  1. I think Ring will pitch in another teams uni. Honel is deserving as is Ryan Wing. Honel better not be going anywhere. If he did that would be the end of my support for Ken Williams. I'm not gonna go into things like this though, said it enough that they better not give up any good prospects.
  2. Supposedly Orioles are showing interest in Konerko and Sox have had interest in Ponson for a long time. If the Sox could make that swap, I'd be happy. Even if PK got back to his old ways with the Orioles, I wouldn't complain cause the Sox have to move his salary if they are going to sign all these guys.
  3. If they are willing to take on Konerko for say, Guillermo Mota, we have a done deal.
  4. Reports are that it won't be Honel, thats for sure. Most of us are also hoping that Cotts is on that list of untouchables. I'm thinking the one PTBNL would be a guy on the DL, someone like Corwin Malone, maybe?
  5. Borchard isn't part of the deal and if he is, its a horrible deal.
  6. I think right now the Sox may of decided to pay a bit of Everetts salary so they didn't give up Cotts. Jeremy Reed, Wing, and Honel better not be a part of that deal either. Damn, I"ll be a bit nervious till I heard the names, then I may relax or be pissed. I think you may see them pull the Ponson deal now and move Konerko, either way they save money on the long run. I'd guess they'd be paying for part of PK's contract.
  7. I can't tell what they are getting. From the sounds of it they aren't getting top prospects (Knock on Wood) but you never know. I'm thinking they will get 3 decent guys, maybe a Hummel and Diaz plus a Meaux or something like that. Thats me hoping though.
  8. You're thinking like JR now young Jedi I have to when I think of my trades. I know they just aren't going to add salary.
  9. It seems another trade would almost have to be pending. The sox are too heavy in certain positions. Well there was some talk that the Sox were talking trade a few weeks ago in regards to Ponson. We all speculated that it was Lee we'd move, but the Sox were talking about giving them Konerko. When I think about it, the move would make sense simply because we dump that salary and Angelos has the bucks and is willing to add it. This actually lowers the Sox payroll and gives the Sox some freedom to lock some guys up, plus they could even add another guy later on.
  10. I agree with you 100%. What could make some sense is a Jimenez/Konerko deal with the O's for Ponson. This is if the Orioles are willing to add salary and take a risk that Konerko gets back in a grove.
  11. Trading Konerko would make no sense as his value in the trade market is almost nothing right now. It would make sense if they added Weaver because Weaver costs money. I do think Graffy could find himself the odd man out with Jimenez coming back to the roster or not going anywhere. Maybe the reason nothing has been reported on Jimenez is that the Sox are trying to make room for him or trying to trade him (Although they have 10 days to do it). This is me speculating.
  12. In regards to Jimenez, I've yet to read anything official on him going anywhere.
  13. Couldn't find anything on this. I looked at the mlb.com rule book, but it had crap.
  14. I'd like Diaz to be the best we give up.
  15. I'm guessing tomorrow for two of them.
  16. Anyone notice that they mention nothing about Jimenez being designated for assignment.
  17. Wily Mo is out of options. He originally signed a Major League contract so his first three years in the Minors were all option years. Oh ok. Still, I'd think that having Konerko up there and signing a major league contract and the extension would of done that. Looking on yahoo right now to find something.
  18. I just am not a big Jose fan at the top of the order because his obp is low, although Everett in the 5 hole makes a lot of sense and even what ESPN had with Thomas in the 2 and Everett in the 3 hole made sense. What may make the most is Carlos in the 2 hole with Everett in the 5 hole and then go with Daubach behind him then Crede and Jose and then the catchers. But this would be a drastic change. I like Carlos more then Jose as well in the 2 hole.
  19. I agree that a tablesetter would of been better. The thing is Everett has decent speed and a very good obp and in my opinion that makes him deserving of the two hole. Alomar and him should be a very good 1-2 punch and really gives the Sox a good mixture cause it means Daubach plays a lot more (Another lefty bat) and Jose can be down in the lineup, another mainly lefty bat. This really breaks the lineup up.
  20. ws61382 Anderson was the centerfielder taken in the first round. Sox took Ryan Sweeney (OF) in the 2nd round and then Clint King in the 3rd round (OF). Also Nanita or however you spell it is doing pretty good too.
  21. Alomar Everett Thomas Magglio Daubach Carlos Jose Crede Olivo Rowand and Harris play a fair amount.
  22. I'm thinking if they have a major league contract then they expire. Cause isn't that why Willy Mo Pena can't be sent down?
  23. I'm guessing Harris is the 2nd baseman of the future if they can't resign Alomar. Also, I'm not worried what-so-ever about these players "attitudes", I am worried about who we gave to the Rangers.
  24. Welcome aboard Neil. Its great to have another guy chiming in. I look forward to seeing you move up the ladder and into the majors. You've had a great season thus far and I hope your arm is feeling a lot better. Once again Welcome aboard
  25. Oh ya Rex, graphic is resized and fixed
