to be careful of his workload coming off of that injury. But they need massive help in rotation and I presume they are maybe thinking of things as a - one year to see what we can do, otherwise we may need to hit the reset button and flip Trout/Ohtani/etc.
-
This is not a terrible move. I would have though they would have went 1:1 but it really makes me question not tendering Rodon the Qualifying offer. Looking at this market - someone would have given him a deal, heck the Angels might have just said fine, we'll sign two of these injured guys and see if we win the lottery to pair with Ohtani and Trout. Angels need pitching big-time but obviously risk here and giving up a pick on a one year deal isn't easy.

The funny part - Westbrook was talking smack the whole game, down 20, didn't matter. But you could see he was pissed when Derozan took him to the clinic a few times. The LA bball seen is tough and they all want their credit...it was fun with so many local guys battling each other. I was scared someone on Bulls would get hurt cause I really don't know why their starters were in so long. Billy kept looking at Lavine - giving him the signal to rotate and bring in the scrubs and he kept shaking Billy off. I am a little worried that after the high's of these last 2 wins they could get caught off guard by the Blazers. Want to win that game and guarantee a winning record on this road trip cause Denver is going to be tough.

The rule changes were fantastic. At least nights game, watching Derozan do his thing is absolutely spectacular. You could hear the Laker fans cheering with some of the moves, footwork, etc he showed down low. It is noticeable how enjoyable that part of the game is (vs. just a giant 3 pt fest). I hope the refs stick to the new way they are calling things - beyond that though, they have to find ways to bring back the mid-range game more, because it is pretty entertaining to see guys put on moves like that.
-
The problem is - less so with the Nets (although the vets you list are all old), NBA is an athletic league and most all those aging "stars" you list are way past their prime. None of them play good D anymore and have a ton of limitations. It is obvious when you watch on the court. There is a value to vets, but you have to have a good balance of youth and veteran leadership - especially when you get to fill out rotations.

It really bummed me that the two games were literally right after each other - would much prefer spreading it out (that said - probably better for one west coast swing for the Bulls as a team vs. me as a fan). Was lucky - yesterday's seats were free (thanks to work), but was super lucky, both games had stellar seats. About 20-25 rows up in the 1st game - center court and about 15 rows up for the 2nd game (just off the center). After years of seeing such a sub-par product, when you see this team in person, they just jump off the page in terms of the pure athleticism, length, speed and hustle. Lavine had a dunk in the game where he tight-roped the sideline and than just elevated with ease through traffic (I presume it was a Sportscenter Top 10) but when you see it in person it is just insane how fluid he is out there. And than Derozan's rope a dope down low game is just spectacular. Put on a show. But my favorite was seeing Ball actually make a layup and hit a mid range jumper. I think Lonzo in a year or two will benefit immennsly from playing Demar and Lavine. Lonzo is way more athletic in person - he is big, tall, fast and strong and he can get past anyone - if he can learn a thing or two from the Bulls 2 best players - I think he has a shot at being a Top 5 PG in this league (if not better). Lonzo's transition from 3D PG to that PG will take time though and will have its periods of frustration where he just settles for shots (which is okay with how good that 3 ball has become) but it is nice to see him look more. I hope this squad stays healthy cause it is so fun (especially after the years of pure junk they put out). Even the random guys the front office added - they are all so solid and so athletic. Jones Jr, Green, etc.
-
He actually came back out shortly after. Minor note, but we noticed him leave and were like, really - he is heading out now but he made a brief reappearance with a few minutes to go. He was visibly upset most of the game and was out coaching. Vogel won't be there long at the rate they are going (not his fault either). That is a horrifically constructed roster outside of Davis/LBJ. Like horrific.
-
Fucking best I have ever seen a bulls game in person since the Jordan era. They destroyed the Lakers tonight. I know no Lebron but wow are the Lakers old and slow and the Bulls are the opposite - so long and athletic and the shots. Ball had revenge on his mind, Derozan was unstoppable and Zach was Zach. Where is the hot sauce…shit that was fun.
-
When is KW's contract up? For all we know he has like a lifetime or 10+ year agreement with JR.
-
I don't think he has much of a choice to be honest - I think at this point - Pace will have no trouble coming down. Quite frankly, Jenkins is going to need the full 21 days so I see it more as a moot point because right now him learning from Peters will be good and 21 days from now is a long time in terms of who might get hurt (including Peters who isn't a spring chicken and has typically gotten hurt).
-
Whitehair is not a center - he has proven that on enough instances and they drafted Jenkins to play tackle. I'm playing him there. I am over the Bears and their musical chairs of lines and where guys play. Enough is enough, you have two guards (Whitehair and Daniels - that is where they play). I get it when injuries force a hand but this is not that situation. You also have two young tackles in Borom/Jenkins. When Jenkins is ready, he has to get a spot on the line and the only real question is going to be whether Borom or Jenkins slides to LT and obviously whether either of these guys end up any good.
-
Exactly this - no guarantees and he hasn't had a lot of practice, etc, but just to get that work in would be huge vs. a totally lost season.
-
One note from game: pat Williams was out on court (in cast), but found it interesting he was traveling with the team? Bulls need to sign Boogie and take a shot. Not saying Boogie is any good anymore, but he plays a crappier but similar game to Vuc and would be an upgrade over Bradley or Johnson (in pinch starter roles). Am excited to get White back. I know he will be rusty for first few weeks to a month but especially with Vuc out - you can see how this team needs another scorer and I expect White will be a much better version of himself this year where he will benefit from being around better players and being asked to be in a role I think he is more comfortable with.
-
That was awesome. Bradley was absolutely worthless and they still won. With Vuc they win that by 20 and I thought the refs were trash too tonight. That said - first time my son has ever seen the Bulls win in person and first time I have in a while. Loved it!
