Not Reinsdorf, he had ordered the 'RPR' contract clause not be invoked. Williams did it against orders, and JR cleaned up the mess, giving Thomas a contract he could live with worth about the same as the old one. There's no way thats possible. If Ken Williams did that he would of been fired. It was a good move to invoke the Dimished Skills Clause in the contract.

While some of you guys and gals may have inside sources, I'm out here in Cali and I know people in Chicago were always talking about Thomas going to the Dodgers, but out here no one even mentioned it as much of a possibility. Dodgers were looking at Cliff Floyd.
-
If your implying that the Dodgers were going to give him 10 mill plus a year, then I got to disagree. There is no way that the Dodgers would be offering that much. If they were they would of signed Cliff Floyd to play first base. They didn't sign him because Fox told Evans he couldn't spend the money and I think he only got 8 million a year. They also would of showed interest in Jim Thome. Now if your talking about Frank's original contract when he signed it for like 10 mill a year, I do believe that he could of got quite a bit more in the mid 90's.

Probably just a glitch or you may of double clicked, either way no biggie.

I agree. You have very solid prospects in Cotts, Munoz, Ring, Honel, and Wing (not counting others at lower levels). You have a next tier of prospects which are a little less of a sure thing but still have possibility of being good in Rauch, Diaz, Phillips, Allen, An, Pacheco, and Yofu. Then you have guys like Malone and West who although injuries and struggles have lowered their status, could make it if everything eventually comes together for them. I know I am missing some (Bajaneru and Bullard, etc.) that could be on one of the above lists as well. I think that is about as solid of a list as most teams could come up with. I agree with you. Wing is really good and I still am amazed he never gets talked about, but I guess its kind of good that he doesn't get hyped cause then people won't expect a whole lot out of him and be ready to give up on him after two starts where he isn't up to par. Wing, Rauch, Munoz, Ring, Diaz, Cotts, Phillips. Rauch, Allen, West, Malone, etc. All these guys have good stuff and can get things done. Most of these guys won't make it or will have sometype of set back. By make it I mean become a really good player, but the potential is there for each and everyone of them. I know I left plenty of guys out too, such as Honel, good thing I remembered him, lol.

A lefty that is compared to Mark Buehrle. HE's around 20-25 in the prospect list that we had up so you can get more info about him there. Only reason he was that high was because of injury concerns.

Welcome Aboard Dasox24 I like Kearns more then Dunn. I think both are good, but I really think Austin will be a more complete player. I'd love to acquire one of them though along with Willy Mo Pena. I don't think we should be trading Borchard though, but instead moving the arms for prospects and move Konerko and Jose. Heck, if Thomas keeps hitting we may be able to unload him too. I'm sorry, but I want the contracts the Sox were stuck with gone and some great young talent in here. Then in a year or so, theSox won't be bogged down and some of the players will develop into a good nucleus and they can spend some money to finish the team off.

I think Malone still has a chance. He's so raw. He had that one amazing season and thats what he can do if he gets things together. The Sox have a lot to do with him though. I think with Rauch he will make it. I think he's got a really good curve, a decent slider and a solid fastball. He's got to develop all of his pitches though where he can really hone them, plus add a solid change to the repetoire. Its too bad he lost so much velocity after the surgery and thus far I haven't heard him regaining much of it, although I'm glad to know that Jim has heard good things from people in Charlotte.

Thats great for Phillips. I hope West's injury isn't serious. The Barons really have a megshift staff going. I think Phillips is deserving of the callup.

Sweet, this guy is supposed to be pretty talented. Right now I want Brooks, Veal, and Sweeney signed. I'm assuming Anderson is going to be signed pretty damn quickly. I have just made a page with all the Updated Signings This kid is supposed to have a great arm.

Agreed. One of the most relaxing things in summer is reading a good book out on the deck, or at the beach or a park. For me, that beats the crap out of playing video games. Thats how I study for my finals. I go to the beach where there is a great atmosphere and look over my notes or books and throw some football in between to relax the mind. Plus, its a GREAT Atmosphere lol jas i know why you do your studies at the beach dont lie to us now........we know better..... Yes, the Atmosphere, or should I say Hotchick-O-Sphere

Well Ring's stats are very very good.

Don't defend yourself by calling others names. Thats not the way we handle things here. Yes you can get into heated debates here and we tolerate pretty much everything, but useless name calling doesn't fly and your just throwing out personal attacks.

Congrats to the Warthogs.

Even Sunny California isn't that hot. Its like 65 or so and overcasty the past two weeks. During finals it was like 85 everyday. I like warm days (85 to 75) but I hate hot nights cause it means the whole freaking house is hot.

HSC, he got it to work. So everyone should be able to have fun uploading images. The one thing is after about 2 weeks I'm going to have it set where those images get deleted so it doens't bog down the server. Hope everyone enjoys

How many pushups can yall do? I once did 75 without stopping... I can do about 50, if I go all out. I weight like 155 or so. The one thing I do really freaking weak is bench, because I've had a bum shoulder from my baseball playing days. Its getting a lot stronger now.

Heads, what michelle wants is a way for users to upload images. I turned the settings on in the admin control panel but its not showing up. Was going to see if you could solve this dillema.

Ok, will do. I'll make a master one tomorrow and get it up.
