Cotts on DL
Yep. I am assuming they are slowly increasing it. Are they planning on making him a starter again? Or was this just a temporary thing.

Sox Sign Their 3rd Round Pick
Anderson is supposed to sign any day.

AA and AAA boxes for last night
Well, I know one thing, in the next top 50, Almonte will be falling.

Anybody like this deal?
If the Sox are going to let Colon walk, etc. Then there is no point in keeping Esteban and the Sox should do what they can to get young talent in and Esteban can get some young talent in here.

Sox Sign Their 3rd Round Pick
He's going to report to the Great Falls White Sox later this season. King played for Southern Miss where he hit 23 hr's this season. The kid has some serious power.

Josh Stewart
I've never been a huge Josh fan. I think he could do it though, if he improves his control. With his stuff just being average, he has to pinpoint his pitches, imo.

Josh Stewart
Thanks for hte update. I just knew he was hurt, didn't know how.

Paul Konerko
Pk didn't look bad his last two at bats. One at bat yesterday as a pinch hitter where he hit and absolute rope. One of the hardest hit I've seen of PK all season. Today I forget what he did, but it wasn't horrible. Those were some great picks though. I think just letting his mind relax is what he really need. PK really gets onto himself and with him going like this for so long, he's probably double thinking everything which can't help him. He's one guy I'd just flat give 3 or 4 games off and being that the Sox are in the NL and Frank is gonna get a lot of first, Konerko will probably get just that. Look for him to start hitting when the Sox head home.

Good news
I guess I missed Anderson yesterday, but Cali told me that he was at the game taking bp yesterday. Too bad the two of us missed it. Would of loved to see his stroke. Him and Valido are likely going to be the first two sign.

What a Game!!
It was a blast. And Cali isn't kidding. He called those shots. I think Crede is back on track. It all started when he was hitting some ropes foul and then ripped a single. 5 hits in two days for Crede. Cali and I brought him great luck. Hurt ripped a bomb and like Cali said WHITE was hillarious.

Sox considered bringing up Miles
I definately agree with you that most fans don't know near as much with what goes on in a trade. I think that Evans got really lucky with Perez, cause if he didn't get him, that would of been a laughing stock of a trade. Its not like Brian Jordan is cheap. Jordan is a solid player though. In regards to Hundley, yes he hit there, but this is Todd Hundley who became a clubhouse nuisance and remember, Evans wasn't there when Hundley hit so he wouldn't be familiar with him. I'd understand if the GM was there while Hundley played well and he knew a lot about him, but that wasn't the case. I'll give him some credit on Dave Roberts, but otherwise this team wasn't really built by him.

Wood vs Clemens
Sosa rips a one out single off of Clemens.

Wood vs Clemens
Yep. Wood made two awesome pitches and got hosed. To think, this would be a scoreless game. Wood is so damn good, so is Rocket. These are the kind of games I love to watch.

Sox considered bringing up Miles
Everything I have ever heard said they both wanted out for one......... and two, they couldn't afford their salaries as bench players. I agree about the financial aspect of it and they wanted to move Grudzelanek so Thurson could play (Good prospect LA has). Of course salary wise the move will save them something like 2 million over the long haul. The thing is the Dodgers gave up a lot of offense as both mark and Erric when healthy are very solid offensive players. This is all in hindsight though, but I know I thought it was a very strange move at the time. I don't know if he could of done better, but I think he could of probably trade those two for someone more serviceable then Hundley.

Wood vs Clemens
It sucked. Wood struck out Matsui.

Thats where you have it wrong, Grudzelanek and Karros weren't disgruntled. These guys had great attitudes and played their hearts off for the Dodgers. They would of been more then happy to stay on the bench and have roles there. Heck, thats what Karros is doing right now. The trade was awful because Hundley is worthless, but it did save them money. Of course it also weakened their bench. Let me say this, Erric and Mark always worked their butt off down here in LA and I never ever heard them whine.

Barons Hire Mark Haley as Hitting Coach
I stand corrected. He was at W-S last year and not this year. Rex, is his salary based on June 16th or 17 till the end of the year or does he help out as kind of a roving instructor before that or spend time in Arizona?
-
Barons Hire Mark Haley as Hitting Coach
He could of been. I mean if they are paying him, no point in just letting him wait for June 16th or 17th when Great Falls starts playing. I just know he was part of the Great Falls staff.

Sox considered bringing up Miles
Oh I realize that. Lets remember, I am the same nut that has backed Ken Williams. The thing is, his trades for Shuey and Houston were beyond ridiculous. I won't complain as much about Shuey, although he gave up Rodriguez (Indians best starter in my mind) and another top prospect, but they gave up two really good prospects for Tyler Houston. He also had a not so good draft, although thats not really the gm's responsibility.

ChiSoxFn, I don't understand you comment. Why do they keep going with a 23 man roster??? Because the Minor League roster is only 23 players, except for the first and last months of the season, when it is 24. Lol, shows what I know. How come they keep the roster smaller? Is it mainly because there is no use in having guys that soley come off the bench because they wouldn't be getting the time to develop? I just assumed it was a 25 man roster. Thanks for the FYI, cause now I know.
