It was funny too, because it was after what I'd call the most ugly offensive quarter this season (well not quite that bad, but it was ugly). Luckily they held the Raptors to like 18% shooting. Having a good 2nd quarter though.

Actually I had no idea about the bulemia. And my problem isn't with him having another life. If I'm on my death bed with only some shot at a recovery, I wouldn't want my family or wife or whoever waiting around for me. If I had a shot at recovering I'd like them to care for me and be there, but at the same time they can and better move on with there lives. Just like when I die, I don't want people all sad at the funeral crying. I want them talking about how great I was, LOL.

QUOTE(danman31 @ Mar 23, 2005 -> 02:09 PM) Yeah, but he couldn't hit a shot to save his life. He also got stuffed by the rim on a dunk. Ya, I was laughing my ass off when he bricked that dunk at the end of the game. I'm hoping someone gives him s*** for it in class tomorrow.

QUOTE(Steff @ Mar 23, 2005 -> 03:11 PM) Two sides to every story Jason... Yes, but its his attitude. Put it this way, my wifes dying. I'm sure we've had a talk. If she's a vegetable and had no choice, maybe you pull the plug. But you'd be sad about it and you wouldn't be interferring with the doctors who actually have had some hope that she would recover. As far as I'm concerned, if I have a shot at recovering I don't want the plug pulled on me, if I'm a vegetable for life, I'd probably say pull the plug. But this husband is a royal jag. He did everything possible to hinder her recovery, and was hoping she'd just die. I'd be damn sad and it would be a hard thing. I wouldn't just show up at the hospital going, Is She dead yet. I heard enough after hearing her nurse and some of her doctors talk. I think the other side of the story is that the prick husband did something to cause her condition. If these guy came off as sad saying he just didn't want to see her like this anymore with pain, etc I'd have a better feeling about it. But everything I hear is she has some semblance of where she is and smiles and kind of understands whats going on. Plus they think there is a shot she could recover. Not to mention the husband did all he could to interfere with the recovery. And just think, this is coming from me, the person who thought Scott Peterson should in no way be guilty based on evidence. For whatever reason I feel real strongly about this too. Still its awful that this is being handled in a public forum (the parents and husband fighting).

QUOTE(Texsox @ Mar 23, 2005 -> 03:05 PM) I tried to verify this without success. Does anyone know if a Doctor recommended pulling the feeding tube and the husband agreed, or he ordered the feeding tube removed? My understanding is all the Doctors that have cared for her have recommend keeping her feeding tube in or voiced no opinion. It is the husband who is pushing to end her life. I don't know if this would change anyones opinion, I rather doubt it. Steff, I truly wish she had been explicit in writing down her wishes in this situation. I'm with you in that there is probably no hope and passing peacefully would be a compassionate thing. The way this is happening, there will be three victims. I can't get past allowing her husband (and him specifically) this life or death decision. Tex thats the way I understand it as well. Personally I think the husband is a royal asshole and I think the parents should be able to get some say in whether the feeding tube is removed. From the sounds of it whenever she would make process in the rehab the husband would basically tell the nurses and doctors to stop and do what he could to prevent her from getting better. No one that cared for a person would do that. This isn't her being a vegetable, this is her with an opportunity of getting better. Nowhere did he ever act as if this is a difficult situation. Instead he'd go into the hospital and ask if she was dead already, etc. The husband = JAGOFF

How be damn, you really can't see whose in different forums. Only whose online and whose in the topic. I'll change it back when we get the new server. I'm guessing Kap or Heads removed the feature to alleviate some pressure from the current server.

To be honest I have no idea. I don't think any of us touched anything. I know I can see the users that are reading the topic.

It'll be up. I should have internet connection out in Arizona. I was sick all weekend (had a horrid cough) so that kept me out of getting the next set up while Dan was busy over the weekend. Look for it in the next 1-2 days.

Anderson and Sweeney Sent to Minor League Camp By Jason Gage March 23, 2005 FutureSox.com Tuscon, AZ - The Chicago White Sox reassigned top prospects Brian Anderson and Ryan Sweeney to minor league camp. The move wasn't a surprise as neither were competing for starting spots, rather, they were getting an opportunity to show the coaching staff what they are capable of doing...MORE

Not a bad pickup. He's very quick, has solid hands and in my opinion is a definate indication that the Bears are leaning to RB in the 1st round. Definately a good addition to the WR core.

That'll be sweet Cheat. Tell me if you need help with some of the lower level stuff cause I can put you in conact with some people or I can contact them. Sometimes its tough, especially for the rookie level teams. And if you wouldn't mind, I'd love giving you credit for that and putting it up on FS as well

QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Mar 22, 2005 -> 09:11 PM) It is a little late, but still worthy. Wily Mo Pena, 2004(24 years old) - .259 26 HR 66 RBI 5 SB .316 OBP, 527 SLG, .843 OPS, 22 BB, 108 K in 110 games, 358 PA's Sammy Sosa, 1993(24 years old) - .261 33 HR 93 RBI 36 SB, .309 OBP, .485 SLG, .794 OPS, 38 BB, 135 K in 159 games, 636 PA's Surprise, surprise, I have seen him compared to Samme before. And you wonder why any team wouldn't want him. Umm, if he puts up Sosa like numbers I'd gladly take Pena. I'm talking about that few year run Sosa had where he was the best or one of the best offensive players in baseball. This is ego aside. But if the Sammy Sosa from 98 was still around I'd take him on the sox any day of the week. As much as I hate the assclown he was amazing during that run.

QUOTE(danman31 @ Mar 22, 2005 -> 08:32 PM) And #3 on Fullerton thinks he's good, but blows. Nah, Bobby Brown is pretty damn good. Insanely fast, takes a lot of shots though. Fullerton was really out of it on offense without Ralphy Holmes. Let to tons of turnovers and piss poor shot selection. Put it this way, Brown is way cocky and thinks he's the s***, but at the same time he's about as good as it gets in terms of offensive quickness. The guy can break down about anyone, at least in the big west (not that it says much, LOL).

No no no qwerty..Harington is a must bring back. The guy has been tremendous for the Bulls...absolutely tremendous. Definately one of the best role players in the league if you ask me. I was so damn wrong in regards to him earlier in the year.

Bryant is a great guy. I don't have the transcript but I can post the story that I wrote based on it if you want. I gotta go dig it up in the old archive. Class act though, wish him nothing but the best.

I'd recommend the Rio. Its always rated one of the best hotels in Vegas. Its a good deal, nice rooms, nice casino, good club there. Only drawback is that its offstrip. Nice hotel though, definately recommend it. Awesome buffet too.

QUOTE(Steff @ Mar 22, 2005 -> 02:58 PM) He's gotta ask her out somewhere to ask her to go... right? I would not recommend bringing flowers to school.. I dunno, for senior prom where I was everyone would pretty much ask them out at school. Some people would make it extravicant and put rose pedals all over the persons car or make a path of rose pedals and have her friend lead them over to where you are. Simply put Doug, make sure your showered, looking nice, and go up to her with confidence. Just be nice, ask her what she's doing for prom and if she's going. If she doesn't have a date ask her if she'd be interested in going as friends. If she says maybe, tell her the two of you could go for lunch or something and get to know each other a little better. Roses are a good touch too. Oh ya, don't ask her out around friends, make sure she's alone...it will make it easier for you.
