  1. D'uh? We are going to lose 6 prospects, of course we slide back a little. I was disappointed all the mentioned was Borch though, when guys like Cotts, Reed, and Wing have been much bigger surprises and have rocketed up the charts 6 prospects, two of which weren't very much prospects (Salvo and Almonte) and it may only be two of which go to Texas. So I'm thinking the Sox lose something more like 4 prospets. Plus they get one back in Dunn, which is a net loss of 3. Odds are if things work out, they get at least 2 draft picks from the two guys that are acquired, which is another 2 prospects in return (IT could be 4 picks, but thats a ?) which is a net loss of one prospect and in the draft picks, if done right you should be able to get some top talent.
  2. Welcome Aboard And I agree with you, it seems like so long ago when he had that blowup in the playoffs. I still say this kid could be real good. He was finally making it back and if for some reason he becomes a free agent, I'd hope the Sox would take a chance and give him deal with some incentives.
  3. He is looking real good to me. THis means the Sox can part ways with someone. In all honesty, if I was thinking longterm for the Sox, it would be Frank Thomas that I'd move and I'd keep Carlos and Everett to platoon between left and DH. Daubach would play ocassionally as well. I'm thinking the O's may just be interested in Thomas now that he's resurected himself. Plus the Sox dump a contract that really could end up being rather expensive. And I'd rather lose Thomas then lose an ace like Buehrle.
  4. I'm thinking Soxtalk should collect about 4% of the auction fee I saw one of them during the game and it looked way cool.
  5. Konerko unloads on a homerun into the Sox bullpen 5-0 Sox with one out in the 5th.
  6. Alomar starts up a real nice double play to end the inning. Entering the bottom of the 5th, 4-0 Sox.
  7. Gray is a hitting machine. If I recall he's undersize. I've noticed he has played a few games at 2nd as well. So a switch could happen if they decide he's too short for 3rd. The guy is a pretty polished hitter though.
  8. Magglio grounds out to the 3rd baseman, stranding runners on 2nd and 3rd. Still a prodcutive inning as the small ball pays off. 4-0 Sox after four.
  9. Lee rips a single into left field (Really hard hit). Frank crushes the first pitch and its down the left field line and goes off the top of the fence. Carlos can only get to 3rd and Thomas is on 2nd.
  10. Alomar hits it into foul territory in left field. Outfielder makes a really good play but Crede is able to score, so the SMALL BALL WORKS 4-0 SOX in the bottom of the 4th. Carlos is behind in the count 0-2 with 2 outs.
  11. Ya, it was last year that his son died just before the game and it was cancelled. Didn't know his wife died. Its really sad.
  12. Ya, I'm listening to them too but on Extra Innings. - Alomar does a great job with a sac bunt down the first base line moving Crede to 3rd. Now lets knock him in and let this small ball pay off effecitvely. Tigers announcers mention possibility of a squeeze play (They obviously don't know how slow Crede is).
  13. Crede leads off by ripping a double down the left field line (Landed right around the warning track).
  14. Buehrle strikes out Pena to end the inning. 3-0 entering the bottom of the 4th.
  15. Did u guys know Buehrle was cut from his baseball team his freshman and sophmore years?
  16. Top of the 4th Bloop single puts runners on the corners with two outs and Carlos Pena at the plate. Go get em Buehrle
  17. Hey I'm referring to Maldanado. I just go by the name I recognize.
  18. Jose Pops Up to the catcher.
  19. Everett walks (Think it was intentional; wasn't paying attention) and Konerko ripes a single in between short and second (On shortstop side) and it gets through to score a run. Everett on third, Konerko on 1st. 3-0 with 2 outs in the 3rd.
  20. Maggs rips a single up the middle and Alomar scores. Sanchez (CF) makes a horrible throw and Maggs advances to 2nd. 2-0 Sox with 2 outs in the 3rd.
  21. Whoops, my bad. Everytime I see Carlos I think Candy for some reason.
  22. Oh I agree, its why I want to trade one of those guys.
