PFT Reporting Bears Interested in VET RB
Chisoxfn replied to Chisoxfn's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
Yep, he reported they may trade their 1st round pick, 5th overall too And no thats not a typo. -
Travis Henry, etc via a trade and that then they could target a WR. Makes sense to me, but PFT is a garbage website. Lovie Smith sounded like they wouldn't mind another WR and another RB, but I love how the offense is going to be more of a ball control offense.

Guys, they ain't trading Foppert for Borchard. Foppert had some arm trouble last year but he's fine, probably going to be starting for them this year and he's put up good numbers in the majors and is still quite young. He's a superior player in comparison to Joe Borchard.

QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Mar 23, 2005 -> 07:41 PM) Rex, I didn't even count the players on the big league roster. I just wrote in the players who I thought would make the team. Thanks for that advice though. I'll try to keep it as accurate as possible during the season, but right now it's just so hard to project all those spots. (it would be like trying to guess the NCAA brackets before they came out.) Hey Cheat...we'll talk when I get back from Arizona, but I can set you up if your interested.

Hey, shoot me an email at [email protected] Some of the links still haven't been updated as were still working on the new back end pages since I changed the look of the site. I may not get the email till Monday though because I'm not sure if the hotel were staying at in Arizona will have free wireless internet.

Question for Merkin: Brandon McCarthy has been the talk of spring training thus far, so much so that Bruce Levine speculated that Contreras and El Duque could come up with mysterious injuries so Bmac could break camp with the Sox. Is there any truth to this and how short of a leash will Garland and Contreras be on, considering McCarthy's waiting in the wings.
-
Jesus Mario, talk about using your power for EVIL. Nah I'm just messing with you. I'll have to download it and listen to it on the way out to Arizona on my laptop.
-
Ya, but Hinrich was shooting far better during that span (when he was hurt for whatever reason). But I agree that stat is inflated to benefit Curry, hence the fact I never brought it up while talking about Curry. I just am not big on stats like that. There are so many stats that can prove things one way or another.

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Mar 23, 2005 -> 06:33 PM) Four letters for Jalen. STFU At least he played his ass off, but god is he the whiniest baby.

QUOTE(qwerty @ Mar 23, 2005 -> 06:31 PM) What the fish? They were up by twenty something at the start of the fourth. I think they should be allowed to put some scrubs in there to finish off the game. Donyell also has interest in coming back which is awesome. Rose guaraunteed a win today. I'd love Donyell back in Chicago. He was a good presence when here and is a solid player for what he does. And qwerty...get Gasol without giving any of the nucleus (Curry could be a part of it) and I'm definately down with it.
-
Personally if they are going to get rid of him I'd get Samuel Dalembert and Donyell Marshall. I like Dalembert, although it would be scary offensively. I think the Bulls keep him though and I have no complaints about that because I don't want the Bulls to be a perimeter team on offense. I want a team that has a low post presence because in the playoffs, that is necessary. Although I woudln't cry at all if they got SAR, but I highly doubt that will happen. Plus then who plays center and don't tell me Chandler.
-
QUOTE(qwerty @ Mar 23, 2005 -> 06:21 PM) We would still have presence in the paint. Maybe bot offensively but we would have enough defensively. Trade curry for anything. Sign SAR. We would be upgraded so much. SAR = Sharif?
-
Bulls win on the road by 9. They dominated this one but it could of been better with a strong 4th. Still, no complaints especially since they did it without Hinrich. It was there 8th straight win against the Raptors.
-
QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Mar 23, 2005 -> 06:20 PM) Of course I do, but it's still fun to f***ing around with. I remember the Bulls drafted him out of Florida, traded him. Ok, just making sure and your right. Think if you were a teacher...Bonner, Bonner
-
You do know how they pronounce his name though right?
-
Chandler with a HUGE offensive board and putback. And Qwerty, without Curry the Bulls wouldn't be a playoff team. I could say that about a few guys on the Bulls and he's one of them. ZERO low post presence without him.
-
Ya, but Curry has made some good plays and done a nice job on Bosh. Curry hasn't played bad at all. Your right, not many rebounds but Curry's done his job. Why everyone hates the guy so much I don't know. But he's way better then you guys think he is. I'm not saying he's great, but he's better then you all think he is.
-
QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Mar 23, 2005 -> 06:14 PM) Man if my name was Bonner....God that'd suck so bad Just think if your first name was Viagra...last name Bonner
-
AD just had a huge bucket. Hell qwerty, I think I'm right because the Raptors announcers have been talking about it most of the game how Curry has helped shut down Bosh.
-
Bulls are turning the ball over left and right. And qwerty, maybe I'm wrong, but Curry has been guarding Bosh for the long haul of this game or most of the time I notice he's shifting over. Only shots I've seen Bonner hitting have been wide open kick outs outside (typically on fast breaks).
-
IF you want some info on the Josh Fields the pitcher check out FutureSox.com's archives. We did a story on him as well as a Q&A with him (in which posters here asked him some questions).
-
Bulls were up 20 entering the 4th and the lead is down to 13 with Bonner taking 2 free throws. They are pissing this one away.

QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Mar 23, 2005 -> 05:08 PM) Where are your priorites :headshake Well I did just priceline the hotel for tomorrow through Sunday for spring training Couldn't be happier, staying at the Hyatt for less than it would cost to stay at some of the cheap motels. Seeing the Sox play Sat and Sunday.
