I get that he was hired to be an offensive guru - but I still dont' think he is a terrible head coach - the problem is - you can't have him the HC without at least only getting part of his offense vs. the whole kit and kaboodle. The team plays hard for him and Desai was a great hire. He really is bright and doing great things for the defense. It won't matter - it should all be pretty clear by end of the season. If Fields arrow and the whole offense are pointing up and the team is pretty competitive at that point (not overall record but how they finish) - I think he's back. If Fields is still giong through the motions, etc - I think Pace has another year and will make a pivot to a new HC. We could argue that Pace/Nagy should be a package at this point -> but i don't think that is how the Bears will manage it. I think they like Pace too much to get rid of him after just 1 year of Fields. Bottom line - I think there will be a pretty obvious answer by end of the season (keep or can) re: Nagy. I think with Pace the only way he is gone is if Fields is a total dumpster fire. I still think the Bears should look at moving some pieces and get younger right now -> start to build and tailor roster for Fields and get back some assets you gave up for Fields. Herbert looks like a nice pick up too.

They look like a team on a mission that is just rolling at the moment.

Bears open as 12.5 point dogs for Sunday’s game vs the GOAT. Would be stellar for it to be Fields first 300 and 400 yard passing game with a bunch of Tds.

I laughed at everyone who said - look Bears signed all these fast receivers - they will be good. I was like - those receivers suck, I don't care if they are fast (referring to Goodwin, Byrd and others). I also go back to - Alan Robinson is a good receiver - but Bears have consistently made the right play in not signing him to a big money extension. But yeah - offense is struggling - some of that is on talent, some of that is on young QB play, some is on coaching/scheme too. If they finish the season showing real explosion and real progress...great, everyone can come back. If not, Fields will have a new head coach.

I've said it before - i want to see some special games out of Fields this season. More than just moments. I expect the 2nd half of the season to have its frustrations, but I also expect to see some really fun games. There might be a lot of good special with some bad special in between in a game...but I want to see more and more. I think we will see it.

Iowa qb play has been terrible. New it would evaporate at some point. They are still a very good team - but not a national title contender - never were. Not with the garbage qb they have.

I don’t know what to make about preseason basketball but after a perfect preseason I am fired up for opening tip off!

So what...they lost. They were still a fun team to watch that battled through injuries. Thank you 2021 Sox and I'm hoping for an even better '22!!!

Meanwhile a real franchise used its assets for trea turner and scherzer. That is what you spend your chips on…not a freaking closer when you already have a stud closer.

The funny part is I literally saw it live and when I saw the ump ring him up he looked like he was out of position and barely paying attention. No idea why that can’t be reviewed. Literally none. I still can’t get over that…I mean who knows what could have happened.

So my mom just got a Model 3 - not more than 2 weeks in and she wrecked it (everyone okay). I was there when she took the car - I guess i learned I'm old school in certain ways but I remember telling her are you sure you want this car as they were doing the whole demo (she isn't super old but is still on the older side but can use tech...not great but uses it). The whole look at the center screen for everything (speedometer, lane change assist) is just ass backwards for me. The massive screen is awesome - but I don't quite get why you don't have the gauges or a good heads up display (maybe they have them on more upgraded vehicles...I'm a novice so no idea cause I've never been in the market for one) and it makes no sense why you wouldn't put the little orange lights in the side of the mirrors. I will say when I drove it - the actual car drove really nice and I am sure it is one of those things that once you drive it a few weeks you get used to it. The actual features and what you got for the price were really really good though. I could also see liking the fact that you can do the whole one pedal driving once you adjust to the whole concept of car slows down immediately when you take your foot off the break. Long story short - I think Tesla could be the most amazing car on the planet if they just learned and refined some of the ergonomic / common sense items I mentioned above, which when you combine it with the amazing tech and fact that the car is literally maintenance free (except tires) and I get the hype. I would now say (which is a counter from my many posts) - that I would at least consider one if they had the right SUV for me when I am back in the market in a few years...but the price point on that is not nearly as attractive to me vs. the model 3.

This is the wrong move. Just take the hit now and have the cash flexibility vs getting stuck with Kimbrel. Don’t let the bad move get even worse by sticking locking in that option. Unless Sox think Kimbrel plus Crochet or something along those lines gets you something you really want.

Myer got caught doing what many athletes do on a weekly basis. The worst thing about the Meyer fiasco to me was that he did that instead of getting on the team plane. If he wants to be a shit husband that is his perogative but the only person he hurts with that decision is him/his family.

This. Defense has to make some stops early and offense has to score early. If both of those don’t happen - it turns into a train wreck against the Pack.

That was fun. Running game was strong and they played within themselves. Fields wasn’t great but he made enough plays and protected the football. Defense was stellar.

I still take it. Who knows what will happen. I bet iowa somehow loses a game before the big championship but who knows. Schedule looks good and the d is awesome. I expect oline and ground game will only get better and hopefully qb can make enough plays. Do I think they are the 2nd or 3rd best team in country…no…but I will enjoy the run while it lasts!!!
