  1. Loaiza strikes out Kevin Witt (One down runner on 2nd). Carlos Pena at the plate. ss2k3, never heard the distance, but it had to be around 440.
  2. On Dmitri's double the ball got stuck in the fence and Maggs had to pick it out of there.
  3. A few weeks ago it was Buehrle now him. Is Koch next? Colon is next. Koch is never. Sox could use the two of them back.
  4. He can still get it 94 or so, so if he can imrpove his secondary pitches and fix his mechanics up, then I think he could be sucessful. Dmitri Young has a leadoff double.
  5. Still, Koch, Marte, and Gordon....Thats NASTY if they are all on
  6. Jose does what he does best, a high pop up and he's gone. Inning over put the Sox score 2 runs. 4-0 Sox
  7. A few weeks ago it was Buehrle now him. Is Koch next?
  8. Crede goes with an outside pitch and hits it to the 2nd baseman who turns the DP. Lee to 3rd. Now we have OLE OLE OLE (Aka Jose)
  9. Konerko rips a single and its 4-0 Sox with runners on 1st and 2nd. Now we get Mean Joe Crede at the plate . Come on Joe, think short-compact swing
  10. Carlos pops it up to the catcher, but the catcher(wallbeck) and Pena collide so Carlos gets another chacne. Come on Carlos, get Maggs to 3rd, otherwise your at bat is a failure. YeSSS, Carlos with a squib single (Maggs had to wait to see if the ball was catchable) and we got runners on 1st and 3rd for my favorite PK, Paulie Konerko
  11. How good would the rotation look with him here.
  12. Maggs rips it down the line and it paints the chalk (left field line at the track) and Maggs was almost caught spectating (As DJ said) and he was almost gunned down at 2nd. Great play by Dmitri, Sox got lucky. Damn that was close. Maggs, nice hit, but next time hustle.
  13. How up to date is your Kip stat thing on your sig. I'm wondering how he only has 7 decisions. He must get a lot of games blown because of his relief.
  14. Frank rips one way back to left center and it was about 15 rows back. Thats number 398 and its 3-0 SOX

Neither. Wagner still throws 98 MPH or so while Hoffman was always a changeup-fastball pitcher and he never depended on a hard fastball. He was at his prime 94 MPH and now is 90 and I've never heard anything about that. I'd love to see Koch become as good as Wagner or Hoffman though.
  16. Alright, I'm letting you take over
  17. Top of the 3rd -Matt Walbeck rips it right back to Esteban who snags it -Santiago walks -Alex Sanchez drops a bunt and Loaiza just gets him out. Santiago advances to 2nd -Groundout to the shortstop on a nice outside pitch by Loaiza ends the inning. To the bottom of the 3rd 2-0 Sox
  18. Once again I zone out and miss what Rowand did. Anyone else interested in giving updates I suck at these things. Cause I'm not in front of the tv.
  19. Big West baseball is what its about. Fullerton and Long Beach State. Give it up! You might have an argument if you wanna bring up Big 12 baseball. I'm just saying its one of the best baseball conferences out their and it gets no credit. UC RIverside is building a pretty good program too. And Mark my words, UC Irvine will become a powerhouse baseball program. Either way Fullerton and Beach have two of the best programs in the country. Your right though, SEC is the best. I'd take the Big West over the Pac10 though.
  20. First two guys on the Sox get out. Olivo got out popping up to first base, not sure how Jose got out. Graffy rips a double down the 3rd base line, just out of reach of the diving Eric Munson. Come on Rowand, two out basehit!!!!!

Hoffman doesn't throw 99, but you have a very valid point. Foulke is basically a Hoffman clone. In his hay day Hoffman could hit 94, but for the past 4 years or so he's been around 89-90. What I've noticed with Foulke this year, is he greatly improved his other pitches. He doesn't throw the changeup near as much. He's been throwing more curves and more sliders. I'm thinking he'll walk and try to start somewhere. He has enough money and I think he wants to see if he can do it.
  22. I wouldn't of minded picking up Williams and trying to turn him around. He is a good reliever or at least he always has been. I haven't watched enough Pirate games to say what is wrong with him though.
