Ya, but Mark does have one of the highest winning percentage of all active pitchers. You take away this slump and it may of been the very highest. He is only 23 years old (Maybe he's 24 now) and the kid is flat out awesome for that age. This is a guy that already has 40 plus wins and could definately win 200 games in his career. Its early to say this, but he has great poise, knows how to pitch, and is a guy I want on the southside a long time. I can only hope he stays healthy and gets that opportunity. I understand if we move Loaiza or Colon and actually wouldn't mind it, simply because they aren't going to be around a long time or are at their peak value (See Esteban). Colon would be awesome to bring back, but JR isn't going to pay him. The Sox can get a ton in return for those two, a few of which could be some young aces and its worth it, imo, especially if this team is well out of the race. IF they can't win this year, then I don't think this bunch can win period. I think some of these guys are winners, but that team aspect just isn't working so you rebuild/retool it.

Most fans called Garret Anderson lazy for years. It turned out he wasn't lazy, he just makes things look so easy that it tends to make you look lazy. Not saying this is the case, but Jimenez is a type of guy that I think it could fit. I think he cares a hell of a lot. If he didn't care he wouldn't of worked his way back to where he is now. I also think getting a more firey type of manager could do D'Angelo wonders, not that he's doing bad right now. I definately see his flaws, but I truly believe they can be fixed.

Nolan Ryan sucked when you compare what he did to what he could of done. If he ever stopped giving a damn about his strikeout numbers, he would of been a much better pitcher. Hell, he could of probably still been pitching if you think of the number of pitches he could of cut each season by not worrying about the strikeouts. The Express was a hell of a pitcher though. I just think he could of been the greatest of all time by FAR if he was more efficient.

I won't say Jimenez would be worse then Jose. There would be fewer erros, but also fewer plays made (Jose does have a solid range factor). I still think getting Vazquez would be awesome. Maybe the Sox could move Harris for a different middle infielder, one that could play shortstop. Either way I stick to my thoughts that Harris may just develop into a pretty damn good player. This is just me going on gut instincts. He works hard and I think that hard work is going to pay off. I also love how hard he hits the ball when he slaps it (Not when he gets under it, and I notice him doing that less and less; He had a damn good bunt attempt today, too bad Mueller made an awesome play).

Ok, few, you scared me. I'm thinking Konerko will finish the season with a .256 avg and 23 homers. To me that would be a huge plus. I can only keep pulling for him. PK works his butt off and has a great attitude and is one of my ultimate favs. Come on PK, one day at a time, regain your form of the first half of last season

I didn't say it would be pretty. The alternative is moving one of our first baseman/dh's or moving Carlos or Magglio with Harris playing center and Borchard somewhere. Thats if he starts hitting. I figure it will be a good problem to have. But a Willie Harris that could hit .290 and draw some walks with Jimenez in the two hole would be a hell of a one two punch.

I'm still waiting to hear that Anderson signed. And holding out to hear that Moviel, Brooks and Sweeney sign.

August, I'm pretty sure its the ninth. Right now the way I have it adjusted is like this, but before its official I need approval from the other two (Mario and Mike - Cerbaho). August 3rd and 4th - Charlotte vs Louisville August 5th - Bristol Sox play someone at home August 6th and 7th - Kannapolis vs Rome (Could also see Winston Salem on 7th) August 8th - Winston Salem vs POT August 9th - Barons vs Chatanooga (I figured instead of seeing Winston Salem twice, we could catch Birmingham and going to Chatanooga actually cuts down the drive back to Chicago. I leave back to Cali on the 11th and then get to see the Angels play the Sox for 4 Thank goodness I'm able to work fulltime and more now that its summer. I can't wait though.

I think Harris has been hitting the ball harder every extra day he's at the major league level and I don't think its going to be long when he's knocking on the door and giving the Sox are reason to play him somewhere, everyday. Most likely that means Jimenez moves to short, which probably isn't the greatest thing defensively.

Rex, do you have any idea whether Phillips is going to go back to Kann when they send him back down or if he will still get a promotion to Winston Salem? I can only hope that Webster moves up, and REPLACES REED in the all star game

Damn it, I didn't think of that. And its in almost a week. Oh well. I am almost positive I've figured out a new way to the roadtrip where I can see Birmingham play, albeit it, it is when they play Chatanooga.

Vegas is pretty fun. I just go to Caesars and all the hotels. The last time I was there it was for a trade show though and well, I'm underage so I don't really know all the grand things to do there. What is supposed to be in green?

Agreed. I've loyally stuck with Buehrle and I have no doubt he's going to be one of the best pitchers in the majors for a long time. For that reason he was one of the few players I didn't call to trade in that article a few weeks ago.

I think down in the lower levels the Sox have a ton of talent.

I got it fixed. Everything was saved over so I had to scramble to find everything on my computer and change a few of the settings. All is well now though. Phew
