5 mill was cheap from Kobe's perspective, imo.

Oh man, funny ass picture. And Kip, don't be shocked if you like O'Reilly. As far as I'm concerned he does a lot to just try and be unbiased so to speak. I enjoy the show but sometimes I think hes so freaking wrong. I only watch this stuff on ocassion though because if you watch everyday during a week you basically hear the same crap over and over. Oh ya, and Greta on FoxNews is absolutely god awful. My life would be complete if I never had to see another glimse of her awful show. I had how all she focuses on is the stupid trials in america. Who gives a rat ass about all these celebrity trials???? I sure as hell don't.

Geeze, I bashed my school a lot, but in reality I can't complain. It set me up to exceed in life and while it, like all schools, has its problems, its nowhere like what your describing Mike. Really sucks to see the place you've grown up in fall apart because people are looking at numbers and quotas in regards to graduation numbers and not making sure high school does what its supposed. My long argument if I ever took over the educational system would not be to piss more money into the system but to restructure it more in the way of Europe or even parts of Asia where its simply a building block to the next step whether that be trade schools or college. I'm sick of the crap being fed down every kids throat that they all need to go to an ivy league school to be sucessful or whatever. I went to a state school and as of now there are jobs all over the place for me to get. Hell school needs to get back on teaching people and making sure that students at the end of the semester have learned things that they will need later on. Obviously you got to teach some of that retarded boring stuff that interests some and not others, but still, people have to be gaining something out of it and of course the parents have to be involved in there kids lives as well. Luckily where I live most of the parents actually give a damn and I think that helps. When parents are volunteering and putting in effort then the teacher isn't stuck alone in a sense.

No 6-7 mill is the number without the money thats set aside for the rookie so thats 6-7 mill to spend on FA's. However, Gold is nowhere near a 4 mill a year linebacker, plus the Bears can't tie up that much money. I'm not saying Gold wouldn't be a good pickup but the Bears have to be smart with that money. Vet OT, vet WR, vet QB. Thats the three needs and you can also include vet OLB on that list, however, they may fill that need with Johnson. At the same time, if they pick up all these spots, it all but guarantees Ronnie Brown/Ced Benson in Chicago.

I wouldn't count out Willie yet. He's gonna be a good major leaguer.

The only other option would be for us to change the draft to like an AIM draft and then I can enter in everyones picks. However I'll look in the tools and see if I can make it where certain guys can't get picked or something.

I bet she got a whole hell of a lot of money.

QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Mar 1, 2005 -> 10:32 PM) Popemobile Honda Element Hey, I didn't say it was my favorite car in the world, but for 2000 bucks...thats another story But no, in my mind they are one of the nastier cars out there. They can do some cool things though.

Zo will be a good addition for the Heat.

I'm still royally sucking ass at hitting. However, I was able to get my first double digit hit performance, but I failed to score any runs, LOL. I did a fantastic job hitting into 7 double plays and then getting myself thrown out twice at the plate, haha. I even cut every freaking player that makes any money to get my team on budget to make 17 million in the first year. They better cause I'll need that money to make my minor league stadium bigger. I still can't buy myself a hotdog stand.
-
On a sidenote qwerty, I have absolutely zero idea why were talking about 4 or 5 missed freethrows. Regardless it was a s***ty game, haha. And I think "Curries" gonna be the man
-
Seems like a worthwhile minor league investment. Obviosly he's a project, but he's got a good arm and this is after not pitching in a couple years.

QUOTE(qwerty @ Mar 1, 2005 -> 10:27 PM) All over ta game thread i am reading they said he missed four in a row. Then one person said he missed five. I am pretty confused. Well since i couldn't get you on that ''curries? Wtf, that is something i would say. Trust me on this. I was swearing up a storm. He missed two, one of which he freaking shot what the Houston announcer claimed as the ugliest free throw he's ever seen. Outdoing Wilt the Stilt and Shaq. Then he got fouled again, missed another two. Then about two minutes later he got fouled on a surefire dunk by Juwan Howard, went back to the line and missed his 5th in a row. The announcer said something along the lines of now its just in between the ears. He finally made the 6th and it was his 15th point of the night. He scored 2 more the rest of the night. If you look at Eddy's shots you'll also notice that he made two more free throws after that point, finishing 9 of 14 form the line and like I said, he was 7-12 when he finally broke the strung and he started the game 6 of 6.

QUOTE(Texsox @ Mar 1, 2005 -> 04:48 PM) I'm a big fan of CPAs and Lawyers. I am not a big fan of a "book keeper" who charges 500 dollars to send out 25 invoices, balance the checkbook, and send out payroll. I can cut the invoices in under an hour a month total, balance a checkbook is a breeze with Quickbooks, and payroll services for small businesses are dirt cheap now. The key is working with a CPA before getting too far down the road. This business is going to be a challenge based on some current situations. My wife, son, and daughter will be helping at various times. I am starting to think about the tax implications of paying my son versus a big, jumbo, allowance. Doesn't every kid get a $200 per week allowance? Tex, I'd definately get a tax guy just to help plan things out. A good tax planner can really help you save a lot of money and he can do it again when it comes to filing taxes and makes sure you get the most out of your itemized deductions.

QUOTE(kapkomet @ Mar 1, 2005 -> 09:11 AM) CPA's are good Tex (shameless plug here) Seriously, if a CPA can't save you what you pay them, they're not the best CPA. Sometimes, a CPA can give you ideas that generate enough money to triple what you pay them over a year. Couldn't say that more. If someones running a complicated business and they want to do there own taxes, odds are unless they are a genius of tax code, they would save a lot more going to a good CPA. However, Quickbooks, like Tex says, basically does what a bookkeeper does. I just set up a quickbooks system at our office thats semi complicated simply because of all the accounts and we programed some middlewear stuff to apply to the industry we are in. But its basically got rid of the part time bookkeeper and my god is it more efficient and the data is superior simply because the system is built right. Just make sure you get everything set up right from the get go, otherwise it can be a pain in the ass.

If thats what its advertised as, I'd just show up and buy because thats a freaking steal for a 2003 Element. Just see what they say. Even if it were totaled out they'd be selling it for more then that. Plus dealerships don't sell totaled out cars. Trust me, its a mistake, but you never know what could happen so call and ask them. If its the price I'd buy the thing and then put it back up and sell it for more.

QUOTE(sox4lifeinPA @ Mar 1, 2005 -> 08:13 PM) I found an online add for a 2003 Honda Element for $1,999.00 I know what you're thinking, what's wrong with it? well, it's from a dealer, so I'm assuming nothing because it's listed along with a few others at higher prices. I'm thinking that they've mistyped this and made a mistake. my question: if nothing in fact is wrong with this vehicle, do they have to sell that vehichle at that price?? discuss Nope, when its a misquote they aren't forced to do it. I know some stores have even mis priced something on there online catalogue and people have bought the stuff and while many stores will honor those that bought it as the mistaken price, they also can tell them not to.

QUOTE(qwerty @ Mar 1, 2005 -> 10:16 PM) Four. No, he missed 4 and then he went back to the line on a foul and missed a 5th and then put the 6th one in. He walked away from the line and was like FINALLY. Started 6 for 6 and then was 6 for 11 and then 7 for 12.

Technically I just learned that Fox Sports offers this type of thing to. I guess they have like Fox College Sports South, West and like midwest or something. Saw the commercial today. I think I have the channels and never knew what they were, but I remember being able to watch some SEC baseball games on it last year.
-
Cant say I didn't tell people so. I didn't like this match up and remembered that asswhooping the Rockets sent the Bulls last time around too. They flat out kicked the piss out of the Bulls and minus Curries string of 5 missed free throws, he actually played pretty solid and gasp, made effort on a couple rebound attempts (it really stood out and shocked me, LOL). Garbage, piece of crap game though. I turned that crap off early in the 2nd half.

QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Mar 1, 2005 -> 05:19 PM) Kelly's pretty much a lock to head back to Cleveland anyways, even if they draft a QB which is doubtful. Reports are that him and the Browns are pretty heated right now in terms of negotiations. The next week will give a better answer, imo.

Nevermind Kap, its boz that still has to register. Actually I've yet to hear back from him with a yes or no so I don't know if he's interested. I'll catch him on aim, if not, there will be one opening and we'll quickly add someone.

For those that don't have keepers, make sure you give me your names and I'll find a way to do the draft for you. Basically go through and make your personal rankings and list them somewhere between 1-4 the guys you plan on keeping. For those, and there are a few that don't have keepers, you'll have access to start drafting from the get go, but you cna't grab anyone on the list of keepers. So Steff, just go in and prerank yours with Ray Durham #1, then for the rest go with whoever and I will ask that once I have everyones keepers posted that you make sure to put hte other keepers at the very bottom of your list. After Round 4 it will be a free for all. And Kap get your butt signed up, I think your the only one who hasn't.
