Ok I'm confused, is it both CWSox's birthdays? By that I mean we have: cwsox (Vince) and CWSOX45 I just thought it was CWSOX45's. Either way if I missed one of your bday's happy birthday to both

I've seen that one. Thats a great episode when he thinks he can be a stay at home mom.
-
Hey, how about a little, you know kudos on the graphic? Its pretty damn tight. And you are right, I would like having Klesko on this team.
-
Its all good. Sox are going to win this. I don't have the numbers but I'd guess they are under .500 against teams with losing records while they are over .500 against the better teams in the majors. Whats up with the complacency. Just cause a team has a bad record doesn't mean they can't beat you. Of course they'll beat you if you play half assed and thats exactly what the Sox do. They play to their competition. This team can go deep, I just hope they start taking every game seriously.

come on Bartolo. On the plus side the velocity seems back up.
-
Not even if it meant the Sox would win the series.

Relax, its just an all star game. Scioscia is the best manager in baseball. He also wasn't a homer who just picked his own players. See how he took McDougal over Percival. Also lets look at Giambi's numbers. .268 AVG, 23 HR, 65 RBI, and a .419 OBP. He has a .951 OPS The key is the 48 RBI's Frank has compared with Giambi's 65.

This is ridiculous. First the cell phone there and now this. This was way worse in my opinion, but security would have trouble stopping something like this. What the heck are people thinking? The weird thing is this is the first I've heard of it.

Make sure to boo Sciosia and Giambi and Varitek
Chisoxfn replied to sox-r-us's topic in Pale Hose Talk
After looking at Variteks numbers I have no reason to boo him. He should be there. What kills Thomas is his lack of RBI's. -
Rivera has pretty good offensive upside. In all honesty I have no idea how he fell to the Sox. He has some good tools. He can also play defense.
-
This is a really good lineup in my opinion.
-
This is absolutely ridiculous.

Happy Birthday CWSOX45 Hope your having a great 18th

Ya, no point in putting Cotts on the 40 when he isn't needed on it. Diaz, Cooper, Ginter or Stewart can fill in. Since Buehrle is pitching in the 2nd game, wouldn't it be best to go with a righty in the first game so they get a little different style (Stewart and then Buehrle wouldn't be too wise, imo). I'd go with Diaz.

K we agree. Lets overtake the sox and deal Lee and Konerko for some players who can pitch, defend and run. Of couse, we are going to need to add more than those two players to get decent players in return, but im all for it. I'm with you. I'm more then willing to get some more complete guys on the team. Get some high obp guys that can do a lot of things. I'm also big on adding more and more pitching. I want a deep staff and a pen where I could say I'm comfortable with every guy in there. This team is close. The Sox are going to have holes at 2nd, ss, and CF next year. Harris and maybe Rowand could replace, but I don't know if thats the best way to do things.
-
I'm willing to trade him, but I think what they are asking for Beltran is ridiculous. KC isn't going to deal within the division as they are the team to beat right now.
-
Well I don't mind keeping Everett or Daubach in all honesty. I like the way both of them play. I'm more then happy with Daubbie and Everett splitting time at DH/LF and Daubach occassionally play 1st with Frank. Everett is a pretty good defensive left fielder.
-
Please call them up and ask them to add players that pitch, defend and run. Please inform them having 5 or 6 DH's is not the way to win championships. Thanks. I completely agree with you. I'd probably move Carlos and Konerko next year. Magglio isn't whats wrong with this team, even though he is swinging for the fence more this season.
-
Remember fans don't vote the pitchers in, so thats up to the managers. I don't think this is Rockets last year so they wouldn't give him any special treatment.
-
I agree with you. This trade would be much better at the end of the winter meetings. I think this offseason will bea busy one for the Sox as they find ways to make room to sign some of their better players. I think realistically you could see as many as four or five decent size trades as the Sox move payroll and add payroll in certain areas.
-
Well I've gotten every game on Sat but one, which was against the Cubs cause it was a game on Fox.
-
How bout this. I would like your reasons of why Varitek deserves to be in the game over Frank Thomas or Bengie Molina?
-
Agreed. The one thing is if the Sox move Magglio I'd see them adding a major league outfielder in the deal (Maybe Brian Giles) and some other things. Maggs is really valuable. Lets say its the Pads that are interested and that may be the case. You'd definately ask for Jake Peavy (The kid is damn good) and then Klesko and Burroughs. I'd really hold out for Burroughs. While you could get someone like Kotsay Burroughs is way good. Still, don't even think I'd make that deal. The Reds or Marlins could be interested. Marlins if they want to get a dominican guy that has a ton of ability and are willing to pay the money (Not likely)
-
I think their may be some truth to this. When you think about it the Sox have all the outfielders they need. While we never would think of Maggs as the guy to go, if the right offer came up the Sox could move Maggs to fill some big time needs. Not sure what the Sox would get though, but It would have to be an all star player and great young player thats already having sucess at the major league level.
