  1. Yep, Skiles brought in 4 from the bench after they were down and it worked well. I'm also glad Hinrich is getting this rest, but hopefully he's ready and back to 100% a few games before playoffs so he can get some warmups.
  2. Cripes...I'm f***ed in my money fantasy league. I lose AK last week, now Curry out today. I'm gonna be in trouble. Luckily I picked up Gasol today and get him starting Thursday but I'm in trouble considering its week 1 of the playoffs. If I lose I'm SOL in terms of money and my team was dominating the past two months.

Just tried it with my name...I think I got the greatest one of all time. Just Do Jason
  4. Ya, I saw for a few minutes and was like, is that Brittany Murphy and than thought to myself that it couldn't be her. I never used to think she was that good looking, but she was looking hot last night.

QUOTE(Cali @ Mar 29, 2005 -> 01:13 PM) Is that not the greatest invention of all recorded human history? No doubt about it
  6. I agree, Sox could use a catching prospect. That or I wouldn't mind seeing them get another middle infielder thats semi advanced.
  7. Burke is superior to Widger. He's a better hitter and better defensively, plus he's Buerhle's personal catcher. I don't have a problem dealing Ben Davis, but if your doing it for Chris Widger I'll pass. And I'm pretty confident he'll be headed to the Dodgers. On a sidenote, the Yankees just traded a pretty damn good arm to the Angels for backup catcher Wil Nieves. They got some guy named Prinz who throws 96 and was a highly thought of closing prospect with the Dbacks a year ago but suffered from a severe groin injury (don't even want to think about how much that must of hurt).
  8. Honestly the more I think about this, the little it makes sense. Widger is nothing but a bum. Yes, he's a solid catcher but Burke did a nice job at the major league level last year and is Buehrle's personal catcher. He also has a lot more familiarity with the staff. If the Sox are dealing Davis, they better have Burke's ass in Chicago cause he's superior to Widger. On a sidenote, I just don't see where this move makes sense, unless they are getting something that can help them.
  9. On a sidenote, I don't want Davis to get traded. He had a good spring and is a solid insurance policy if anything goes wrong with AJ.
  10. QUOTE(JimH @ Mar 30, 2005 -> 09:46 AM) I agree, my guess is the Dodgers as well. If it's just Davis I'm guessing a prospect comes our way. If a relief pitcher is added to the deal, the Sox might add a major league reliever in return. They can't be happy with Politte's performance this spring. I tend to agree with you that Politte could be apart of a package. However, if thats the case I would hope the Sox would pick up a quality reliever. I don't really think the Dodgers have any reliever of that caliber that they would be willing to deal. Heck, there pitching staff is in enough trouble right now with some of there injuries.
  11. Wilson Valdez Claimed; Sox Closer to Final Roster By Jason Gage March 30, 2005 FutureSox.com Wilson Valdez was claimed by the New York Mets on Wednesday after the White Sox tried to send Valdez back to Charlotte. Valdez, who was out of options, had to clear waivers first, before joining the Charlotte Knights. This move all but solidifies Pablo Ozuna’s spot on the roster as a utility man...MORE
  12. I'm gonna throw out the Dodgers once again. They have Jason Phillips but need someone else cause Dave Ross is likely gone and he's there other catcher. I know they like Navarre, but I don't think he's ready.
  13. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Mar 30, 2005 -> 09:30 AM) They are trying to make room for Bmac. They don't want anymore pitchers. McCarthy won't be pitching out of the pen. When he's up he's starting, unless its in September.

Try downloading it on limewire. Usually someone puts up tv episodes somewhere. I recorded it, but its on a DVR.
  15. I don't know if this has been mentioned anywhere cause I was internetless for a few days, but I was watching batting practice down in Tuscon and Frank was swinging the bat taking live BP with the rest of the starters. Timing definately looked off, but he hit a few shots to dead center.
  16. I have 3 of 4 in as well. Duke is the one that got me, but I was pulling for MSU anyway
  17. Sweet story addy and thats one badass t-shirt you got now.
  18. Holy s***, Duke would of been stacked had Deng stayed and Livingston/Dwight Howard not made the jump.
  19. Awesome story. That had to be flat out insane Brian. Hell, I'm not even an Illini fan and I found myself cheering for them, for the big 10 and I was going nuts as they cut the game. My dad was saying how it was over and the whole weekend I was right on in my prediction. I kept telling him, Illinois had one run left and they would tie it at one point...sure enough they did. I'm pulling for an all Big 10 final. Of course my original pick of Ill-UNC still stands. Have fun at the 4 guys, that should be a freaking BLAST.
  20. QUOTE(Jabroni @ Mar 27, 2005 -> 11:17 PM) "Is Contreras a big tipper? Coach says batters knew what he'd throw in drubbing" http://chicagosports.chicagotribune.com/sp...tesox-headlines Ya, 1st inning I was able to point out to my dad whenever he was throwing the breaking pitch. Well most of the time. Oh ya, did I mention he sucked. Hell the entire White Sox looked pathetic minus Neal Cotts and Dustin Hermanson. Of course I only saw two games. Some other guys looked solid too, none of them being pitchers.
  21. Sounds like it was a cool show guys. I'm gonna have to check it out tomorrow. Just got back from seeing the Sox look AWFUL down in Tuscon. By all means you all are more then welcome to come back and talk about more shows. I'll shoot you an email tomorrow as well once I get resituated from being computerless for a few days. Thanks for giving Soxtalk.com some shoutouts as well.
  22. Ya, Malones supposed to be pitching already. Ryan Rod basically to me is a clone (status wise) to Haigwood so he definately should be on there.

Just calm down everyone. This site is quite good and I think everyone here gets along. Sometimes I delete posts, sometimes I edit them. Depends on what the situation is. If its a string of attacks with two people going back and forth, I'm gonna hit the delete button. If its a poster saying or typing something inaprorpiate in a post and its just a one time deal, I'll just edit it out so the rest of the post stays and then tell them. Simply put often times people may post something and not think its offensive based on content and it may bother people. Its basically intent and 99% of the time people aren't intending to cause problems or anything like that. We understand that and just slide that part out. By the way it may be my house, but the mods and admins all do a heck of a job running it and all the posters here do a great job keeping this place great. Really, they make it easy for us and if people ever disagree on things and a good contingent does most of the time we'll change it or get things done to fix the problem.
