  1. Sanders for sure. You could see Glover go elsewhere with Wright coming up. Sox may just leave Wright in AAA until September. From what I saw of Wright his mechanics are really screwed up compared to what they were last year (not that they were amazing last year) but I never remembered him being as herky jerky as he is this year. I think they want him to get straightened out and you could even see them convert him to a closer down in the minors, but I doubt it. If the Sox sign another starter or two this offseason (Or Reup with Colon) then I could definately see Wright moving to the closers slot.
  2. I doubt the Sox will deal Bartolo. They know no matter what they'll get 2 draft picks for him. Now if the right call comes in and the Sox can get a younger ace or two for him then sure they'd make the deal. I just don't see them giving up on this season, so the players acquired would have to be able to help the Sox compete this year and in years to come.
  3. Thats fine with me, but I do have confidence in Dave Sanders. I think the big thing with him is he hasnt' been used much and I doubt he'll get used all that much down the stretch unless he starts putting good performance after good performance together. I think Sanders and Munoz will be fixtures in the pen starting next season. Hopefully Wunsch can get things together, give him another week down there. Once Wunsch is back I think you'll see Wright come back up and we'd insert him into the pen. Him and Porzio could kind of mix around and do a couple of things.
  4. ROFLMAO
  5. Here are Valentine's numbers. 1-3 with a 5.13 ERA. In 37 games he has pitched 47.1 innings. He's given up just 43 hits while walking 32 and striking out 46. Blanton is a stud prospect so I don't know why they'd give up a stud prospect for Escobar. But if it gets them in the playoffs yet again and potentially deeper in the playoffs, then its worth the good prospect cause the A's would maybe get another boost in revenue which could lead to a higher payroll. You'd think with all this winning that they've done that more fans would show up. I know their stadium is awful bad, but still, they have been pretty damn good for a few years now.

Well if she said that then she'd be pressed for filing a false police report and all that stuff or at least I think thats what would happen. If thats the case then the radio station I heard about here wavering is full of crap cause there would be no point of her wavering cause she has no options and the only thing that could happen is her getting busted for making false accuasations. Just heard on ESPN that the case won't be settled till next year.
  7. IT would of been a lot different if Jerry was willing to take on some salary. I think the big thing was this was probably one of the only options where the Sox could acquire the player without adding salary, something Reinsdorf wasn't willing to do. If the Sox only had the Rangers pay half of his salary, they could of probably got it done for someone like Ginter and another prospect or so.
  8. It isn't great, but its definately improvement. Day game during the middle of the week you wouldn't figure all that many to be there, especially against Cleveland. I stick to my guns that if the Sox win the fans will come and JR will make a fortune.
  9. Ya, hopefully he'll be bald as it gets in a few more days.

  11. I'm assuming it will be Marte to close it out. I'd guess that if there is any trouble Koch will be coming in. I think they'll give Gordon the day off.
  12. Thats an awesome sig!!!
  13. Sox just need to take care of business and keep taking care of business one game at a time. Right now they still have todays game to play.

If the Sox were to blow things up, I could guarantee the Sox could rebuild their rotation with Ainsworth, Foppert, and Boffner for Gordon and Colon. Giants would become front runners to win it all (IMO) and Sox would get guys that could help them this year and then in many years to come. Not saying they should blow things up, Sox have till the 27th for me to lay my verdict on that They may be winning now, but I've had confidence in them in the past when they get on a hot streak. They need to clobber the Jays and the Mariners and such. Actually they just need to start clobbering everyone
  15. Well now you might as well have Marte finish the game. Sox need to win this one

Vince, Where is the one of Iowa destroying Michigan last year
  17. He warmed up twice yesterday and pitched a couple of the games against the Tigers, there is absolutely no reason to bring him in when you have a fresh Koch in the pen. Plus Toronto crushes Koch so you'd want to use him today.

I would demand Ainsworth and Foppert. I guarantee they'd do it to. Throw in a reliever like Wunsch if they ask for more. I know they'd do it if you gave up Gordon (They could use a closer).
  19. Yep, I'd take that 500,000 and invest in some real estate and know that even if I never played in the majors i"d be able to hopefully get enough of a head start with that money to the point I can pay for college and put myself in a real good position. I think anyone that turns down a huge contract (Anything over 1.5 mill) is a fool cause it means they take another year and you never know what happens during that time period. Is it really worth making an extra couple hundred thousand knowing that their is the possiblity that you could get nothing or a whole lot next the very next year. Matt Harrington is the biggest fool in recent history. Could of had like 3 or 4 million and he's still yet to sign. By the next year his velocity had dropped big time and now I don't think he'd ever make it, plus he stil isn't willing to sign.

I have now finally formed my opinion and I believe that based on what I've heard thus far, Kobe is innocent and she is looking for stardom. I also heard on the radio that she's now wavering and may drop the charges. Then again Kobe may just settle with her out of court (if thats an option; I have no idea) soley so this thing could die.

I'll move it to the main board. Congrats HURT
  22. I'd go GLover or Sanders to Koch.
  23. How would he be a draft eligible sophmore?
  24. Damn, better then I knew.
  25. If the Sox have a big enough lead I'd probably led Glover or Sanders pitch an inning. Rather give Colon some extra rest since he had been complaining. I know he got shelled his last outing, but he looked to have some of the best stuff I've seen from him all year.
