a couple interesting notes
Ya, but I think just having him play their a few games is all he needs a week. I think it was the fact that he would go a month without playing first base that made him start double thinking his hitting.

Frank Thomas 400 HRs
I think Bagwell needs to at least get 450 before he's a sure fire hall of famer in all honesty. I don't have his numbers in front of me though. I know he's been an amazing run producer though. Its just to me, in this offensive era, its going to be a lot harder to get a hitter into the hall of fame. Well its going to take some pretty impressive numbers. Thomas was the best in his era for a while. Baggs has always been good, never the best, so I think he needs another couple years. The question is whether he will be healthy enough. If he retired today, I'd say it would be borderline if he gets in. Just my 2 cents though.

I wouldn't play him everyday. PK is the better defender. I think having Thomas play consistently 2 to 3 times a week should be enough to keep his mind fresh. Neither of them have good range and Thomas is a fine fielding first baseman, but when it comes to turning the double play from first, no one does it like Paulie.

Cornejo 9 outs away
It would be like if one of us was an analyst on baseball tonight, we'd cover the White Sox more because it was our team of interest, but also because we would have the most knowledge about that team. I know when going over the highlights I'd want to have a little more discussion over the team. Gammons wants to do the same, but I do think he knows quite a bit about whats going on. The one guy I really don't like hearing is Brantley and the guy played baseball. I just don't think he watches many of the games.

Right now I think its better playing Konerko the majority of the time at first base. I also heard that Thomas had a knee injury and requested to be the DH for a bit. I'd probably play Thomas at 1st 2 days a week, Konerko 4 days a week and Daubber one day a week.

Series Preview: Cleveland Indians
Series Preview: Cleveland Indians By Alex Ernst July 21, 2003 SoxNet.net The way the White Sox season has gone, this series, like every other from here on out, is of high importance. The key three-game series against the Royals is coming soon so the Sox need to get within striking distance and gain momentum starting here. Opponent: Cleveland Indians Record: 41-57, .418, Fourth Place, 14 GB (AL Central) Place: U. S. Cellular Field Time & TV: Game 1: 7:05 p.m. (WCIU); Game 2: 1:05 p.m. (WGN) 2002 Record vs Sox: 10-9 2003 Record vs Sox: 8-6 THE LATEST The Cleveland Indians are coming off of a four-game sweep at the hands of the new York Yankees and have only won one of their last seven games. Milton Bradley leads the team with a .320 average, while Matt Lawton leads in the power department with 15 homers and 47 RBIs. However, Lawton is on the disabled list, so Casey Blake and Jody Gerut will be the ones to watch out for. Cleveland’s starting rotation has been suspect most of the year as they have had ten different starters this year. C.C. Sabathia leads the rotation in wins with 8, but he misses the Sox in this short series. When the game gets into the later innings, Cleveland can depend on Dan Miceli and Carl Sadler with their sub-2.00 ERAs. Danys Baez leads the team with 21 saves, but he also six blown saves. WHO'S HOT (Last 7 days) Coco Crisp, RF: .375, 1 2B, 1 3B, 1 RBI, 1 BB --Crisp is the best candidate on this team for the hottest player, but no one really deserves this title. Cleveland has been getting drubbed as of late. Crisp was just not getting drubbed as bad as everyone else. WHO'S NOT (Last 7 days) Ryan Ludwick, OF: . 100, 1 hits, 4 K --Ludwick was just acquired for outfielder Shane Spencer, and since being called up recently, he has yet to perform like a major leaguer. PITCHING PROBABLES Game #1: Mike Porzio (0-1, 4.76, 6 K) vs. Terry Mulholland (1-2, 4.36, 20 K) / Brian Tallet (0-1, 3.77 ERA) --It is unclear who is going to be going up against Porzio in this game. First it was Billy Traber, than Brian Tallet, then it was officially given to Terry Mulholland and then back to Tallet. With that, it is a duo of five-and-out lefty starters anyway you look at it. One problem, Tallet is someone new to the Sox, and we all know what happens in these cases. Game #2: Bartolo Colon (6-9, 4.36, 101 K) vs. Jason Davis (7-7, 4.54, 61 K) --Davis has been consistent in most of his starts so far this year, including a strong seven-inning performance against the Sox earlier. He has been striking out more batters as of late, but he has also given up numerous homers. On the Sox side of the table, Colon has looked weak and very beatable of late, making this a very important start for him. KEY TO THE SERIES Carry the momentum from the last three games of the Tigers series. If the Sox can play like they did in the late innings of Saturday’s game, and the entire game on Sunday, they can come out with a sweep.

What the Sox line-up should be
My Lineup vs Righties would be Alomar Rowand Thomas Magglio Everett Konerko Jose Crede Olivo I'd trade Carlos to add pitching Ocassionally against righties I'd have Harris in instead of Rowand. If that were the case then Harris would leadoff with Alomar in the 2 hole. Also, on ocassion Daubach would play instead of Everett, Konerko, or Thomas and in that case I'd have Everett in the 6 hole. Against Lefties Graffy Rowand Thomas Ordonez Everett Konerko Alomar or Valentin Crede Olivo/Alomar If Alomar begins to hit lefties better then he'd be playing everday and I'd have him in the 2 hole or leadoff spot with Graffy behind him or infront of him. Daubach could still ocassionally spell Everett in this situation as well.

4-0 KC.
GAME OVER. Beltran blasts it out in Center.

Prior has a sore arm
Ya, I just realized that, lol. Why don't I continue that with that there is now one out with the Royals hitting and Rhodes is pitching
-
4-0 KC.
He went down looking. Mariners are playing like the Sox have so many times.
-
Prior has a sore arm
Cameron whiffs looking.
-
4-0 KC.
Cirillo weakly pops it up to Ken Harvey in foul territory (1st base) and there are now two outs with Mike Cameron at the plate. Come on Mike, imagine that Wilson is Jim Parque
-
Prior has a sore arm
All those pitches definately have an effect. Prior is so young that his arm isn't fully developed yet and thats why you dont want him throwing a ton of pitches. As he gets older and his body is more used to it and done growing, then you can extend him more. Baker is f'in up those pitchers.
- 4-0 KC.
-
4-0 KC.
Jeff Cirillo is due up and Kris Wilson is coming in. This is his first game since July 11th. Pena did not get ejected. I thought both are supposed to get ejected.
-
4-0 KC.
Grimsley is ejected (Their was a warning in the 2nd inning) after the batter was ejected. Tony Pena is going nuts. This is bulls***. Why the hell would Grimsely throw at a guy in extra innings and two runners on. Plus it was a 1-2 Count. Bases Juiced though.
-
4-0 KC.
They went for a new pitcher I think cause theres a commercial right now.
-
Frank Thomas 400 HRs
I just want the Sox to go up and get good swings and play smart baseball against Mullhulland.
-
4-0 KC.
Guzman makes an unbelievable play to get the force out at 2nd and the Twins sweep the A's.
-
4-0 KC.
Dee Brown is retired so the Mariners-Royals game will go extra innings. Chavez pops out in center. Now 2 outs with runners on 1st and 2nd and Eric Byrnes at the plate. Come on Byrnes
-
4-0 KC.
McCarty gets an infield single. Singleton will pinch run for McCarty. Guaraddo fielded a swinging butn but had no play. Runners on 1st and 2nd with one out and Eric Chavez at the plate.
-
4-0 KC.
Two outs now in the Royals game and Dee Brown will pinch hit for Carlos Febles.
-
4-0 KC.
One out now with no one on in the Royals game. 2-2 count to McCarthy right now with a runner on first and one out. (A's-Twins Game)
-
4-0 KC.
Oakland has a runner on first with one out. David McCarty is at the plate.
