Clinton sleeps on floor so Bush can use bed
My guess is that they all realize just how difficult being the president is. The hopes and failures of a nation are put upon one individual who is no more superhuman then any of us. Afterwards, they may disagree on politics, but they all know just how tough of a job it is and must have the upmost respect for each other.

Bears Sign Fred Miller
The only guy Minny would move up to get would be Braylon. I think the Vikes will surprise everyone and draft Antrelle Rolle, but thats just me.

Baseball America top 100
I think typically you figure that they'll fluctuate a bit. Like the Angels and Weaver aren't that far apart, but the Angels spent a lot on the draft already and obviously decided that spending at much money is too risky and that they would be better off reinvesting extra in this years draft (draft a few highly touted guys that slip, kind of like they did last year) and go from there. In Drew's case I don't really know what he's asking for. My guess is 5-6 mill bonus. Either would be worth that, imo. Drew is gonna be a hell of a player as is Weaver. If both re-enter and they are around when the Sox pick, I'd take my chances on either.

Borchard earns an extra $100
Best acquisition of the offspeed in my book. And if they end up signing him longer this offseason, I'm gonna own his jersey. Him, Konerko and Buehrle are my favs.

Around The Majors
Mauer will move to 3rd. Mark my words on that. At the same time its kind of crappy because Mauer has all the ability to be one of the best catchers of all time. It will never happen though. My guess is he will be playing 3rd base sometime this year.

bulls vs. bucks
QUOTE(qwerty @ Mar 7, 2005 -> 08:02 PM) 7 turnovers is unacceptable no matter what position you play. Center more so than any other position in my opinion. Seven rebounds in 36 minutes? He should easily have 10+. Only 16 points against a team that has no inside presence is pretty sad to me. But as you know i am a big fan of curry's. Ya, I was just judging it on the minutes so I'm assuming he was doing something right today (maybe defense???). I didn't see EC play. The turnovers as usual are ugly. Him and Gordon both piss the hell out of me in that regard. The thing I can't figure out is for a stretch this year Curry was actually playing solid defense. I really don't know what happened, but since the Bulls defense has taken a drop I think you can singlehandedly put a lot of it on EC getting sloppy and having poor footwork. You have to admit though, the 7 rebounds were an improvement, LOL. But yes two things stick out in regards to EC, the rebounds and the turnovers. Offensively he is quite good and regardless of what Skiles says, he can create his own shot. However, he does struggle against anyone with more size then him.

Harris the Super Sub
I swear to god if they just trade him for some AAA roster fodder I will be so damn pissed. Willie is gonna play a vital role on this team, mark my words. Not only that, but one day he will be one of the best leadoff men in baseball. And if I were another teams GM, I'd be trying to steal Willie away and I hope to hell Kenny doesn't fall for it. If he does, it will echo the Kip Wells deal, imo, and bite the Sox in the ass.

bulls vs. bucks
Did Curry play well? I noticed 7 turnovers but he also had 7 rebounds and 16 points and played 36 MINUTES. So I'm guessing he had a solid game. On a sidenote, tonight Shaq had 0 rebounds in 26 minutes.

4 point lead...Duhon sinks 1st. 5 point lead...Duhon sinks 2nd He also got a double double. 5 point game and this one is over with Thats a Bulls win. 90-85

bulls vs. bucks
Plus a technical foul on the Bucks head coach. Hinrich makes the tech free throw. Duhon just needs to make one of these.

bulls vs. bucks
OMG, I get home from midterm turn game on Noc misses free throw but Chandler tips it back and Bulls get it. Duhon at the line with a 2 point lead and 5.2 seconds left. Come on Duhon, 2 for 2 right here and this one is over.

Cool idea Gene. As far as Miller goes, the guy is a stud. Throws absolute GAS.

Bears Sign Fred Miller
QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Mar 7, 2005 -> 03:45 PM) Mel Kiper said he has the Bears taking Cedric Benson taken by the Bears with the 4th and that if he has a better workout than R. Brown, then they could flip-flop(either one is good for me). Here's his board as he sees it. 1)Alex Smith 2)Ronnie Brown 3)Aaron Rodgers 4)Cedric Benson 5)don't remember I've kind of agreed with Kip for a while. He's long been the one mentioning Brown/Benson in regards to the Bears and I think he's gonna be right. Regardless with them, Braylon, Williams or Antrelle I will be very happy on draft day I think all of them are definate blue chippers.

Bears Sign Fred Miller
QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Mar 7, 2005 -> 03:45 PM) Yeah that's what I meant. But as it stands now, I wouldn't burn a 2nd on a K when we don't pick again till the 4th. Nor would I. I'd look at the Bears going RB or LB in the 1st round although you can't count Braylon out. He's gonna be a stud. Then in the 2nd I'd guess they would target Roscoe Parrish or Williamson. Both are speedy WR's but who knows if Williamson will be there. I've seen him projected mid 1st all the way to mid 2nd. His 40 times were some of the best at the combine too, which will help him. Roscoe is essnetially an inch taller version of Santana Moss.

Bears Sign Fred Miller
QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Mar 7, 2005 -> 03:09 PM) They still could take Alex Smith, tough to tell. As crazy as it sounds if the bears could somehow get a 3rd rounder, I would consider Nungent. If the Bears had a 3rd rounder, I'd take Nugent in the 2nd round, because no way will he be there in RD 3. So if a trade down comes up with a team like Minny and they get an extra 2nd rounder you could bet the Bears nab someone like Benson or Cadillac (one will be there at 7, if not both) or go the lines of Mike Williams who would definately be there. Then Nugent in the 2nd. Nugent is gonna get picked high. I don't know if Grammatica is still out there but I think he's a FA and may not be a bad pickup. I know he got waived last year by the Bucs and was then picked up by the Colts, but he just had some mental issues and is still a hell of a kicker, imo.

Frank Reports
Also by the looks of the end of that article, Frank will be here again next year since its his option and then the Sox option to buy out and there is no way Thomas will turn down 10 mill a year. The only way he would was if the Sox led by JR sat down with Thomas and his reps and worked out like a 3 yr 18 mill deal or something and the only way they do that is if Thomas has a good year, which I think he will.

Sox vs San Francisco
QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Mar 7, 2005 -> 03:05 PM) Ballgame. Anderson grounds out to 2B to end the game. For those of you just checking in: Borchard with a good game, 2HR Valdez with a good game, 2 singles, SB, and solid glove work. It was great to here Hawk and see the guys in action. Not too happy with the result, but it was a blast. Here's to 20 more in ST! Oh nice, maybe Borchard comes through this year...may be

Bears Sign Fred Miller
QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Mar 7, 2005 -> 03:01 PM) Whose gonna wanna trade down with Minny? If the Vikes want to give up there 1st and there 2nd and a 3rd, I'd hope to hell the Bears would move on down

Sleeper Prospects 2005
QUOTE(danman31 @ Mar 3, 2005 -> 01:50 PM) Haigwood isn't as underappreciated as you think. If Jason would get the top 25 out, you'll see he made the list. Lol, thats cause we all know I'm a huge Haigwood fan. I think him and Rodriguez stand at simliar points and both would be my sleeper picks as well. Hell, I have so many it would be a new pick every day. Also, I think you'll see Donny Lucy produce.

2004-05 Sox's Minor League Free Agents
If Blakely is the guy I'm thinking of, he is a real funny guy. Can't comment on his playing but he was hillarious around the clubhouse.
